I think it's the pose where you're on your knees in front of another guy. Very popular in the VK bandoman circles.

Just like the title says this is an attempt to bring back the m-h jrock awards for the year 2017 which last took place way back in 2012 and apparently ended do to lack of participation. Awards were given for best album, single, new band, etc. And all of this was decided by user votes. So I asked about reviving this and here's what @Zeussaid, Judging by all of the yearly best album/single reviews I would hope there's still some interest in something like this. So if you want to see the "Monochrome heaven J-Rock Awards 2017" then help me get this topic 50 likes and/or 50 comments by the end of the month.

Bands don't owe the fans anything, especially considering it's most often not feasible to do this full-time. I'll be happy with whatever they're willing to do.

Okay so I'm going to try and re-cap what has happened lately. As you probably now, this is the schedule they've had up until now: 黒百合と影“さん”執念記念単独 「解体ツアー。」 2017年 11月10日(金)静岡Sunash 11月11日(土)名古屋MUSIC FARM 11月12日(日)大阪新神楽 ファイナル「“し”の告白。」 11月23日(木)池袋BlackHole Besides this they also have their bounenkai, shinnenkai, and a total of two event gigs (ambush attack with TBS and Visual Parade). Contrary to what Aimi is saying above, this is not a lot of gigs, as a matter of fact it is a surprisingly low amount for a two month span. Their Japanese fans are pissed off at them as of lately because: 1. The name of their latest tour (kaitai tour) kinda implies that they would announce a disbandment (the tour final is named Acknowledgment of Death)* 2. Despite this, the only thing that was announced during this gig was: - K switched name to Yohan - Kuro starting to use his old guitar again, the one he used in: 3. Rosshi was announced to be added to their official line-up several months ago at an instore event, yet that has not happened officially. To summarize it, they are mad at them because they are trolling their fans and making them attend shows where they imply that they are going to announce serious information about the band, yet does not do so. Also, regarding Kuro's instagram - he posted two pictures there after their tour final. One that said that he loves his bandmembers, their staff, making music etc, but he's been doing this for ten years and it is getting very tiresome. He later deleted it and posted a picture of sleeping meds (prescribed ones) and wrote that he's drinking them with alcohol (after a fan apparently advised him to do so instead of spurring bullshit). Some hours later his instagram was gone. * keep in mind, this is not the first time they're doing something like this. Remember their " " tour, where they said the secret meaning would be announced at the tour final? Nothing was announced there either. My personal opinion: I feel bad for their fans (myself included, how do they only release two songs in a year?), and I also feel that they probably have problems within the band that needs to be solved. Perhaps the best solution would be for Mei to start a band without Kuro and K, but I don't think that'll happen. Either way I'll support them until the very end.

I actually understand what you mean and it makes sense to me that it feels a bit undercooked, it sorta feels like a lighter VULGAR in a way. I don't mind it tbh, but there's probably some nostalgia there as it was their first album I followed from the first singles until it came out. Also Beautiful Dirt is garbage, so I don't blame you lol

Anyone remember The FLARE? I rediscovered their album this last week and although it wasn't anything mindblowingly great and original, it was still so good and such an easy listen. It's aged pretty well too considering it came out over a decade ago. I with it had lasted longer and the vocalist (YUNA? idk) stayed around. ): Favorite song has got to be STAR LIGHT:

These pictures are clearly marketed towards heterosexual men if you can tell. I was just looking through a few photos and you notice there is a very famous position that some rockers do. Not all but I think almost every rocker/idol has a photo like this. Cause typically in things that are targeted for gay males you will just see the male acting normal or cool. I think most gay men like guys who are regular looking, but i'm not saying feminine guys aren't targeted toward them to be an idol for them to crush over. But these pictures are totally different, there's a huge difference. Ok so in these photos you'll see the guys on the floor or in that crawling like a cat on the ground position. Usually they'll make a very cute or confused ageyo face. The crawling like a cat thing is something you don't see many males do. I thought about american stars, korean, chinese etc. In the photos the guys never do that, usually they try to look cool or just stare at the camera with a haughty face. The crawling cat thing is defintley something I've seen in a lot of female idol photos. The getting on the knees thing is a very asian photo thing and the position looks very submissive. I feel like that is something heterosexual males like unless female jrock fans like that. Maybe it's a cultural thing. But I feel like these pictures are for the dads who go to the concernt with the teen daughters. These guys are safe for them. What do you think? Sorry if the photos look weird I'm really bad at arranging them

Also perhaps because THE FINAL is on it. Probably one of their most popular songs alongside OBSCURE. I voted for Kisou. It was between that and UROBOROS remastered. Really tough decision as I like almost everything they've put out aside from MISSA (and even that's good). Very surprised that DUM SPIRO SPERO is the top-rated album; that would be bottom of the pack for me. DEG albums for me are like different kinds of chocolate. Sometimes 100% cocoa is just a little too much.

I mean... For whatever reason a portion of bangyas seem to have a fetish for 〜☆ MOE KYUN☆~ men, which includes looking feminine, doing cat poses, little girl poses, broken leg poses or anything that might trigger their inner KYA ♡ I suppose it might end up being appealing for anyone that is attracted to a strong MOE essence ー☆! ! Tbh it's all just a byproduct of Japan's satanic idol culture package.

