Still no great internet service so I haven't been able to upload photos, but so far I've seen Azami, PRAISE, HNIB, Gossip, THE NOVEMBERS, Fabled Number, and Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. I like Osaka better than Tokyo, and maybe I'm moving here next year !

    Nana:[shi] first EP "Morphobia" Release!

Thank you! Actually I don't like to sing in German as I don't like the flow of the language, but possibly there will be some part in the future! At least some kote eins zwei drei vier! I hope you'll enjoy it! <3 We actually had some issues with getting the songs online due to us using brackets etc in our name, which is why there was a delay unfortunately, but they should be online now under "Nanashi" instead of "Nana:[shi]" though

Some early LUNA SEA songs that never was recorded: ・DREAM IS OVER ・PERIOD ・JUNKY-もう死んだふりさせない- ・CONCLUSION ・FEELING ・Fly ・第三の言葉 ・SINFUL SONG btw ・JUNKY-もう死んだふりさせない- is the only LUNA SEA song I know of where INORAN plays the solo instead of Sugizo, possibly because it was so early and SGZ had joined fairly recently.

i am somehow kinda worried because shouldn't they upload their full PV for their song "M.F.JAP" today? i know with ESCAPE also they uploaded it like 01.10.2017 at 22:00 o'clock at their local time but for "M.F.JAP" there's still no teaser or any hint like at what time it'll be exactly uploaded on their twitter.... so hopefully we will still get some more brutality within the next 24 hours - i need some MOA!!...

I actually really like the song, sounds like a ballad done right. But I agree with Tokage - it's not even the effects, they just Melodyne'd the vocals so hard that he sounds like a vocaloid in some parts.

I assume, WhirlingBlack refers to this setlist, which list*ed UDaL and Setsuna. However, I have an incomplete a complete tereko w/setlist and the song after 藍紫色 is actually Re:birth. But I must say that I've never ever heard of a cassette demo with either of the two tracks as a B-side. The only demo tapes I know of are single/album promos, the two message tapes and the Karma / Aoitsuki demo. I'd be honestly surprised if there's more^^ As for La:Sadie's, you refer to this one, right? I think it's actually a re-recording, though. But my collection is kinda unsorted, so I dunno^^ And yes, I was confused about the name as well. Normally, they put the tape name on the spine, but it appears that in this case, it's the name of the event where the tape was distributed at. Their official discography also gives 生命ノ罪・・・ as the name. (Ignoring the ・・・NAME・・・ vs NAME・・・ issue, of course... seems like they could never really decide ._.)

    Single People Thread

As someone who's had to actually break a relationship off with someone else thinking those words exactly I can confirm it's not that easy to tell them there was something wrong. Or the thing may be that there wasn't. When I broke up with my previous boyfriend I knew there was absolutely nothing wrong with him. He didn't treat me wrong and he couldn't have done anything differently. I feel like it's easier when there's actually something you can blame the whole break-up on. That they weren't attentive enough or that you yourself have to sort things out in your head. But when it's just that you've fallen in love with someone else just because they were a different kind of person entirely, what else can you say? "I'm breaking it off, but don't think there's anything wrong with you, you were perfect, but anyways, so long". Tl;dr IT'S HARD TO BREAK UP WITH SOMEONE ESPECIALLY WHEN THERE ISN'T A PROPER EXPLANATION YOU CAN GIVE FOR IT.

MBHI had several unreleased songs, although most/all of them featured on their one live DVD release. They put a couple of short demos on YouTube around the time they started activity but several of those were never properly recorded. Interestingly though, one of them was a full song, it was just never released elsewhere: 21st century boy. Recently disbanded MALISEND also played their full discography at their final live which I was able to attend, which included at least 3 unreleased songs (including the various free distributions). I directly contacted them upon disbandment inquiring about purchasing these unreleased tracks as at least some of them had demos on Youtube, but they informed me that no properly recorded versions had ever been made, so I wasn't able to get hold of them. Going back to DDRM and KIDS WAR, Yoshiatsu's previous band Crazy Shampoo also had a couple of songs they often performed live but never saw official releases. After extensive research, it appears they had live distributions a long time ago, but since I've never seen them for sale either in used stores or at auction/Mercari, I consider them to be basically 'lost' songs. (Will pay for them if anyone has them though). The ones that immediately come to mind are 'Guernica' and 'Battou'. And on a personal sob story, I have always deeply regretted missing Signal's last live due to my flight being just two days later, and as a result will pay handsomely for a copy of their last single 'Crossing fate' which has yet to even see the digital light of day.

