  1. LUNA SEA's new song might be mediocre at best, but they're still able to give performances like this 25 yrs into their career. I get chills everytime.

and this has been my daily LS comment, praised be

  2. me going through the Show Yourself thread

  3. might be a long shot, but does anyone have any idea what the guys from allport diary are doing these days? they were on YUKIYA's label around late 00's with bands like Kain, the bullet and LOGiQ.

  4. Nao from Kagrra, is undoubtedly high up there with J from LUNA SEA as one of the best bassist that has ever been in the scene. Listening to old Kagrra music, in particular their first four mini albums, still leave me surprised at how good he is and I have known these songs for like 15 years. His bass line are tasty.

I agree, that guitar solo on Masque was god like haha. All the mini album was very good! I felt like listening to an old record by Nogod haha. I agree with you saishuu, their best in a long time!

Also, it's fun to see other fellows that enjoy NoGod! Cheers guys!

that guitar solo in Masque was fantastic! it went on forever but it was so worth it. when I thought it was over, Kyrie just kept going lmao he is a beast when he wants to.

I knew they wouldn't disappoint me with a mini-album (Rashinban remains their best work ever) and I'm really happy with how Shingeki came out.

yikes. both of those were one-mans? I thought they could at least fill up LIQUIDROOM

in my case, they just got too repetitive and boring. their music was good for one album, two at best, but then I didn't feel like listening to them anymore. sad to see how far down they went :(

    3. zombieparadise

      zombieparadise

Well, they were outside Tokyo (Okayama and Maebashi), so that could be a part of it but...

They're still my favorite and I appreciate their consistency, but I definitely get how they could get repetitive! Though in recent albums, they've begun to experiment some more, so you should totally try em' out again : )

      saishuu

oh, makes more sense. still unfortunate regardless.

I've actually been trying to give their newest album a chance! it sounds relatively from what I remember. gonna give it a few more spins eventually :)

  14. Red Velvet/kpop fans: as I am too lazy to dig into their discography by myself, I would greatly appreciate if someone could recommend me some of their stuff that sound like these two songs:

  17. since the kids came out to play in the forum these last few days, how about we talk about school?

more specifically how school food punishment was perfect and how "goodblue" was criminally underrated

    1. CAT5

      CAT5

I remember not liking this song (or the album much) back when I first heard it, but this grew to become one of my favorite SFP tracks!

yes this is me shamelessly looking for new music

    1. kurenaishineek

      kurenaishineek

      SUGGESTIONS - Downtempo Metalcore
      Mary's Blood - Power Metal

Rokugen Alice - Melodic Power/Gothic Metal, reminding myself of this awesome band

Hayashibara Megumi - only the songs from Slayers anime series

five months old - a doujin Progressive Metalcore band who plays re:arrangements of aikatsu songs.

FIESTAR, i know its not japanese, but its korean, and i only listen to one song, Apple Pie, cant get this goddamn song out of my head and when i start playing it its on for 2-3 hours nonstop.

    2. colorful人生

      colorful人生

the cibo, monoqlopanda, CRAZY VODKA TONIC, and quite a bit of Lucie, Too

Two others with no association whatsoever which I've been listening to on YT:

Hideaki Tokunaga b/c Rainy Blue is my ritual

Kamiboku *cough* Mafumafu *cough* is a fun (and angst filled, lol) listen.

It's starting to grow on me as well as of late. A lot of people seem to love it but now I'm starting to feel it.

Let's also not forget the underrated pioneers, Guruguru Eigakan. Anyone with knowledge of the Hirajoshi scale will easily hear that in their music.
