I don't think the contents of the photos/LINE messages are all that relevant, though. Private information is private information. I wouldn't want people sharing my photos or the conversations I have with my friends on LINE to the world and I'm a nobody. Privacy is an even bigger issue for people in the entertainment industry. Even if no one on MH cares about LONDBOY, the band has a decent enough following in Japan so I could understand Rio not wanting people to spread his private life around. Especially since having a significant other often very negatively affects the career of an entertainer/musician in Japan. I mean a few years ago there was that AKB girl who shaved her head to apologize to her fans for a having a boyfriend.

Until he is caught lying you have to give him the benefit of the doubt. If he is caught lying, either the police or the girl in question will dispute his version of the events with undeniable facts very shortly. I still see no proof that he intended any harm to this girl with his penis, and instead thought he could leverage his position as a band member to get easy pussy. It's creepy as fuck, shady, and very suspect, and it probably happens a lot more than we care to admit, but it doesn't automatically make him guilty. It just makes him stupid, horny, and desperate. And none of what he did absolved the girl of any blame either - I just have even less details on her so I can't say anything yet. None of us can, so there's no point getting emotionally invested in this. The real detail I want to know is what they were questioning RIO about for him to willingly divulge information about this girl and that this kind of slip up could even occur. There is a lot more to this story than the media is willing to let on.

Kamijo doesn't look like a washed up 80s rocker so I don't get why people are claiming Zin is trying to be him. He doesn't even look aristocratic this time. If he did, then you could say he's a budget Kamijo because right now I'm not seeing the similarities. And I'm not feeling this look. It's like they all belong in different bands.

Now this looks like some kind of damage control, and probably the best decision he could've made imho. If the blogs are true, then he probably wasn't aware that the girl was underage (fake ids or not), and when he saw the shit was about to hit the fan, he went for spilling the beans upfront. Maybe there were dick pics or words that sounded like he was enticing minors and such. Going to the police not only ensures he is not avoiding responsibility, but shows he is willing to make himself available for questioning and follow up. it goes a long way on making the authorities trusting your story

Yes, but go deeper. What were the contents of these photos and LINE messages which were enough for him to get the police involved? There wouldn't be a threat involved unless there were some gravity to these pictures.

Ten years ago today, Spike760 and myself decided that we wanted to start a Japanese Rock forum. After a while of debating, we eventually settled on Tainted World (after the D’espairsRay song of the same name). Frankly, neither one of expected it to last all that long; this would hardly be the first forum that we had run together that didn’t go anywhere. But what started as a fun little project somehow blossomed into an amazing community. The fact that this site still exists after all this time has little to say about Spike and my’s original plan and everything to say about the members here. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for helping build this site into what it is today. While I was one of the key founders of this site, Monochrome Heaven is so much bigger than just me. That became clear to me when we went under the transition from Tainted World to our current name back in 2011. While to really understand why this is so important requires more context, I don’t want to go into a full on history lesson. But since that point, so many members have stepped up and dedicated themselves to this site, putting in the time and effort (and money) into making Monochrome Heaven as great as it possibly can be. To every member that has joined and felt like they were apart of a community over this silly niche interest we all have, I raise a glass to you. You all are what have made this place special. And to every staff member, current and past, no words can express my thanks to you - you are people that I have come to admire and consider good friends. To me, where there is smoke there is fire. Band members having intimate pictures leaked by their fans is nothing new (see Danchou from NoGoD) and it hasn't ruined a career before - but it's interesting to me that RIO felt so pressured that he had to get the police involved. And that's before the whole pedophilia angle came into it. That indicates that the contents of these messages/photos may have some gravity to them and are key to understanding this situation. Their existence is also complicating, since if one or more parties are naked in it he could be convicted of a crime. Discussing these elements of the case until we get more facts is a more fruitful use of our internet time than blindly branding one or more parties as a slut or rapist, which topics like these are always in danger of turning into. Whatever information I wish to know is going to come out in an inevitable court case, so my feathers aren't too ruffled about invading his privacy.

^ There were 2 blog posts, one by Rio and one by the band's official account. The contents of both are similar (half of Rio's post was an extended apology) - except in Rio's post he mentioned the girl was circulating photos of them, and in the other one it mentioned she was disclosing the contents of their LINE conversations and letters. As for the whole fake ID thing, I'm not sure if that's merely "Rio's version" of the story since (i) you'd think the official account would have verified it from a more reliable source than someone who's an alleged suspect in the case to avoid further embarrassment; and (ii) if there had been substantial discrepancies and/or reasonable doubt in Rio's account (it's a quite a bold claim after all) I doubt he would have been released so quickly.

Given the title, I'm actually a bit worried about the vocals lol. Please don't try some weird falsettos or something Kamijo.

@Donttalkbackin some way or another he didn't fit the stipulations for a "sincere romantic relationship", which as you kindly informed us up the thread, is usually determined by parental consent. if parental consent was involved he wouldn't have been arrested. what is your point with all this? the dude provided information to the police and the police found that it was sufficient enough to arrest him. if your problem is with the law itself then that's fine, but it doesn't change the reality of what happened and the fact that as it stands, what he did is considered a crime, and one he very stupidly incriminated himself of in an unrelated discussion with law enforcement.

i'm enjoying playing bass, even if i'm not good. this is a major thing for me, being a perfectionist who gives up on most hobbies because i'm not good at them first try. i haven't enjoyed a hobby/had any productive interests in at least half a year. i'm just too damn hard on myself. but with bass, i'm just letting go and having a great time. great decision on my part for wanting to play this instrument. plus, i'll be getting lessons sometime this week, so who knows? maybe one day i'll actually be good at this instrument and enjoy it even more.

Best thing about going to concerts or clubs/bars in Trondheim is the bus home at 3am. 9 out of 10 times it's just brilliant. Most times I'm actually laughing for the entire ride (60-90 minutes, depends a bit). Unlike in Oslo where there's always some shit going on on the bus or among the people waiting, here there's only joy. Overly drunk people who do stupid shit and make fools of themself, some nice people and just good atmoshere all the way, all over the place. Even the hour and half wait for the bus was amazing. One drunk, pessimistic dad of three, one overly drunk mom of three and me. And some people who come and go of course. Hilarious!