I've posted this around a bit, but this thread seems as good as any to post it again. Around the time that Grieva started, they were playing a mysterious song called "THE Suicide☆$HOW TIME". As far as I know, this hit the cutting room floor near the end of December 2012 and was never played again or officially recorded. Since Grieva released their final album, I think it's safe to say that it'll forever stay in the vaults. The only record we have of it beyond some old setlists was a recording I made at what was possibly the last live it was performed. I can kinda see why they decided to drop this thinly-veiled Child Prey rip-off, but nevertheless it was a pretty interesting piece of the band's history. Outside of Grieva, I've got a bit of info with... no real info actually XD Last year I had received some uncirculated demo CDs from the bands Orphee, Medical Trance Peach and Romance For~. Each of these contained 5-6 unreleased songs and (as far as I can guess from how they looked) came from a former(?) employee of a recording studio. There was no tracklists or other info on these beyond recording dates on the Romance For CD(1999.03.15~1999.04.15). Doesn't really reveal a lot, but it's still really interesting to see that each of these bands were in the studio recording a minialbum's worth of songs that would never end up being released.

Dir en grey has a ballad called "Ai Murasaki Iro" which has never been properly released and hasn't been played live in years. As far as I know, "Ai murasaki iro" was only played on the following live shows: Shibuya Public Hall on 1998.05.05 Nakano Sun Plaza on 1998.08.04 Kumagaya VOGUE on 1998.10.09 Nippon Budokan Hall on 1998.11.02 Here's some sources from the OHP showing this song does exist: http://direngrey.co.jp/special/arche2016/gallery_007.html There is also something called "NS1" not sure what that is. After digging around for a bit I found another Dir en grey song I've never heard of called "Setsuna", which is not the same thing as La:Sadie's "Setsudan". It could also be an early version of "tsumi to batsu" that's been floating around the net for years. 1997.05.31 at 難波ROCKETS 1997.06.27 at 宗右衛門町 COWBOY WORLD 1997.08.07 at 新宿 LOFT 1997.08.08 at 新宿 LOFT 1997.09.15 at 目黒鹿鳴館 1997.10.28 at 渋谷 ON AIR WEST 1998.02.21 at 博多DRUM Be-1

His clean vocals are nice, but at least we know they're not gonna stick to that permanently; like @itsukoii and a few others have said here, I think them not normally having clean vocals sets them apart from every other vk band, which is great. We need more bands that break away from that mold.

    LUNA SEA

Not really a fan of ranking albums, they all have so many great qualities.. Luna Sea had some of the most outlandish shit they ever made. It's got that raw, dreamy wicked vibe written all over it. Lots of dark green, blue, purple and black feelings, vines spiraling out from a naked body. There was no album as graphic as that one until Mother came along, where the production value and overall atmosphere tied together so perfectly. But if you look at pure musical content, I'd probably say that Image is ahead of the others. Anything after Mother would be my weakest pick. Sure, I love Style. It's like a musical representation of Sugizos magenta hair. LOVE&UNIVERSE all over the place. Just doesn't turn me on as the raw grit they churned out before. Personal favs: Face to face and Branch Road. The futuristic atmosphere in Face to face is just insane. It's also a real testament to where they perfectly combined artistic integrity with a new level of songwriting (eg. when the music seamlessly enchances the overall concept of the song). Branch road? Jesus, it's got so much shit going on. The dynamics between the different parts makes it feel more like a story than a rock song. Toppled with great counter riffing, Sugizos delaybombs, and the overall schizophrenic vocals. I'd say the vocals are the main character of the story. Switches between Ryuichi talking to himself and lashing out at the world builds a great dissonance that is later unleashed in the force of a thousand suns orgasm that is the chorus. It bursts out in some ambivalent scene of "fuck the world, but I'm going to be the one doing the fucking". Dat scream doe.

    LUNA SEA

It's kind of interesting for me - Luna Sea is one of the few bands I can't really associate too much with specific albums but specific songs. They were one of the earliest Jrock bands I got into (maybe around 2004-2005?), and that was during the time period where a huge chunk of music sharing was with individual songs. it probably doesn't help that Period was the first full album of theirs that I downloaded.
