Decided to join after lurking for a while and reading through the threads. Here for the music...and the drama, ngl 😎 Knew of VK previously but only checked it out recently, it has definitely changed somewhat from what I remembered. didn't expect chekis to be a thing, for one. Looking for recommendations too since I have only gotten a few songs from almost every band I came across. The only exception is codomo dragon which is my favorite right now. I prefer clean singing, though some growls/screaming is ok too. I prefer Dimlim's latest single over most of Chedora, for example. I really like: Ningen isu, most of kizu, gulu gulu's single, and like 3 arlequin songs lol. Songs like Henry by ZZooo are cool with me too! Non-japanese bands are fine too - looking to expand my repertoire! I...also listen to some 8psb...

There are many people on fb/instagram too who are throwing shit on them with a bloody mouth and it's fucking annoying. Most of them don't even know the band and acting like they're personally attacked. 🙄 So bad, being so butthurted about a thing they don't even related to. For God's sake there are even bigger bands using real stories/tragedies for their songs/themes and nobody gave a shit.

do you mind if i try to defend Retsu's guitar? i LOVE gretsch, they're my fav aside from fender, but compared to fender are so uncommon to see in vkei - yutori from pentagon plays deusenbergs which are pretty similar but that's usually the closest i've seen i have no idea if this track was actually recorded on that guitar or not but the solo makes me think it was - their pickups are like this middle ground between the crisp bubbliness of fenders' & 'heavier' humbuckers but without that watery mid-boosted PRS sound. it's pretty muddy & unclear & regardless of all that, totally personal taste but i like the contrast of small dude / tight unaccessorized clothes w/ the giant-ass guady guitar that'd be no one's first association w/ a darker styled band. + the white guitar / black clothes makes that contrast seem more purposeful. sorry for the huge answer but i love dumb things like this - bands that fuck w/ what's expected in smaller ways that almost seem accidental

Episode 21 is literally titled "Visual K", starring a VK-type rocker dude called Key and his weird antics. Also in one of the episodes (might be ep.1?) the evil mastermind boss of the protagonist is trying to learn guitar and then he's rocking out with a bunch of colorfully dressed up dudes while shouting "visual visual visual!" lmao.

The side effects are entirely normal. Anti-depressants are essentially harddrugs and are an invasive subject to your body and your body will fight them at first, you'll have to get used to them. When I first started Prozac I suffered from terrible migraines which I normally never had, fever-like convulsions, sweating excessively and generally feeling physically dreadful for three weeks or so. I don't generally understand the States' idea of prescription medicine since it seems like just about everyone can get them feeling the slighest cough coming up, but here anti-depressants are only prescribed by certified psychiatrists who know what they're talking about, and know the consequences of first time usage. If your doctor prepared you properly for what it's going to take to ride it out you should go with the process. It's not pretty at first but you should start feeling results after about two months or so.

I think that's more or less the reason I can't fully take to NAZARE, like they aren't bad their just so damn all over the place. It's good to have variation but there just seems to be little inconsistency, songs are often a jumbled mess and full releases end up being kind of incoherent. I did think for what they put out with the sample of "IDEAL" that seemed to be the most consistent thing they've done, have taken a chance and pre-ordered it so look forward to hearing that when it gets here. Maybe they have finally found and settled on a specific style.

I am kinda surprised that people here are more looking forward to this than all the shitstorm on twitter. i too find it more interesting than condemnable cause well open your eyes: this is bitter reality and also vk artists are kinda comfronted with the topic cause you never know what bangyas are up to. in any case waiting for the full mv now (ฅ˘ω˘ฅ)
