As people have already said, it's a problem with DHL, not with amazon.jp. If you can you should avoid DHL and pick another shipping service, because they are known to do major fuckups.

I had several problems with their service, no matter where the parcel came from. One time I got an expensive shipment from tunisia that they simple hold in their customs for two months, asking us to provide bills of the product we didn't have because it was some self made baking goods that my relatives sent as a gift to me. But the assholes over dhl wanted to get some precious money so they were adamant about getting the papers. We couldn't provide them, so they sent the parcel back to my relatives and they had to pay the return costs!

They also didn't deliver some parcels and claimed either that I wasn't at home (even though I was) or that the adress on the parcel was wrong (even though it was written on it correctly and in big letters!). The truth is that the people at DHL only care for profit and are lazy af.

call dhl and escalate this shit until they hook you up w. a local branch manager who will give you a form that you can fill to pick up stuff at your local office instead of waiting for courier who typically only drives once a day in the mornings; if you're lucky and/or persistent they'll refund shipping costs too but i won't be counting on that

if you want a cool story i once had to wait for about 10 biz days for a shipment from cali to vancouver because some logistic genius routed it through montreal and it got stuck in the customs which didn't happen b4/after lol, I was so PISSED

@Seimeisen lol yeah that was what I was suggested to do the next time I had a DHL shipment; i should probably do that for USPS tho, i get slips up the ass x) fortunately i hardly even use dhl except for amazon shipments when it's the only method, so i guess i have to cut that off

Just curious: do you want to download more like compressed album stuff (mp3 & Co) or also full DVD's and uncompressed stuff (FLAC, DVD-Images)... For smaller stuff there are other web-based options also, without VPN involved. But I don't know your usual download/upload-behaviour, so...

I see... Both the VPN and the seedbox route will work if your Provider is really the one to blame (sounds like it, but it's not guaranteed). If it still sounds to complicated: A quick way I use to completely 'bypass' a BT-Client to download Torrents is https://filestream.me -> login just via Email lets you download Torrents up to 300MB for free (good for most compressed albums), if you login via facebook it works for files up to 1 Gigabyte (good for most FLAC releases). You just drag the Torrent-File you downloaded from JPS to their site, then it gets processed - usually in a few minutes - and then you can download the files(s)/folder as ZIP-File via normal HTTP-download without any restrictions your Provider might add to the Bittorrent-Protocol otherwise, it's a normal Browser-Download this way, your Provider will not 'see' it. It's basically a small free leechbox, the 'lite version' of a seedbox - the downside; size-limit and of corse NO upload/seeding after the download finishes, which is a bit against the whole concept of Bittorrent. To stay in a positive Ratio you would have to ask other users for Bonus Points (I have some spare)! Because of this a real seedbox would still be the best option because of the seeding part, for the second best try if a VPN connection helps, my hint is only a third/alternative option if nothing helps. hth

Flights to Tokyo from east coast USA (using myself as an example) costed about $1800 for coach last year. Looking at google flights now, it's around 1100 ~ 1400.  However, if I'm going to be on a plane for that long, I'm getting bougie seats lmao. That usually means I'd also have to fly to either Seattle, LA, or San Francisco (all of which are about 5~6.5 hours), have a layover, and then fly direct to Tokyo.  

I've seen other flights that take you to Cali, then have another layover in Hawaii, then go to Japan. Others have you stopping in Hong Kong of Seoul first, then to Japan.

I know it is possible to fly directly from NY to Tokyo, but do you really want to be stuck on a plane for 18 hours????

So seems like the prices are about the same. It takes longer to fly from Sweden to Tokyo though, and there's no direct flights either. However you can get by in Tokyo cheap. I lived there for 2 years so for me I wouldn't go back for any tourist-y stuff. Just to live "the everyday life" (as a bangya). You could easily get by for 500-600$ for 1 months rent and food if I decide to live cheap af.  But if you're there for the first time you're bound to spend more, obviously.

Come to think of it, before, I had purchased CDs that came with flyers (from Like an Edison for example) yet I only had to pay like, $20+ for shipping via air mail, and now all of a sudden the cost of air mail has jumped to fucking $30-$40, so I have to go for EMS shipping instead?? It's ridiculous and I don't understand it...

It happens, I usually don't buy cds and similar because of the higher taxs to send it to me, which can be from 40 to 60% of the cds price without the full or partial tracking, this ends begin factor number to don't get them. Example, last year I was planning to get BORN's last album with limited edition footage from their band best moments and it suddenly said the final cost would be like +$70. For me is really expensive, so I didn't got it.

I've got a lot of bad words (around the web), and yet often people who know Japanese still don't even think to help out.  Because you simple have to learn the language your own!

I think if someone knows someone did translate it wrong or even misunderstood it, that someone who understood it correctly simply could write down a translation. I mean, translating doesn't cost that much time if you understand a language good enough isn't?! 

we cannot force one to translate. This was a good example that we all should be more cautious about the news and translations we are spreading. I can understand that with heavy news like this, people might get upset. Of course not justifying being rude towards you.

I obviously don't think she deserves hate, death threats etc (this is just a reality show after all), but no edit can make her come across as aggressive and excessively controlling as she does everytime she's on screen. Her entire attitude is off-putting and that's something she needs to work on before coming back to TV aiming to receive a redemption arc for a show that craves drama. She's got my sympathy for the amount of abuse she seems to be receiving everywhere, but that doesn't change the fact that she's an asshole.

I thought we were just doing favs, lmao. Didn't see the previous comments, so I'll seriously contribute in response (but not to anyone here directly, just my thoughts). No one deserves death threats in such a way, but the way that she came across at first as soon as she appeared on All Stars of saying how she wishes to put the so called attitude people thought she had under the rug but then continues to be spiteful and malicious isn't doing her any favors. She can't even hide this fact, but I'm also thoughtful of the obvious twisting of editing/producing in the show, in any such entertainment show. Even the drama I'm sure is egged on anyway, but hell, don't base off an assumption of knowing someone without really knowing them in the flesh is what I'll say. I'm not a fan of Phi Phi, but I'm also not a hater, because who can really say what's been exaggerated or is actually natural?
