  1. After around 2 years and 3 weeks i finally finished copying all my 1100+ Cds to my PC.

  2. Oh well here we go again...

Live houses opened and immediately Bands announce new Live Limited Stuff. It sucks ass to be back at this again but i totally understand it since its the best way to draw an audience to your lives.

Although i gotta admit when it comes to being total "collector scum" like some People call it, its always an amazing feeling to score some live Limited Stuff.

Also it felt kinda depressing even as an oversea fan when you see some Vk Band opening up some Webshop where they sell a Live Limited CD and still they aren't even able to sell 10 copies within a week.

Made me wonder how there can be so many Vk Bands around when probably 70% barely make any Profit off of it.

Anyway done with the rant... 😅

    1. Seimeisen

      Seimeisen

I agree with Zeus that it doesn't bother me as much. Most bands I still listen to have stopped doing them, and now I just avoid new bands that do. Keeps me in a bubble, but it's a wallet-saving bubble~

    2. TheTrendkiller

      TheTrendkiller

Selling copies in live only is a lot less hassle for the bands. Getting your CD into retail stores, webshops etc is very costly. So this way they don't need to be worried to be left with a huge pile of unsold CD's.

    3. VkBrutaliaN

      VkBrutaliaN

      @Seimeisen

Definitely agree about the wallet saving thing and in general thats probably the smartest thing one can do but unfortunately that doesn't Work for me since i'm a huge sucker for new Bands... XD

  3. This just sounds ridiculously brutal!

Always kinda mind baffling how such a band only has 137 views on this video and only 17 subscribers...

    1. VkBrutaliaN

      VkBrutaliaN

It is... and honestly i guess it's probably only because they are japanese.

If they would be some american band or whatever i bet they would've got way more exposure compared to what they have now after being active for over 2 years already...

  6. listening to some old gems in remembrance of the old era of heavy Vk and damn CIVIL were perfect! although they only released one maxi single in 2011 they had so much potential - love the vocalists super mumbly harsh VoKills.

    1. itsukoii

      itsukoii

  7. just noticed while having a look at バラライカ's booklet that it says: "Recording, Mixing and Masterring: eve" - I instantly was like: THAT EVE!? but since AvelCain is almost done i guess he moved on so pretty interresting to know i imo...

  8. just watched DADAROMA's pv for 造花とカラシニコフ and i must say its a pretty awesome song and since because of the pv preview it seemed like the song is a ballade i can assure... its not!

...song has some screaming + growling, a few (although short) blastbeats, a beastly breakdown a nice guitar solo... like really a great song overall!

  11. back from tokyo for about 5 weeks now but because of constantly new incoming CDs i still have around 30 lying in my shelves to listen to - wish it could be like that forever! XD

    1. Seimeisen

      Seimeisen

That's how many I brought back with me from my 2 week trip. If I was there another week, I probably would have needed to buy another suitcase *just for CDs* XD

    2. VkBrutaliaN

      VkBrutaliaN

i know that feeling just too good! ;D

the last 2 times where i was in tokyo with my wife we really bought a new suitcase every time!! XD

because we always buy way to much and because compared to what we find here they have the best quality in japan from what it seems...

    3. Komorebi

      Komorebi

      I feel you.

  12. usually once i didn't listen to a CD anymore in a couple of months i deleted them from my hard drive... now i thought its better to keep them on my hard drive none the less which means... ...still over 800 CDs to copy again to my PC ~ FML!! it'll take months until i got everything back copied to my PC.. >.>''

    1. patientZERO

      patientZERO

I did the same thing with my iPod. I've had it for over a decade now and decided at my last job that I would play the thing on shuffle. If I skipped a song, it wasn't worth keeping the album (with some exceptions) and it helped me really weed out my music collection of things I've grown out of.

I would suggest investing in a portable hard drive, though, and just use that to only store up your music. Back it up once a month and you'll slowly get your library back in order.

    2. VkBrutaliaN

      VkBrutaliaN

i once had a portable hard drive but it got fucked up and everything was lost (back in the era were i downloaded like 90% which is years ago) but for now my tactic is just go through my shelf which is in order from A-Z and i'll get to every single CD and copy it on my PC - once that is done i'll do one more copy of everything to an external hard drive in hope it won't fuck up again...

actually i never wanted to do it but since my driving teacher and my wife told me that CDs don't necessarily hold forever i was like: hm maybe you should keep everything digitally saved jsut in case... since it could be that certain CDs won't play anymore after a couple of years although they have no scratches but also you can have luck and they hold a lifetime... - you never know...

    3. BrenGun

      BrenGun

      cds hold forever.  no worries.

only own burned cds / dvds burned on fast speed don't hold forever.

  13. i know many will hate me for this but damn - my guilty pleasure for days now... - sounds so good ~

  14. before i started listening to Vk acts about 10 years ago i despised everything electronic within music and nowadays i LOVE electronic stuff in music especially Vk like in DictavE, TweiT, NAINE, L.A bash all the emotions, etc.

THANKS Vk for being that AWESOME!!! ;D

    1. マジゲイ誤算

      マジゲイ誤算

DictavE I like as well. I only managed to get the stuff after the original singer left. Penance Stare was really good. L.A bash all the emotions I really like now. I ordered Get FxxK Hxx, and I really want So What? That song is my current favorite of theirs, especially the breakdowns after the 1 2 drop the bass. Too bad immortal spit is going to be hard to find, since they took it off their YouTube channel.