For me, Kisou tries to be more aggressive/nu-metal, but it didn't quite make it there. So it's like in a weird middle ground, and I find the compositions there to be a lot simpler than the previous two albums. Still, it has some great tracks like 'Mushi' or 'Embryo.' I do actually like the nu-metal/j-rock thing Dir en grey had going on with Vulgar and WtD so both of those albums I find entertaining. Even simple stuff like 'Garbage' (insert the obvious joke here) is fun just for Kyo's silly vocals. Arche is definitely my favorite Diru album though. That one strikes a perfect balance between their latter-era heaviness, lighter ballad side, and their progressive tendencies. Yeah, I'll grant you that 'The Inferno' is kinda lame, but the rest I love.

Really? I find WtD to be a lot of fun. Probably in the middle of the road for me. My least favorite Diru album would be either Kisou (probably an unpopular opinion) or Marrow of the Bone (maybe more popular?).

Tracklist: 1. 蟲聲 2. デルタ (Type-A only) 2. 六花の歔欷 (Type-B only) - Love them or hate them; but don't do either based on this single I was able to put into words the biggest reason why I’ve liked 儿 (Jin) ( The Black Swan/ Nega) while attending The Black Swan’s one-man live in June of last year. I realized while Jin was pouring his heart into one of their trademark overwrought, overlong ballads that no one else is able to tread the line between embracing the tropes of Visual Kei and mocking them like Jin has. He doesn’t just tow that line, he and his bands have taken up permanent residence there for some time now. Take 2015’s “I’m Shit Noodle, But…” off The Black Swan’s 失愛と依存、その感触 single as a prime example of this ability to live the VK lifestyle, tongues firmly in cheek. VK is a genre so built on the idolization of characters that it is downright scandalous when it’s publicly revealed that band members have engaged in mostly innocuous activities like having girlfriends or smoking some weed. The Black Swan wrote a banger turning this image of the impossibly virtuous band member on its head by shouting about their enjoyment of sex, drugs and money; a value system that is traditionally accepted in rock’n’roll but rarely espoused by people in the VK community. I enjoy Jin’s nasal warble; I appreciate uniqueness and passion more than a traditionally ‘good’ singing voice…which Jin certainly does not have. I think it’s often unnecessary to have two guitarists playing downtuned/seven+ string guitars and a bassist basically occupying the same sonic space, but all the guitarists are competent. I also thoroughly enjoy that the drummer has achieved a slight amount of separate-from-the-band fame by being a scary looking VK dude who adopted a tiny, stray kitten. With all that being said, I was disappointed when The Black Swan announced recently that they’d be disbanding next May after more than three years together as a band. They have not announced any other releases, though this being VK, I assume we’ll get a best-of release with a new warmed-over B-side or two, so 蟲聲 might be the last gasp of this particular band of VK provocateurs. The title track “蟲聲”--after it gets the acoustic intro from “Chop Suey!” out of the way--is the kind of song that Jin and The Black Swan will be remembered for; a little all-over-the-place compositionally, a riff that sounds like the guitarist would be walking toward the camera in the video, a plethora of vocal styles (some squeals, slightly flat singing, deathcore-inspired growling, some gang shouting), there's slightly haunting piano to highlight the sombre mood, the chorus that Jin uses for about 30% of his songs. All-in-all this is probably the least interesting track on this single. This being a VK single, of course there are multiple versions to buy to get all the songs. The A-Type version of 蟲聲 contains “デルタ (Delta)”. Critics would say this song sounds a lot like someone took a solid Dezert song and sprinkled some fart-sounding drop-A riffs and strained vocals throughout; to which I couldn’t make much of an argument except to say the chorus is deliciously catchy no matter if someone else would’ve done it better or not. I like the gravelly whisper in one channel under the singing that Jin does to end the song too. The B-Type song "六花の歔欷" would seem to be a very lengthy track by VK standards, but Jin fans will be unfazed after epic-length experiments like “虚しき「生」の寓意≒「死」の真意” and “Ousia”. This track pales in comparison to those other 7+ minute songs, mostly by not differentiating itself enough (all the usual ingredients are there: piano, acoustic guitar, etc.), but it does have a pretty stellar falsetto wail right before a smart guitar solo @ 3:50 and it gets points for not trying to scare the listener with unexpected guitar explosions, but rather is simply a solid, longing ballad throughout. The Black Swan will go down as being mostly a logical evolution of Jin’s sound during the latter days of Nega that continued their quest as one of the more polarizing bands in VK. Love him or hate him, Jin will get you to have some reaction. But don’t take my word for any of this, my favorite Jin project is freakin’ Perestroika ;).

unless the item you're giving is a prohibited item (dangerous goods, perishables, etc.), the bandman will almost definitely receive your gift even if they didn't mention it explicitly. if you ask me, it's a lot less stressful to give gifts to bandmen of bigger/more popular bands since the whole process is a lot more streamlined/systematic instead of hoping that your guy is coming out to buppan (last week i asked a bandman when they will at buppan at their next live and his reply was "idk, DM me on twitter and i'll come out?" lol). the downside is the lack of interaction/intimacy i guess. another possibility is to pass the gift to the bandman directly if there is satsuei after live or at instores (less awkward if it's a 2 shot so that you don't have to do it in front of everyone else). for bigger bands, usually fans leave them in stipulated baskets/boxes at livehouses or send them directly to their office (there should be an address for fanletters/gift on their OHP). as for flowers, what Duwang says works. the only thing i'd add is that if you're planning to decorate the flowers (photos, balloons, etc.), it would help to discuss it with the flower shop esp if you require it in advance of the live. i also suggest trying to get more people (esp those chipping in) to help with the arrangement.
