This has become a major life goal for me! I could imagine nothing more beautiful, noble, and rewarding than marrying, starting, maintaining, and nourishing a family. Kids are wonderful and they're a blessing to be sure - you can learn a lot from them. I look forward to both the challenge and the privilege of hoisting that level of responsibility onto my shoulders, and I'm excited to see the man that I'll grow to be through it.

Hi guys~ Im Rica and I have been a guest on this forum for a few years, and finally decided to join the family and introduce myself. I am 19 and I'm from Hong Kong(yup, technically part of China but also not really!!). This forum is so useful and informational. I started liking Visual Kei at about 2015, youtube recommended me Kiryu's Amaterasu MV out of nowhere. And I have been in the circle since. I'm not a really active bangya, since I couldnt travel for lives; I got my friends to bought a few CD for me from Japan when they go travelling. Personally, I dont know anyone who know visual kei around me, since it is a very very niche thing in HK. I can only tell my sister and to few of my close friends. So it's great that I know there is a forum like this where I can talk about and read about things that I love. I am actually going to travel to Tokyo next week and I am super excited about it, too bad non of my favs have any lives during my stay :(. (sorry if i am too long-winded, im a bit excited). Few of my favorite bands are(in no specific order): Kiryu they got me into this whole thing, DIV heart broken when they disbanded but was predicted since their last single was uneventful to say the least, MejiBray still hasnt got excited about the 8psb thing, Clowd sad that they disbanded as well, Royz only for their music occasionally and for the kami- Subaru, Arlequin love their music and getting their songs on spotify is really appreciated, The Raid got into them recently because of kabukicho rainy, love their music and the vocalist's voice Unite. like their song style occasionally, came across them because they are in the same company as DIV Babykingdom their songs are so catchy and shogo is so cute~ (not sure if it is a guilty pleasure here)... 零[hz] here for their personalities, mainly cuz they are in BPR Kizu love love love their music I also listen to other bands based on the songs, I'm mostly into Vkei for the music to be honest. Other than vkei, also have an unexplainable love for Motely Crue, Queen, and any other songs occasionally popular to millennials these days. I am so happy to be here~ and nice to meet you guys~ guess im talking too much for an introduction post looking forward to be educated about band dramas and news, since i dont really know japanese and am very unfamiliar with fandoms.

I keep seeing VK stores getting the axe, magazines ceasing publication and very few bands joining spotify, putting their songs up on YouTube and stuff like that. Looks like streaming services will be the final nail in the coffin for VK as whole. Tragic, but it serves them right for always being so greedy and narrow minded in terms of business and reaching out to the fans, mostly foreigners.

I think the point is that they shouldn't have to keep these things secret if they don't want to. Of course, if they do want to, then they should have the right to privacy, but I think they should have the choice of announcing their relationship statuses if they so desire. It's sad that they have to keep this to themselves when they'd rather not. Anyways, congrats to him~! I hope he and his wife have a wonderful marriage

i'm excited for the new PV track (maybe cuz it sounds like aharewata...shhhhh). I feel like the whole issei vs retsu drama is good news for br00tal kei fans because their respective bands seem to be getting better as they continue to 'compete' for abare kei supremacy lolol. The gya need a new band to follow after nokubura imploded so...good timing.

Yeah, same. I honestly prefer some J-Pop over K-Pop and it aint bad either. I got into artists such as LiSA (you may know her if you watch Fate/Zero or SAO) and Aimer. I like female artists since they have such beautiful voices.

My only exposure to kpop is through the mass of fans posting everywhere...and one band 'Block B' because it came on my pandora one time. It was pretty good for working out but not much else for me...and I have no interest in the vanity side of the scene (all the plastic surgery etc) Most of the members all have the exact same style so it's not interesting like wild vkei costumes (of course people copy in vkei but it's usually at least in a mockable way lol) As with most things with batshit mad fans I just avoid it, and feel bad for normal people just trying to listen to music. Also I guess the most important factor for me is I've just never been into pop...except for Britney Spears a long time ago lmao

I don't like it either, but no hate on k-pop itself or people who enjoy it. I'm much more into rock than I am pop and I also can't vibe with the korean language either. Japanese just flows better and sounds nicer to me. I have also heard things about how k-pop groups are treated and I definitely don't like that. A friend showed me a compilation of groups passing out on stage because I guess management is strict with what the members are allowed to eat? That's literally terrible.

Had to add something to my intro, that is I am super disappointed with BPR even though they are a sorta big name in visual kei and could really give budget to their bands production, I feel like they are pushing them a bit too hard. I understand why some bands like babykingdom would join them for the budget and resources. But it is sad that they creativity would be forced under a schedule. Same with Kiryu, their recent releases are not too bad, but I'm still putting their older songs on repeat rather than the new ones.

He's composition skill is not so ' great ' . But to be honest his voice is better than 80 % of the vk scene

I'm on the fence about having children. If I'm going to, I want to make sure I'm in a financially viable spot where I can afford to provide them with a decent life without having to work 90 hours a week or eat only Easy Mac for 18 years. I'm also worried they won't like me, they'll grow up to be entitled, or the world will change enough that it'll be more difficult for them to be children of gay parents. My boyfriend wants kids in the worst way. He's one of the gays that tries a lot to be acceptable by his family, which often means living like "a normal couple, but there's just two dudes!!!" Sometimes it rubs me the wrong way, but other times I feel like The Gays™ try way too hard to be counter culture and end up lonely anyway ( @ all of the exhibitionist poly relationships on tumblr). So, it's a moral balancing act for me.
