Hello everyone, I hope you are well 😁 I met v-kei when I was 13 years old watching a music video from one of my favorite bands, NIGHTMARE. The sound, the visual aesthetics, the movement itself made me love for life. Although I liked that kind of style very much, I started to like Oshare Kei more. Bands such as Irokui, An Cafe, Ichigo69, Delphinium, Poroli, Hime Ichigo, among others. At present, I also like the Angura, groups like Monokuro Kinema, MIZERIA, Kalimero, Hotaru, Jully, etc. I do not like much the evolution that Visual Kei has taken in the last time, but I can not deny that it has been the aesthetic (and pseudo musical) genre that managed to steal my heart, being almost impossible that I like something else at this point. I hope to contribute to this community of which they have spoken to me very well. Thank you very much to anyone who has read me and I hope we can talk, if you like 😊. -

If he really wants to start shit in the scene, a new omnibus with Eternal-era GazettE demos OR a ~☆30 Years Of Me☆~ collection with La:Sadie's tracks would do it. -

L'Arc~en~Ciel is back
pawzord and one other reacted to nekkichi for a post in a topic
idk if this board carried on a l'arc en ciel thread but this is how forums work - one liner responses on the news announcements, expanded shitposting discussion in the respective rihlease rihview/artist topics u r by all means welcome to start some sort of conversation here - https://www.monochrome-heaven.com/forum/11-artists/ for a band that is on l'arc en ciel levels of irrelevancy when it comes to release schedule it's really hard to expect any active conversation going on atm, I don't think I really seen them being discussed much outside of 2004 livejournal tbh. -

L'Arc~en~Ciel is back
Sayan and one other reacted to carddass for a post in a topic
touché, this was definitely more on-topic. But seriously, I've been a long time fan since Blurry Eyes appeared in front of DNA and I didn't realize I had to speak only positively about them! Okay, here goes, Tierra is a desert island disc for me - I hope they play White Feathers at the concert! What I do find fascinating and sorely lacking on forums is really in-depth conversation that goes beyond one-liner comments. The motivations of the band and the individual members are more interesting (whether good or bad) to me now and a simple "L'arc is back!" thread would leave some casual or uninformed fans the impression they are returning. I believed that at first until I read it was just concerts. I simple explained how they might not be back in the way L'arc fans really are hoping for. -

https://vk.gy/releases/omnibus/583/demo-tape-collections/ https://vk.gy/releases/omnibus/1411/matina-presents-2007-kinenban/ https://vk.gy/releases/omnibus/3171/matina-20th-anniversary-memorial-cd-rare-track-collectionz/ All three of these are great. The 2007 one has a really solid selection, and the 'demo tape' one has a huge amount of rare stuff in great quality. The 20th anniversary one has a good mix of good tracks and rare tracks--and it's the only one you can reliably buy anymore. I also highly recommend this DVD if you're looking for live footage: https://vk.gy/releases/omnibus/6764/lorelei-bootleg-dvd-series-vol-2-matina-presents-1999-1999-5-23-shibuya-on-air-east-2nd-press/ There's another with great Madeth gray'll footage as well: https://vk.gy/releases/omnibus/6765/lorelei-bootleg-dvd-series-vol-3-osaka-rock-summit-1999-12-29-osaka-big-cat/ -

Still not super thrilled with the album, but I do like 懐色花火, another world, and esp. Adventure Time. (I'm trying to convince myself that 懐色花火 does a slight nod to xTRiPx - Fall to U (my favorite song, btw) , the chorus melodies are similar) -

1 pointWe're trying to build a community for visual kei influenced musicians. The stated goal is to create a place where people can post their stuff for feedback or find other musicians to collaborate with. It might be too niche of an idea so we might have to include other alternative styles of music like darkwave, gothic, black metal and etc. The idea is to get like-minded musicians together in one place.

Probably another compilation/best of release, or like a 1 day revival. But, I honestly won't wince unless I hear about some sort of legit reformation. I try my best, but neither FED nor Breakn Holiday (?I think?) really do it for me, in comparison. If it's time to over-hype two ambiguous twitter posts, sign me the fuck up Basiiiically, the key is leda and juri being in a band again. Would be a shame if 10 years passed and they still didn't realize how G they were together -
1 pointIt's pretty weird for me to see how much criticism Shinya's drumming gets because I always had him as one of my favorite drummers. Of course he doesn't really work as a "metal" drummer but his style is pretty unique, reminds me of Nick Mason from Pink Floyd with all the weird tom rolls and weird accents. When it comes to live performances I agree that he doesn't always replicate his drumlines perfectly, but on his defense he developed stress fracture of the ribs around 2011 from overtouring (they talk about that on one of the Age Quod Agis DVDs but I don't remember which one) and aparently never recovered from that (and well, he is on his 40s, he doesn't really has all the physic prowess he used to have when he was younger). I think he's like the drumming equivalent of Kyo in a sense: his studio work is really nuts but he's not the most technical musician live, so he goes over his limitations with a lot of determination and intensity (I don't really see that as positive though, in the end it only makes their conditions get worse )

1 pointNo, they released more. You can find 3 CDs on their homepage, but they released more. But you understood me wrong i think. They have around 10 to 15 songs they play at their lives (usually 4 to 6 songs at one live). Some of those are released, some of them arent. But this is the case for like most bands i think. However, the background guitars, intros, effects etc. playing as "playback" seemed so finished, that i thought they recorded those songs already (thats why i thought they would release a single or mini album this year). But seems these songs will never see the light of day (except if you have live recordings that you can listen to). Thats why some people love live recordings ("terekos") from small bands that have only 1 live distr. but dozens of songs they only played live and didnt have the money to record. Maybe this underlines some thoughts: Take the band LIM for example. When i saw them live i only knew their 1 live distr. and thought they are no big deal but the event live was packed with fans for them and they played 4-5 songs (of which 3 will be released on their upcoming CD). On the same live MEIDARA played, that have some CDs released and seemed to have fans here, but had 0 fans at the event i saw them (most people even left only for their set). Just because a band isnt famous on here doesnt mean they arent "famous" in the vk scene and vice versa I felt BUK BUK was an example of a band not so known here but that couldve had an impact on the vk scene as the new DAMY or DEZERT as some here called them (even tho most/all of their songs are without screams and more melodic). But when i saw their vocalist without makeup and realized how young he was i feared such disbanding would happen when they finish school or so.
