Once I was front row center for the band I went to see at a smaller venue and the vocalist had a minor wardrobe malfunction. He had set up a light underneath the step up so he could look all cool and shit, but he was wearing a long black skirt so all it did was light up everything underneath like a lampshade so I had a front row view of his underwear for an hour. I never told him because I didn't want to embarrass him, but I guess he figured it out cause he never tried to do that again.

    JROCKERS AGES (facts and guesses)

Yo-ka was born in 1987. I'm not too sure about the other members, but I'd assume Kei is the oldest since everyone else refers to him as "Kei-san". Juri and Leda from DELUHI were also born in 1987, and Sujk was born in 1983. Aggy, I'm not too sure about. Also, Hitomi from Moran was born in 1978, making him 41 later this month. I know, I can't believe it either.

Speaking of gay fanfiction... When I was about 16, I was facebook friends with a mid-30ies woman who wrote gay fanfiction online. She was inspired by my relentless fascination with Gackt and wrote a story of him and me, not sure whether I should be charmed or creeped.

Awwwww, okai ;w; so you write for other fandoms instead now or just nah, you just don't feel like writing anymore??? OH THEY WRITE THE GAY AS WELL lolololololol What's your pen name??? I might have read some of your work or not XD depending on the pairings as per usual -headdesk- still have difficulty venturing out of my OTP's lol AND YAASSSS SAME BROOOOOOO I used to listen to a lot of VK bands and just all out download as many new artists as I could back then, but now I barely even like their music lol except for mathilda and jiluka tho, glad I could find some new bands whose music I actually like to listen to. When most of the PSC bands disbanded or their music (like SuG) turned more and more into mainstream pop I just ugh, didn't really feel like listening anymore. I support them in the shadows yeah but, not as much anymore lol The gazette is like, your mainstream vk lol is that a good term to describe them? XD I basically just use them a lot as characters for my fanfics now (especially Reita and Kai cuz otp yaaasss <3) and so far just more on SCREW/KHRYST+ fics since I love Jin and Byou XD hopefully I'll like more bandomen so I can add more characters to my fanfics lol or at least like man, have new otp's to write about wtf who even read byojin fics lol

peak anxiety is you avoiding to open an important email for days in fear of what's inside thinking you're gonna freak out from the amount of work you're given only to realize almost a week later that's it's barely anything and you can be done with it all in less than an hour. if only my mind didn't jump straight to the worst possible outcome every single time smh

ao3 is the place i would know , i must confess i write the gay as well edit: tbh i also want to confess that i don't give two shits about today's vkei anymore. the current sound trends just don't appeal to me because i'm forever stuck in the 2000s shitkei i never actually got to experience when it happened lol. PLUS when my favourite bands (meji & lycaon) went normie i just. couldn't take it anymore lmao -- so i've found myself, embarrassingly enough, deep in the gazette fandom

    VK/J-rock confessions

    - When I first moved to Japan, I missed a live because I mixed up 町田 (Machida) where the live was with 田町 (Tamachi). I wasn't gonna make the live in time so I said fuck it, but then I felt kinda bad because I had reserved tix with the band. (Back when you could still reserve tickets with the band off their website.) - I can't stand much of Dir en grey's music after Macabre. I couldn't care less that they dropped the visual look, just so much of their stuff after sounds like noise. I also know there are a lot of Japanese VK fans that feel the same way, though for years some of them were in denial and kept attending shows bc they had the hots for the members. - I think VK started to die with the osare kei craze and I can't stand most current "popular" VK bands. It's not that I think new VK has more shit than old VK, just that shit bands can sell better than they could before now that SNS/cheki/multiple CD types with different bonuses/etc. are more common. There's still good music coming out, it's just a lot harder to find. Before the good music was more “mainstream”. - One of the best lives I ever went to was Gargoyle playing some songs here and there in between random MCing, as they sat on stage chugging cans of beer with the audience. I'd never been to a Gargoyle show before and I don't even like beer, but honestly I wish this was a thing all bands did.

