    DIMLIM

People in the thread don't hate dimlim, we want them to succeed because they showed some of the strongest potential we'd seen around in a stale scene. People are salty because dimlim are shooting themselves in the foot and fucking up what could've been fantastic for fans, the band and vk.

Here's a summary of the post: Kana was diagnosed with adjustment disorder in January 2018 and he told the president of B'Forest Inc., but the president didn't understand and told him he was sick and fired him. In March he got an attorney and in June he filed a lawsuit against the president for power harassment and for money he was owed. In the first trial it was confirmed that B'Forest Inc. owed Kana 3.2 million yen and that the president did indeed partake in power harassment. The court ordered B'Forest Inc. to pay Kana 3.7 million yen. However the president made an appeal, and at the appeal hearing in August 2020 they reached a settlement in Kana's favor of 3.3 million yen and an apology for the president's lack of consideration towards Kana's disorder. Kana received the settlement in September. He couldn't write about it before because it was part of the trial, but he had been suffering from power harassment for years and eventually developed adjustment disorder because of it. Apparently the president never admitted to power harassment. Kana does not forgive the harassment and was initially adamant about the court's decision because he didn't want it to keep happening to his former label mates, but after the president appealed he just decided to accept the settlement. He wants his former label mates to be paid properly or to stop working for the label. He also made it a point to say that the president did apologize so no one should slander him or harass him because of this. In regards to how he's doing he says he is physically and mentally healthy. The trial took a long time and he had to get treatment for his disorder but he's glad he worked so hard and was rewarded by the trial. He didn't want to leave all the people that were concerned about him without answers, and he wanted to talk about his feelings over the last two and a half years, so this is why he made the post now. He would like to return to the stage again some day and hopes everyone is doing well during these times.

    Monochrome Heaven Memories

It's a been a long ride. I've been on here for 11 years, close to 12. Everything has to come to an end and I honestly can't say where I would be without this place. Without any hesitation I can say that Monochrome Heaven, or Tainted World as it was when I first joined, changed my life. I'm genuinely curious how that makes people like Zess and Ito feel that they've had such a significant impact on a person's life just by making this place and running for all these years. The current trajectory on which my life is on was set by all the friendships I've made in this place over the years, and through everything I went through this place was a constant companion. Zess, Bear/Sumostig, Junna, Shizu, Whirlingblack especially have been significant to me and I'm grateful. Who knows how deep I'd be in normiedom without these people influencing my taste in the way they did. If it wasn't Christmas with the family I wasn't as tipsy as I was, I'd probably have a whole lot more to say about this than I do now. Me and Whirlingblack started really hanging out proper in the beginning of 2017 when I decided to just bail Finland. I stayed at his place for some time and I don't remember what we did together, but what I do know for sure is that it was the kind of debauchery what we would we doing together and independently to this day. Shizu is another person that by his existence has assured me I'm first of all not entirely alone in world with my tastes and interests. But it wasn't just the few people that one stuck around with all these years that made the place, but also all the characters that've come and gone over the years. There is so much stuff to dig out of the annals of monochrome heaven and tainted world that in my case it'd be a book. What the new people on here don't know, is that this place had a tremendously active chat back in the days that was integrated into the website. Almost every was there at one point, and during its heydays absolutely nothing was going on my life, so I was there almost every minute or every single day. In my country you have to take dancing lessons for the prom for like six months, and in 2012 when I went through that thing most of that time I'd be giving live status updates throughout the whole experience. Before and after I'd be sitting in Mcdonald's drinking coffee and it became a running joke that I was always online, always people watching in Mcdonald's. Probably some of my best memories from the board are from the chat years. Shoutout to everyone who was there to experience it So much stuff has happened on this board that new people have no idea, because so much has been lost to chat logs, private messages and purges over the years. The forum as it stands rn is only a tiny fraction of all that had taken place. I'm too drunk right now to remember any of this stuff, but it means so much to me and I'll cherish all of these memories forever. Here is some of people I've met irl over the years from here in a random order wb, marcus, jigsaw, shizu, saltofstones, allisapp, panda, pretsy, hyura, slsr, stylelover, 237q, gaz, tokage and many, many others I've met for a minute or two during gigs. I proofread none of this Those who don't have me anywhere can follow me either on here https://twitter.com/SoderlundAleksi or just add me on fb Aleksi Söderlund Everyone who I've shared this place with. I love you all. Good bye and thanks for the memories, all those i've laughed or fought with.

