NEVERLAND new album "EMOTION'S" release
Raburr7 and 3 others reacted to Lostlala for a post in a topic
Unfortunately, Shinpei hasn’t officially joined the boys. But he did say that he genuinely loves the band and that he does think of himself as a member. I know that NEVERLAND feel the same way. That’s why they have started coordinating outfits and including him in promo. He will continue to support them for the foreseeable future. -

They were really popular end 80ties early 90ties. disbanded came back, went on break again and now they are back again. Their last gigs were good visited, many people came to watch them, I believe the gigs were sold out or almost sold out. I keep the name secret until I received the questions back, but hopefully we can look forward to it (^_^)v Hopefully this interview will also help to interview more visual kei bands

1 pointImagine hating and taking jabs for them to only put on a show that so great people who don't even know them were jamming. They are so above the basic dimensions the haters. Definitely the greatest music of all time (2008 - present). And they proved it! When will the other bands and artist?

1 pointWell there are some more people who don't really listen to visual kei bands but still are visual kei musicians. Nothing wrong with that. I never saw that as an issue, if members really can go along with each other, it can be a truly strong point.

Bunny-Usagii reacted to platy for a post in a topic
Thanks for the report, it was fun reading it Glad to hear xaa-xaa are still crazy live. I wonder when mother will reveal their proper looks. Are they waiting to gather more fans so they can buy higher quality outfits? When you say fanservice, what do you mean? Members winking at each other or something? -

Yeah. That's due to the Budokan being used for Olympics. Also, we kinda received second Unraveling (seven re-recordings from 2016 till these days), nostalgia tour, best album, long single. It was the wild ride. -

1 pointMy impression is that it's a lot better than the last single. Crimson Family might be the most beautiful solo song of his I heard so far.

1 pointTime to go on Spotify and give the queen some cents in AD revenue before I buy the single. EDIT: first impression is 👍 His engRish is as better as it gonna get. 💕The trick is NOT being english mothertongue, so you usually barely diifferentiate it from japanese and when it happens it's a cute jibberish.

1 point1. Nightmare 2. Shounenki (I kinda like AmaBo but SHOUNENKI ......) (abyss, and after that everything is in no particular order probably just whatever I thought of as something I listen to semi/regularly) 3. Gravity 4. Neverland 5. Moran 6. ACME(/DIV) 7. Gigamous 8. HOLYCLOCK 9. Kiryu 10. Leetspeak Monsters Honorable mention to kannivalism/baroque, ViViD and SCREW all of which I have never heard enough since back in the old days but what I have I either like or didn't actively dislike and should listen to more often. If I did, they'd probably replace the last 3 places. Also honorable mention to oldies Miyavi and Abingdon Boys School which I have seen mentioned itt and were my jams in my teenage years along with Ancafe or A9 etc. Actually, honorable mention to every non-vk jrock band standing in that abyss lol

Popularity of 2012~current visual kei bands
Lostlala reacted to colorful人生 for a post in a topic
I tend to pick & choose from a band's discog when it comes to what I want musically, and since I genre hop constantly, I don't really find myself as someone who deeply "cares" about most bands (in the holistic sense.) I find that especially so with visual kei and the frequency of disbandments. Now h- ... yooo- at least give me 2011 so I can include ユナイト, lmao. I guess it's just Neverland then. I listen to every other vk band piecemeal ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. -

Personal thing that annoys me, not all bands do this but, fucking A/B/C/D types oh my fucking god. Please just release everything on a "master cd" too because only obsessed bangyas or rich fans (aka not me and most of my VK friends) buy all cd types. I already think I'm stupid for having bought two types of one cd a little while ago because I just wanted to see the making-of, which was a little dissapointing ngl. Besides I too think that the whole secretive part to VK is kinda stupid, there's nothing wrong about age, sexuality nor relationships. Seriously, in the west celebrities who are in a relationship get labelled as "goals" by their fans, but eastern celebrities like VK-artists and idols too get sooooo much hate for it??? I still really hate the Kiryu bangyas for having sent all those emails to Takemasa last year telling him to kill himself after they found out he was married. Also the YouTuber thing that's kinda happening to some bands, it's kinda fun, but only for the Japanese fans. I can barely follow any video because I just don't understand. Some video's can be funny if the video is obvious in what's happening like changing instruments or smth, but when they're just talking or eating, it's just... "Okay so do I just listen or what am I supposed to do?". I haven't seen many video's that actually have English subtitles, only a few, and a few on blogs with fan-made translations. Even then it's still kinda boring if you keep having to look away from the video to read the text on the blog. -

1 pointEver listen to a song and think to yourself that you've heard that melody somewhere before, but you can never place it? Alternatively, have you ever gotten into or read an argument with someone who says "x band copied y melody from z band"? I'm sure all of us have been there at one point and this is a topic that personally interests me. I like knowing where my artists source their inspiration from, and where their inspirations got their inspiration from, etc., because I believe that no idea is original but the interpretation can be. The subjectivity in how different artists hear and play back certain melodies is what makes music beautiful! ...and then there are times when bands just steal melodies and put no effort into it. Today we take a look at six songs that can go either way. I provide examples, where I think their origins stem from, and my final judgement. Sometimes it's hero worship. Sometimes it's laziness. Sometimes I just don't know. A lot of this was sourced from the "Inspirations..." thread I started a few years ago, but I also did a bit of legwork the last few months to cobble together my own examples. If you see a track here you pointed out somewhere before, odds are you helped me make this list! Remember, these are only my opinions and based off what I can hear between two songs. I am not classically trained in music theory and I'm going purely by ear. You won't see me drop music theory knowledge anywhere in this post. "Diabolic edict" by Ha;qch stems from "Black Valor" by The Black Dahlia Murder "When The Last Grave Has Emptied" by The Black Dahlia Murder "Elder Misanthropy" by The Black Dahlia Murder Homage or Copy: Frankenstein lives! "セラフ。" by KILLANETH stems from "DECADANCE - Counting Goats ... if I can't be yours -" by MEJIBRAY "go ahead" by girugämesh Homage or Copy: c-c-c-COPY...but every band has to start somewhere "The Summer Funeral" by SIGH stems from "Opening Theme ~ Bombing Mission" by Nobuo Uematsu Homage or Copy: Definitely a nod towards the veteran composer himself. "道化ノ華" by アルルカン (ARLEQUIN) stems from "zombie" by Versailles Homage or Copy: Smells like a copy to me but can go either way "Black Butterfly" by A stems from "Enter the Sandman" by Metallica Homage or Copy: Sounds like a copy to me. "Amentia" by E'm~grief~ stems from "Progenies of the Great Apocalypse" by Dimmu Borgir "The Promise of Fever" by Cradle of Filth "Shat Out of Hell" by Cradle of Filth "Honey and Sulphur" by Cradle of Filth Homage or Copy: A shameless mix of three black metal riffs
