Basically all of Dir en Grey tbh even their band name is an amalgam of "cool sounding white people words" The romance squad (Gackt era Malice Mizer, LAREINE, Kamijo solo, etc.) weren't exactly fluent in French, nor did actual French people proof-read their stuff. It's strangely endearing? I mean, they're doing their ganbare best, I can't fault them for trying. ju te veux, the French monologue in Mayonaka, some LAREINE songs like this one... I'm strangely touched.

I was looking for a SHAZNA album cover today when I found out that Winter's Review by SHAZNA was used as the Ending theme for Japanese dub of The Rugrats Movie?!?! Now that's what I call unexpected. I saw the Rugrats movie as a kid and seeing SHAZNA play over Rugrats footage is so surreal for me.

Man, I had the dream of my life last night. There was this record store attached to a school and I had enough free time to pay a visit, so I went on in. Browsed around, saw some cool stuff but then I got to the "Japan" section and nearly creamed my pants. Man who ran the store had TASTE. No Hatsune Miku. No full racks taken up by only Perfume and Kyary Pamyu Pamyu. Just two racks of assorted (mostly old schoo)l VK CDs. Some were real albums with covers I could recognize, like Macabre (Diru) or Children (Rouage) and others were completely made up by my brain (saw this Zilch one with pink and white polka dots and the hide with spread beaver logo with a heart inside it lol). So I did what my unbridled subconscious would wont to do and bought them all. I spent like... Over 200$ at once? Possibly 300$. I remember just flipping through them all, overwhelmed with joy, knowing that my dream came true! Then I woke up and realized that my dream did not come true. I'd prefer to focus on the positives, like the fact that I did not just spend 300$ on a whim as quickly as that, haha! I hope I can have a dream like that again...

Have they ever played いいくすり live? As I've never seen any clips of them playing it and is one of my favourite songs by them. Wouldn't surprise me if they had as it was a single.... but still, seems to rarely if ever come up in their sets for some reason.

Shit, now I’m thinking he was waiting for VK to get to the lowest point it ever could (bands disbanding in droves, live houses in shambles, the rich and powerful getting more exposure to the Yoshiki business model) before releasing it since nothing else would come out for weeks and promotion would be easy. Probably thinks he will save VK with it 😂. If he does, wow.....and now that I think of it, I expect donations to Japan’s most affected musical areas to be his targets, but for a musician to care about the places that made them big is rare.

Hello all! friggin hisashiburi bros. I haven't been around much just due to life in general. But lately I've been getting back in to music in a really intense way that I have started to make stuff again. No original music as of right now but I plan on making a lot of covers and a youtube channel possibly. I'm really stoked about it. I recently just got some pieces for setting up an at home studio. This cover is really only about 50% done but I'm so excited to track my progress. I'll probably still re-record the vocals again simply because I'm still waiting for my pop shield so there's still some aspects I would like to remove and line the timing up better. I'll also be adding a few more effects, a couple strings here and there, and maybe a bit more depth. My current set up is on PC. I'm using Ableton Live Lite (Until I can afford the upgrade) with a Novation LaunchKey 61. I recently got the Focusrite Scarlett Solo Studio kit which is what I am using to record vocals and possible future instruments not done through Launch Key. This song is a cover (incomplete) of Sweet Night by V from BTS. Let me know what you think! Also if there are any other musicians who are looking to collaborate I am super down.

Some Ling Tosite Sigure's song titles have awkward use of english like "I Not Crazy Am You Are" or "a over die" (Well, this is not a VK case). Also, DEXCORE's lyrics in general are a case of bad use of english, i really love that band but their use of it on their lyrics is so BAD that hurts

The only time I've seen it live was during their 'ALL SONGS FOR YOU' double-live where they played their entire discography up to that point over two days to send off their ex-drummer Yusuke. That was an amazing couple of days.

That's what actually bothers me the most: There are channels that do literally nothing but upload straight from the DVDs/Blu-rays. I mean, I know my channel is technically as much in the wrong as those others. But at least I make an effort not to upload any officially released material. Besides, in which year do they live when they think that material that was once uploaded to the internet (or streamed) can stay exclusive? It's 2020, if you upload something that is important to someone, they'll grab it before you can take it down again. There's no such thing as "exclusivity" with such content. So no idea why they'd go after me specifically. For now, I've made all my videos private and won't upload anything new until the strikes have expired. Then I'll have to see where to go from there. But of course, this ain't my whining thread, sorry for the OT^^ Edit: Now some rabbid fangirl reported my facebook account... what a strange day.

Haha, the awkward use of English can be pretty interesting even if it makes little sense, I think it's like stated above it's often just "cool sounding" words that are thrown in generally. But yeah remember one song by REIGN that used English events like "Christmas, Halloween, Birthday" (I don't remember the exact line now) but it was actually pretty catchy in the song, fit the rhythm of the chorus pretty well, so even if it's awkward it can sometimes work I guess. The one I came across recently that killed me was the song title "Everything Gives Me Chance What I Love It" by Mizuki Ohira which is a shame it has such a clunky title when it's such a beautiful song.

I can't believe nicolas is going to livestream their new dvd after just releasing it on sale... and it isn't even sold out on the website :(( I mean, this is super sweet of them to do and hopefully they can get a bunch of donations during the stream. I think this time I should have money to donate because last time I didn't :(( I miss them and I still feel so bad. They released a new album and then corona happened so they didn't get to perform for their new tour at alllll. And they were going to a bunch of people's hometowns and shit to play these tiny af venues (ok majority of vk venues are small but you get it). If we're lucky, the final in July can continue but it's too early to say. TLDR: i miss nicolas, i feel bad they couldnt tour, pls watch their live steam and donate if you can

NICOLAS recently released a DVD of their first live at Meguro Rockmaykan on July 1, 2019. They're also going to live stream it on YouTube! I think Saku said they're keeping in MCs and stuff. If so, it's going to be hilarious. The live was suuuper fun and there was even hella funny talk about what furi to do for their new songs. 😍 Edit: all MCs are kept and Saku never knows when to shut up so youve been warned 😂