    MUCC SATOち leaves the band

Member leaves band after 23 years and retires from music and instead of people lamenting that it's just a bunch of shit posts trashing him and the band. I don't get it... Well, actually I kinda do since some of you are a gimmick/act at this point. Just way too damn negative. Anyway... Surreal news because I was listening to their earlier stuff like 2 days ago and looking at their earlier photo shoots and those really young pics of them in the AISHUU booklet and thought to myself holy shit these guys have longevity. I was appreciating how they've stuck together over the years and then I wake up to this news today. What a coincidence. 2020 has been wild between Kenichi leaving Merry, Ryo leaving Baroque and retiring from music, and now this latest succession and retirement... Like, what is he going to do now? I'm surprised he's leaving music entirely. https://musicbrainz.org/artist/d293c00d-015d-4aae-9b76-b5754c63f6d3/works He composed some pretty great songs: KINSENKA, NUKEGARA, MEDIA NO JUUSEI, REQUIEM, MAE E, HOTARU etc...

    Returned from the dust (O.O ! )

Hey everyone! It's been a while! (Probably 5 years since I stepped down as moderator here, damn!) I'm kinda back into VK/J-Rock and stuff, so I'm probably trying to start hanging out here more like the old days. I hope everyone is still doing fine and well! I wonder who are still active here from the time I was active on this forum. Anyways, like old days, hope to get a chance to talk through the chat! Also, I'm open to any band recommendations, hit me up with links as spotify and such. Maybe my lastfm will help with some recommendations ^^ I'm currently still into MEJIBRAY and I also like bands such as ACME, HAKLO, Versailles, Diaura, Nocturnal Bloodlust, Royz. Hope to see my old friends again as meeting new friends! Yoroshikuuuu~~

Well that ends the era of Jrockdrama/JRD. Someone else can take my mantle and run with it if you have the money. They make Golden Bomber masking tape. Wtf. Also got surprised with Jin-Machine rarez I didn't know existed. It's like you have to go to EVERY tour final to get a CD with unreleased songs. Some of them are really good, some of them are like them fucking being dumb. Also MiMiC loves giving me merch and chekis with MiO. It's like they know. Also MiO writes all of their songs.

M-H will disband at 2021/01/01 due to losing confidence of visual kei since the same date, and their alter-ego band "JROCK ONE" will commence activities they will still search for visual-kei news in the future but will not post anywhere in the near future PS1: M-H people are talented enough to find news, and thus visual kei no longer needs them anymore PS2: that mod, psychonnect_rozen, and vk stan twitter/reddit/facebook groups should be happy for this news PS3: hope that this thread will not be deleted or edited by that mod, who is not willing to delete other threads upon his request --- Sorry I wrote a fucking novel ;V

    Monochrome Heaven Memories

FUCK IT, DOUBLE POST. Figured since I'm stuck with my old PC now I might as well do a deep dive in hopes of coming up with some funny images from days of yore. Unfortunately it didn't yield a haul as big as I anticipated...but anyway, here are some things I dug up that I found funny (or that were funny at one point in time). While MH closing got us like... ...let us think of the good times. Remember when Akane from D.I.D. expressed his religious views, even tho nobody asked? But he wasn't the only one to be brilliant on social media. THE HAKKIN were pretty lowkey but they managed this whopper once: Remember the MOO album from DEG? Or DOGEMA from the GazettE? Or... (ok I know I'm the only one who still finds doge funny in 2020 idc) Anyway, when it comes down to it, love is the answer. Let that special someone in your life know your true feelings. ...or you can just get to the point. Sadly I don't have many screenshots from MH itself, but for some reason I kept this gem by @Tokage: Closing off, let's remember that through all the good, bad or strange times it has always just been about the music, maaan. We're just a bunch of people going crazy over some (mostly) random underground fan-exploiting-or-worse weirdos who probably don't even know or suspect we even exist. Opinions are opinions, no need make a big fuss over them, but... I think we can agree that visual kei at its peak has made us all feel a bit of what @Shaolan974 once formulated that has stuck with me to this day: Adios once again, MH.

