It happens maybe once ever 7 months or so, sometimes a little more frequently. Some historical examples I can think of, other than the ones listed here, are: -NightengeiL: iirc they lost contact with one of their guitarists and just continued as a 4-piece band -S: Their first vocalist just stopped showing up to gigs, so they played a 4-piece band and had other members do vocals until they found someone else -2 of the Piass' 4 vocalists just stopped showing up at some point lol

Any fans of Esprit D'Air here? Apparently, they reformed last year, but that's when I found out about them. I'm going to their London show tomorrow at O2 Academy ! Here's their latest song If you haven't heard them before, you should check them out!

He dragged the band in general, which includes Yu-ki, and when Yu-ki talked about disbanding, he talked about putting everything into the band or something. I guess I'm putting two and two together here, but if I felt like I passionately put myself in work and then someone dragged me (even collectively with my other band mates) for being lazy or not serious enough, I'd be like "Man fuck that guy"

Some of the tweets/blogs they wrote around the time of disbanding weren't obviously directed towards each other, but Rino kind of dragged the rest of the band for being lazy and not seriously enough and having to do everything himself and was kind of good riddance about it, but based on Yu-ki's tweets around the time they were disbanding, he did take the band seriously and didn't want to disband. There wasn't all out drama, but just the general vibe that they didn't agree about things that were going on.

I don't know why I thought I'd be excited about this since I like Malisend but I really don't like Mediena and I knew Yu-ki wouldn't do another band with Rino, so I knew it was either gonna be Yu-ki's vocals with Mediena-ish music or Ryo's vocals with Malisend-ish music. Either of those is a compromise to me tbh.

Oh no another tomozo band that didn't release more than a few singles oh no I had a feeling they were either going to split soon or that Maijyu would leave and focus more on Devil Kitty. ((Moi dix mois album where????))

@itsukoii no problem I go to a lot of metalcore now which as you can imagine means i end up seeing a lot of deathcore too HOTOKE was pretty great live and tbh so is BDP. I think the recording lost a lot of the quality for BDP because the composition is actually quite good--the vocals arent my thing, though, as i mentioned before. They're young and have been around for like two? months so they just need time You might want to check out suggestions & like a corpse too if you havent. I think like a corpse calls themselves deathcore. suggestions is actually downtempo deathcore and as they like to say "sadcore" I posted a different video of suggestions before so here's a different one the vocalist of suggestions is very committed to creating the atmosphere ( @doombox I found a video of it) like a corpse has a very similar stage presence

I don't get what's wong about the dude's voice? It sounds perfectly fine. Plus it's VK, the relatively trashy vocals are part of what makes it interesting. Never heard Mediena or MALISEND, but the samples sound rather nice. I'll check them out.

BT's Hoshino might count as one if anything - I was going to put Laruku's Ken in his stead but then I realized that Ken looks more hyuk hyuk-ish compared to his days as a Blitz Kids' cosplayer back in '95-'96. Hoshino on the other hand became classier after being all coy with his fashion taste and stuff back in early 90s to mid 90s: He aged rather quickly but at the same time, he became even classier and less "d'awww""-ish which adds more to his mature charm. I know that folks are all about Atsushi but I just happen to appreciate something more than just Japanese Snapes, yikes. But yeah, a real damn shame that this concept of "maturity" in VK goes down to men in their 40s being all fancy-shmancy with their andrometro looks that make them look more languished if anything. Buff, bulk, maybe beards but otherwise actually manrii looks should be in now, seriously.

I don't really know what to say except of how sad this is I really thought they have great potential as a band TOGETHER apparently that was not the case That proves how important communication is Rino seems very frustated in what he writes which is ofc understandable (assuming everything went like how he described it idk what was really going on behind the scenes) I hope he'll have more success in the future, all of them :/

This is Maiku and I have no heart. And I foresaw this. Mostly the single for the Album OMELAS. If you know anything about Ursula K. LeGuin, she wrote a short story entitled The Ones Who Walk Away from Omelas. It's a story about people who choose to leave paradise. Now, in the song OMELAS by THE KIDDIE the chorus goes "So this is my policy for the world I leave," This, the song title, and the album title led me to suspect this was the last hurrah. THE KIDDIE did something different with DYSTOPIA and it definitely shows a side of them that is new. Something glimpsed in Yusa's joining of The Legendary Six-Nine. They are moving on to things different from THE KIDDIE and I wont be surprised to see new bands sprout from this disband. Especially with how skilled most of the members are. I'm excited to see what will happen. 8D

If Maiku was still around he'd be heartbroken by this news.