Before I get into it, random disclaimer: I have nothing against women, International Women's Day, or dedicating the entire month of March to women. Go women! Good vibes for females all around. I feel really bad for that Ambrose dude, and for all guys that find themselves in a similar emotional predicament. A lot of the assumptions and caricatures we make about men like these are rooted in real insecurities. His hostile reaction to this picture really shows it off. The way I'm looking at it, he's not mad that women are getting actively praised and recognized as much as men aren't being actively praised and recognized. And the key word there is actively, which is why I put it in bold it three times. What's happening globally doesn't always trickle down to the individual experience and this is a great example of that. While men are more privileged than women in many aspects of life, it is possible that this particular man isn't. He doesn't have the tools, the vocabulary, or the emotional maturity to reconcile what the world thinks he is versus what he really is, or how to express that to other people. All he sees is women being lifted up for being women, and wondering why he doesn't get the same treatment for being a man. Of course the reality is more complicated than that, but even a satellite sees at only one angle. People responded to the post below him reminding him that men have their own day too, but does that really matter? That day doesn't get as much traction as International Women's Day and I can tell you that people weren't thanking me for being me on that day just because I'm a guy. I can tell you that it's never been the case for my entire life. I think this really speaks to a lack of active and direct support for men in our society. I would bet 50 quid that this guy hasn't received a genuine hug or a compliment from anyone in years and it shows. He might be doing it to himself - he probably is doing it to himself in some ways - but what really matters on a surface level is what is and isn't coming together. That's why I said actively was so important earlier; I feel like this society has a lot of implicit support for men but only if you meet certain criteria, and that's never really explained to anyone. This guy is lost and confused and there aren't a lot of socially acceptable avenues for him to describe his pain. I was there once too and that's how I recognize it. Active and implicit support is necessary for healthy human development. As a man I feel like I have a lot more opportunities in life, but I also feel like I'm left to figure more things out by myself. I bet his life experiences causes him to double down on his beliefs because according to him, this life is all he knows. I also bet this Twitter exchange gone viral caused a triple down too. This attitude is what happens when you leave people to figure life out on their own and they come to answers the rest of us don't agree with. I was able to pull myself out of that quagmire, but I couldn't really describe to you how it was done. Lies. I can and it's called LSD, but I don't recommend it to anyone lightly. This is something I've been thinking about all month, and not out of a place of hate. Men aren't being petty because women are getting attention. Men are being petty because they are lost. I don't know what it feels like to be praised for being a man, but I do know what it feels like to be praised for being black, and that puts me in a really awkward middle ground where I'm in both groups simultaneously and I see both sides of it, and I understand how both sides are right. From talks with several male friends of mine, ranging from chads to dads, it's not that uncommon of a feeling. All these guys having so many insecurities in common is a bigger issue. I hope that this November, someone can start a viral campaign for actively supporting healthy expressions of masculinity, to give a lot of guys like this a chance to work out their inner discord in a healthy and constructive manner.

I can't stop noticing my main arm veins because I had to have my second blood test on Tuesday and she managed to get the needle right in the base of it (which isn't bad, don't worry... in fact, that's probably good). I know she did, because a) this one hurt a bit more than the first one, b) the bruise is big and blue as opposed to the first, which was small and yellow, and c) I can actually see where the bruise and the vein join up. It's really kinda creepy.

Seeing Y'all complaining so much takes me back to MUCC's Ryuusei/Gokusai days. People were all screaming MUCC IS DEEEAD, then they released LIBRA and people were YESSS MUCC IS ALIVE! 'Karma' killed MUCC again, just to be revived again few releases later... I don't know where all the doomsayers were when they released songs like I'm pretty excited about call of rescue, not so much about the other one. I still expect great things about them

People complaining about the cover art seem to forget that like a good 70% of Grieva's cover art was fugly as well (that Grieva vs Grieva single says hi) Gonna keep an eye on this, hopefully it'll be good. What's with this new meme of bands calling <10 track releases albums though?