    DIMLIM

I just checked all the likes for their premi-ere-um live on twitter, and it's all vk-inclined Japanese people and weebs. Those mythical math rock fans were not present, so I guess they don't use twitter—or they could be off-the-grid too, so to speak, because they don't seem to play DIMLIM much on Spotify either, since all the artists that "the fans of this band like" are vk bands. Maybe the stats haven't updated yet idk Lets brought this on himself with his complete lack of self-awareness and people skills. Their fans started making fun of them for not having a bassist only because Lets is doing his best to pretend that it's not an issue. One tweet going "we're looking for a new bassist please be patient kittekudasai and sunimaseenn" and no one would mention it ever again. Under normal circumstances I would have no sympathy for entitled gya either, but Lets should be aware that if you get backlash for something from the people you depend on, the solution is not to double down on everything that got you the backlash in the first place while blocking people left, right and center. I don't have anything against such an abrasive outsider art approach to PR either, but it's obvious that they still rely on those fans to even have a career. It's indisputable that all the people who bought their tickets in America are weebs and I won't listen to anything saying otherwise. If he just made one self-deprecating tweet about this whole thing then it would all be over and people would stop shitting on them and go on waiting for new music, but no, Lets is his own biggest mark and he'll instead focus on the E S S E N C E, which is biting the hand that feeds you. People didn't shit on Yeti when Emiru moved on to play indie rock for a non-vk crowd. If they didn't do this shit and have their one-member street team here, then this topic would be dead. Now people are just enjoying the ride before it crashes.

I nearly forgot what today is... It's my VK fan anniversary! Today marks 4 full years of being a fan. It's not about the time I've been a fan for, it's more about everything that makes me so grateful to be a part of this community and to have accidentally stumbled upon this music scene all those years ago. I've made lasting, deep friendships, I learned to become a nicer, empathetic person, and I've been given so much and have barely started to give back. Above all, my hobby brings me so much joy and I'm forever thankful to every bandomen, big or small, for making music that makes me (simply put) feel. And of course, to the lovely fanbase that has treated me so well over these past years. My passion hasn't wavered in the slightest, even from when I first became a fan. I feel like I'm in for the long run and I'm glad I have such a wonderful community in it with me. Thank you.

I'm an ordinary person who has been surrounded by tons of amazing people for my entire life. Too talented and skilled that one would easily feel inferior to them. But I don't take it that way. I'd rather say I'm incredibly lucky that these kinds of people exist in real life, not someone cool on TV or in the book, but someone I know personally and very close to me. For example: My maternal aunt - She runs a long time established food business (an industry level) that has been around for many decades. Her net worth is approximately $100m. One of the celebs in this country. My neighbor - A big family who I have known since our grandpa's era that lives only 10 meters away from my house. They run a construction and land business for many decades. Their net worth is ~$30m. My best friend forever's younger brother - A YouTuber (game caster) who has been in the scene since 2012 when only few people knew about monetizing on YouTube. So he is one of the top YouTubers here. His net worth has just reached $3m recently. He is only 26. My high school junior - He is friends with the YouTuber above (26 years old). He has been through a lot in life. He is a developer who runs a software company at the international level. His income is ~$100k/mo. Lately, he and his team launched a cryptocurrency and listed it in Binance and several exchanges. Now it's in the top 60 with a $200m marketcap. (Not gonna mention the name as I'm not promoting it.) Any many more... too many to list all of them. Having these kinds of people around immensely inspires you to do something in life rather than sticking with lazy, passive, and unmotivated people who don't have any certain goals in life. What they have in common is they built up their wealth from scratch literally, not inherited. No supportive daddy and mommy. This is cool af honestly. There is a saying that the books you read and the friends you have can tell what you'll become in the future. Personally, I've been working on several web apps. Not a startup but a one-man team. I've come to the point where I'm not behind anyone in the field anymore (~30,000 hours of practice). I don't know everything, but from where I am, it's not difficult to learn anything new. My flagship project got tons of positive feedback in a world class developer community. So I'm kinda relieved that it's not gonna be a flop. Even if it is, I'd build something better instead of quitting. I'm totally inspired by the people around me.

SHOXX vol. 5 + vol. 8 full scans

Here I go logging in for the first time in (like...) six months. I've made it a (painful, admittedly) project to scan in all of my magazines in full and have them available for download. The reason being, a) it's cool to have images and know where/when they're from and b) I think it'll be good for newer fans especially to see where bands they know came from/the culture at the time. I tend to get slightly frustrated when people seem to completely rip bands apart from their context or not really be aware of the wider culture at the time. I'm putting this up on a blogspot (please enjoy my very marketable skill in web design) and here's the links. I'll add some previews to this post (they'll be quite small, apologies). The next one I'm scanning is volume 29. I need to put up volume 15 too; the scans are each about 2GB (zipped) so it's for the very dedicated. Enjoy ! from vol. 5: from vol. 8: page links: volume 5 : https://biological-slicer.blogspot.com/2020/09/shoxx-vol-5-september-1991-full-scans.html volume 8 : https://biological-slicer.blogspot.com/2020/09/shoxx-vol-8-1992-full-scans.html

Haha, yeah, that was quite a wild ride. Also when it turned out that Kisaki was an abuser and pedo… thanks to MH I lost all the respect I had left for him, lol. ––––– RIP Mh. Took me a while to write something… I know I didn't post much at the end, because I took a break from the internet and especially social media. I don't know if people really recognize me, since I am here only sporadically, despite being signed since a long time. I admit, I like lurking more than actually talking to other people. I still took part in some discussions and being the weird introvert that I am, I usually regretted voicing my stupid opinions afterwards. In the end I didn't delete any posts though, because I feel that's part of forum culture, owning up to the bullshit you say, even if it's cringe and letting it stay on the internet. Some disputes and lovely banter here was funny though and it fills me with a strange fuzzy feeling to know that i have been part of some fandom drama. It's like being part of an old folk tale, you know? Now I wonder how much of the drama will be even remembered in 10 years… Honestly, a year ago or so I believed MH would stay for much longer, since the forum managed to outlive most other de-centralized communities and websites. Seems I was wrong and it comes to an end sooner than I thought. I know there's a new community on discourse, but I have to admit, I don't like social media sites and centralized web hubs and places. I think discourse is a better alternative than having nothing, but MH's UI was miles better. MH also feels so much more personal… I cannot explain it. I just don't really feel the same thing when I go online on sites like reddit, facebook, etc. Everything's quite dull and surface level, particularly on FB. VK fandom communities on other sites are also rather meh… Anyway, before I start writing bullshit, I just want to thank all the people who kept the site alive for more than a decade. I discovered a lot of great bands and music here, some of the discussions were entertaining to read. Hope you are all doing fine, despite the train wreck of a year we had.

For some reason this completely flew under my radar, but it appears RAKUGAKI has released their 1st digital single under their alterego moniker 羅苦餓鬼 (also read as "Rakugaki") on 2020/10/31, titled 『殺意二満チタ貴女へ…』("Satsui NI miCHITA kijo E..."). As you could guess from the stylization of the title, it's more of a dark kote-kei influenced record compared to their usual eclectic pop-punk rock style. This comes as too late now, but they were also taking pre-orders for a special made-to-order cassette version of the single until 8th November (i.e. the number of copies are limited to the number of preorders). So that slipped us by now, but at least we can listen to the tunes online. TuneCore link Here is the Youtube playlist of the single for those who don't have Spotify and want to have a quick listen: I thought this was quite fun! Still sad to see these guys go so soon...

That's just not a good look though. Almost their entire fanbase before MISC was made up of vk fans and metal fans, so for them to purposefully shut them out isn't really a good move imo. No one said they had to keep being visual kei, and if they just stopped dressing up and dropped the album I don't think anyone would have had a big problem. But Retsu renouncing vk and blocking old fans and the entire lyrical concept of MISC seeming like a jab at people who didn't like their stylistic change - well that's a good way to get people to stop caring about your band. Not to mention that the actual releasing of MISC was handled very badly with it being delayed several times, having confusing info on whether it was going to be digital only or physical, nearly no previews, and then Retsu with his "essence" and anti piracy antics at that time... I think they effectively managed to push away a good proportion of their old fanbase with all that. They might be getting some positive attention outside of Japan, and they seem to have prioritized that over Japanese fans anyway considering their international bookings and Retsu doing that one interview video in English lol, but COVID put a stop to those shows so what are they doing for their new fans now? They released Kidoairaku on streaming services which is nice and all, but even their plans for an international merch store haven't quite worked out. I get that this year has been really tough but I just question where they're going to get the money to keep going with this band. They seem really inactive at the moment and that's usually not a good sign - even in these times.

    An interview with NightingeiL

Thanks to @Katt for some "question help and spell/grammar check!" You can read this interview also on J'ROCK'N'ROLL!! https://jrocknroll.com/interview-with-nightingeil/3/ Japanese version https://jrocknroll.com/interview-with-nightingeil/2/ ----------------- We are living in a global pandemic, so how are you currently dealing with the corona issue? Vo. Kon: I just leave the global corona problem to the experts. Gt. Kaie: I’m soooo tired of it. Gt. Nao: I’m taking more precautions than just following the general measures. Ba. Rei: I don’t take any special measures, because I think, if you get it, you’ll get it. Dr. Hakuya: I just endure it, and I’m aware of myself to stay safe and healthy. Japan is full of Kanji, so how would you describe NightingeiL with just using one Kanji? Kon: 傷 (kizu, scar): I guess because we are a naive and sensitive band. Kaie:血(chi, blood): Because it’s or underlying concept. Nao: 色 (iro, color): We have a dark image, but we have different nuances in various aspects. Rei: 闇(yami, darkness): Because we are a two faces band Hakuya: 夜 (yoru, night): It’s the opposite of the brightness of the day, we as a band can live without light as a nocturnal character. And how would you describe yourself with just one Kanji? Kon: 無 (Mu,nothing) Because I want to think about anything at all. Kaie: 楽 (Raku, easy) Because I am an optimistic person. Nao: 猫 (neko, cat) Because I can’t live without this creature. Rei: 陰 (Yin,shadow) Because I’m a gloomy person. Hakuya: 喰 (Ku, eat): LIVE is a one-shot soul life, I’m performing on stage with the intention of eating and swallowing everything! In 2012 you disbanded once, and in 2017 you guys returned back, has anything changed? Kon: We had a member change and we are a 5 member band now, also what we want to express has expanded with those changes. Kaie: To me it feels as if we started a brand new story. Nao: Of course the members changed, but I don’t think that the inner core of NightingeiL has changed. Rei: The color of Solei has become darker. Hakuya: We understand each other better and also our new members own input of their sound and entanglements ideas. Why did you decide to use the name NightingeiL as a band name? Kon: We chose the name NightingeiL to express life, love and death. What made you decide to use your stage name? Kon: I can’t remember it anymore, I chose it too long ago. Kaie: A character in the manga To-y is also called Kaie. Nao: It’s a part of my real name. Rei: My name is of no particular origin, but my fortune teller advised me to change my name because it doesn’t have any pluses. Hakuya: From the anime “Bleach” from Byakuya Kuchiki, the first captain. We are all influenced by someone or something so what are your musical influences? Kon: Many bands and artists have influenced me. Kaie: Punk at its core, also hard rock and positive punk. To keep it short, I like LUNA SEA. Nao: Of course it’s Japanese visual kei music, but nowadays I don’t care much about the genre. If I think it’s good music, I’m influenced by it. Rei: I like Zi:Kill and Merry Go Round. Hakuya: 90s J-POP. You all play an instrument (vocals included(smile)), but what made you want to play your instrument? Kon: Because I didn’t have to spend money to buy an instrument. Kaie: I just happened to be in charge of it. Nao: My dad had a guitar at home. Rei: I’ll skip answering this question because it’s an impure motive. Hakuya: My parents played the drums as a hobby, so we had a drum set at home, so also I started to play the drums for fun. So please tell us which type of instrument you use. Kon: I’m using SHURE BETA58A. Kaie: The tones I play are almost straight from the amp. Nao: The current guitar I use is one I painted myself. Rei: I’m using Warwick JAZZMAN. Hakuya: My drum set: TAMAdrums starclassicBirch. Hardware: TAMAdrums Cymbals: Zildjancymbals Twin Pedals : AMAHA FP9310 Talking about memories, what are some of your favorite memories? Kon: Our emotions after we finish recording together.. Kaie: Can’t choose, so I guess all of them. Nao: Our live shows and also our daily life together. Rei: That I am finally able to perform with the legends which I saw in magazines as a junior and High school student. Hakuya: Our live shows at big venues and touring around. You’ve been in the music industry for a long time, so what has changed the most since the start of your career? Kon: I stopped to compare my own band with other bands. Kaie: I don’t have too many expectations anymore. Nao: We don’t have to be bound by certain stereotypes anymore, we can express ourselves in different ways. Rei: Our hair was up to our waists, however now our haircuts are shorter. Hakuya: Our music and attitude towards the band and how to enjoy it has changed. And what’s the secret to staying active for so long? Kon: It’s finding the good balance between yourself and bandmates, also too keep up a healthy distance between each other. Kaie: Because I love what I do and because we have people who support us. Nao: We love our music and we respect each other, which leads to good relationships between each other. Rei: We don’t get into conflicts easily because we don’t play as a band on a regular basis. Hakuya: The most important thing above all is that we all love playing music and we are having lots of fun while doing it. Which song do you think is most popular under fans and what’s your own favorite song? Kon: Our most popular song is “吊り下げの恋”. And my own favorite is “その手” Kaie: I guess that our most popular song is “吊り下げの恋” and “白い森”. My personal favoriets are “その手” and “彼女と空腹” Nao: There are various of popular songs “吊り下げの恋” “12秒間” and “水銀”, but my own favorite is “孤島の彼女” Rei: “吊り下げの恋” a song which is easy understand, so it’s loved by many people. My own favorite is “孤島の彼女”. Hakuya: 歪んで走る and 身代わりの人 You have a lot of introspective lyrics, where do you get your inspiration for writing lyrics? Kon: I take inspiration from everything that happens in my life. How do you write and compose your songs? Kaie: We bring our ideas to the studio, and turn them into a real song together. Nao: When we write a song idea, we turn it together into a song. Rei: Based on our ideas, we create the final song together in the studio. How has your songwriting changed as you have gotten older? Kon: If you wonder about the lyrics, they haven’t changed. Kaie: Basically, I haven’t changed at all. Nao: WE haven’t made any big changes, but we’re not trying to omit them with negative energy, but we’re trying to affirm them and trying to absorb them. Rei: It’s getting simpler. Due to Corona, you weren’t able to perform live earlier this year. How has this affected you? How did you deal with it? Kon: No, problem at all, we didn’t have any live show planned. Kaie: We’re just in the middle of a hiatus, so… Nao: We weren’t able to make any plans originally, so it didn’t really affect us. Rei: It didn’t interfere with NightingeiL’s activities, so I just gave my dogs attention during the self-restraint period. Hakuya: I’ve been doing some personal activities, so I was able to perform live. However I wasn’t able to do any activities for about 3 months during the self-restraint period, so in that meanwhile I just practiced at home. When you are standing on stage, do you face any challenges? Kon: I’m always wondering how I can betray my audience in a good way. Kaie: To keep doing stuff easygoing, just to be natural and not being afraid of what I’m doing. Nao: Just to have fun. Rei: I always feel sorry for my dog to let her stay alone at home. Hakuya: To stay calm, if you stay calm you are able to enjoy the live show. Why is it important for (rock) bands to play lives? Kon: To feel alive. Kaie: Because it’s fun. Nao: It’s the most fun to do and more importantly it’s not only fun with the members but also with the audience. Rei: It’s a great way to earn money. Hakuya: We want people to see us because we’re alive. What’s the most important thing that has happened to you in your music career so far? Kon: Being into this current state now. Kaie: To be able to meet a lot of people. Nao: That I am blessed with my musical friends. Rei: Everything. Hakuya: Playing with my favorite artists and supporting them. Some years have passed since your last release, can we expect a new release soon? Kon: If it’s expected we’ll release it, we are also considering digital distribution. Kaie: We’re looking at it positively! Nao: Maybe yes, maybe no, I’ll give my best. Rei: Would love so. Hakuya: We’re currently considering it. What’s the biggest challenge of being a musician? Kon: To stay yourself. Kaie: To absorb things without losing yourself. Nao: How to deal with music. Rei: To not get fat and not to age (becoming unattractive). Hakuya: To keep loving and enjoying it. Have you ever thought about performing overseas as NightingeiL? Kon: If you have an offer for us, we’d love to consider it! Kaie: I would love to go abroad! Nao: Currently not. Rei: It’s hard because it makes me feel homesick. Hakuya: I always wanted to go abroad. Kaie tweets a lot of anime, but what are some anime’s everyone watched as a kid? Kaie: Can’t really tell, just check out my tweets. What’s your ultimate goal for the future? Kon: Sokushinbutsu. (To become a Bhuddist mummy) Kaie: My goal is as long as I can enjoy my life, it’s the best life I can have. Nao: filial piety (laugh) Rei: To own lots of dogs. Hakuya: To be a respected musician and not just a band member. Please tell us your beliefs and/or mottos as an artist? Kon: Where there is will, there is a way Kaie: Don’t beg, win, and it will be given to you. Nao: The first thing to do is to make something that you are convinced and confident about. Rei: It’s going to be a long story, so we’ll have to come back to it another time. Hakuya: I always like the drums, hit the drums, and push the ensemble to the next level. Please write a last message to your fans and readers. Kon: If you haven’t been exposed to the world of NightingeiL yet, this is a great moment to start. Kaie: The reason why I can take it easy is because there are people who are waiting for me. I am sincerely grateful. Although we are a peculiar band, we are looking forward to your continued support. Nao: Nice to meet you. My name is Nao, I play guitar in NightingeiL. Thank you for taking the time to read this interview. I hope you will continue to support us. Rei: Please let me touch your boobs when we meet. (laugh) Hakuya: Thank you for your support. I’ll always play the drums with my heart and soul. I will continue to play the drums, which is my life’s work, and I will continue to work hard every day to provide you with a comfortable and pleasant sound. I will continue to be a band member, musician and drummer for the rest of my life. --

my heart skipped a bit at first, but when you follow those guys for almost 20 fuckin years, there's certain things your gut tells you Ryo has always dealt with mental health problems, kei first solo act was born after Ryo's biggest breakdowns. I mean, the dude has written a book on the matter Cancelling tours and suddenly suspending activities points me to another one of those. Kei has been working on solo stuff for a while, so I'm sure he was somewhat prepared for something like this This saddens me AF, but I'm pretty sure we'll hear more from Ryo in due time. Hope he rests, get well, and make a comeback ASAP. If not, we just lost one of the most influential acts of 00's VK. Cheers to a legendary one!

    Hello (yet again)

Hello again!! I used to frequent here quite a few years ago and have dropped off since. I've made a few "hello again" posts and have dipped in and out but im hoping I'm here to stay for good I wonder if any of our veterans on here remember me... I've not actively listened to VK in a long time but I rediscovered my old hard drive with all my music on it and fell in love yet again Bands I have kept listening to despite falling out of touch with VK are Dir en Grey, MUCC, Plastic Tree, Buck-Tick, Kiryu, Awoi, Kagrra, DEZERT, Versailles and lynch to name a few (not much new stuff on there I realise!!) There are also a few non vk Japanese bands I love such as humbert humbert, kinoko teikoku, envy, MONCA URANGLASS, The Oral Cigarettes, LITE, Kenshi Yonezu, TK from Ling Toshite Sigure and amazarashi Excited to delve into this world again 😊

I feel like this fandom whines, complains, gets what they want, and cry some more. I'm on Ro's side on this one.

    Monochrome Heaven Memories

It's really touching to get notifications for being mentioned here. I'll definitely keep a lot of hilarious memories from this place as well. If I had to pick one, that one time we all joined forces and exposed Kisaki over his fake band history was definitely a peak. Whether we interacted or not, I hope everyone gets to live their best life beyond this forum. Have a good graduation and departure™ my dear monochrome citizens. Take care and stay healthy.