    2. VkBrutaliaN

      VkBrutaliaN

oh then you should definitely by all means get DictavE's latest minialbum. the reason why i even wrote all this was because i am so in LOVE with the beat of the song "Pendelum"!! 8D

agreed - the breakdown in So What? is fucking sick!!! i almost was able to get a copy but unfortunately when i friend of mine went to a live of theirs in tokyo he told me that they didn't had any CDs which sucked ass... >.> but sometimes it is really just too strange with live limited CDs of such small indie bands...

i remember when i first saw DictavE live with their original vocalist they only had 3 live limited CDs and when i went to their buppan i bought all 3 of them and shortly after me a japanese girl went to their buppan to buy a CD and they just told her its SOLD OUT. and i was just like: WTF?!? why did they only bring 1 copy of each CD to their live but oh well it worked out for me since i was the very first person at their buppan luckily and since the girl was japanese i am sure she could've bought whatever CD she wanted at a later live... XD

and because of L.A bate's CD So What? because they joined starwave records i am still hoping they eventually they'll sell their CD at some later point at their official webshop like for example when FIXER joined starwave records they also all of a sudden started selling 2 of their latest live limited singles via their official webshop so fingers crossed! ;D

    3. マジゲイ誤算

      マジゲイ誤算

Oh I bought their latest mini XD I’m waiting on shipping it with my tenso order since I preordered off of puresound; should be here in a week so I’m excited! That’s crazy XD I guess they thought they weren’t going to sell any that night. I remember yoyaku for a band through their website and specially asked if they can bring a copy of their latest CD(since it was live limited) and they completely forgot and I had to go to the next live to buy it, pretty sure they purposely did that cause I ended buying 10 Cheki instead. I’m hoping for that too for L.A bate. And give immortal spit a proper release too.

  15. lately i was wondering why people even bother buying limited editions inlcuding a DVD nowadays...

i mean sure if you are a hardcore collector or there is only one version with DVD then OK i get it but if you buy the version with the DVD you only have "bad" quality on your own TV whilst if watching their pv on yt you can watch it in HD and therefore in much better quality...

    1. God

      God

I'm not sure what you mean entirely, but if I'm right about what you're saying, then I can think of several instances where there's a CD/DVD release where you can't find all the PVs on YouTube that come on the DVD.

    2. VkBrutaliaN

      VkBrutaliaN

^ I don't really want to go anywhere with this but its just a thought i had lately. but for your reply yea you are right of course but i mean espescially with newer releases since most new bands tend to upload their full pvs days before the actual release.

    3. Kiryu999

      Kiryu999

Agreed, I rarely buy limited editions that contains PVs cause the quality is kinda bad and better on youtube but sometimes bands don't upload the full thing on yt so, sometimes they add making of into the dvd but I don't find it that interesting to watch ?

  16. ...that feeling of relieve when you listen outside music via headphones and all of a sudden  you think like: fuck someone behind me is probably shouting at me...

but then it turns out it was just a spoken word passage in the song you've never noticed before... XD

    1. Gesu

      Gesu

I always use headphones when I'm outside, so people sometimes think I'm just being rude when I don't respond to them until they notice. Nowadays, everyone just waves their hand in front of my face if they want my attention X)

    3. VkBrutaliaN

      VkBrutaliaN

yea it also happens to me a lot when i am walking around with headphones that people just try to ask me something and i only notice it because they look at me and i see their mouth is moving and i mostly always just think like: hey i'm listening to music if you haven't noticed so why don't you ask the person next to me... must be either because i look so charismatic * ;D * or they are just plain stupid...

  17. Because i felt like it i've posted 1 song from the DEXCORE×NAZARE split in the "Requests" forum. (didn't know where else to put it)

So if you are interested to listen to it go watch it since i'll delete it within roughly 48 hours...

  18. I am very glad there will be a new forum with J-ROCK ONE to continue what MH was known for.

But honestly as of now i dunno if i will continue to contribute like here or if i'll just visit as a guest or so called lurker frequently.

therefore just in case, until i know what i wanna do, if anyone wants to keep in touch for trades etc. feel free to do so on twitter @VkBrutaliaN

      VkBrutaliaN

definitely! i am already thinking like if i can get into another hobby cuz without his news and not knowing what new bands have formed and when what new releases (specially live limited stuff etc.) comes out this site gets almost pointless for me...

  20. anyone else who got problems with playing twitter videos lately?

    1. Lestat

      Lestat

I do not think I have ever experienced a time where they did work properly at all.

    2. VkBrutaliaN

      VkBrutaliaN

hm.... i was just wondering because normally i could play them all without any problem but since last friday it doesn't work anymore... also on my mobile phone it doesn't work - it just says like "the medium couldn't be played"... kinda sucks bcuz especially nowadays where a lot of Vk bands upload twitter "exclusive" videos..

  21. today i was at zepp tokyo and i saw R指定/アルルカン/DIAURA/DEZERT/NOCTURNAL BLOODLUST/MEJIBRAY and all of them were AMAZING live!

got myself a pretty sick looking towel of NOCTURNAL BLOODLUST which they haven't even listed at the "goods" section on their OHP.

but as good the lives were the reality hit pretty hard after the concert. cuz while leaving the hall and going back to the station it was like curb crawling.

like srsly at least 10-15 indies Vk bandguys trying to hand out flyers after the concert to promote themselfes and because i and my wife obviously don't look like japanese we were totally ignored cuz logigally we aren't the main target they aim for... japanese young girls...... - OUCH! that hurt my heart a tiny little bit tonight....^^°

it was a sick live! they played 10 or 11 songs i believe including 2 as encore.

  23. here's the latest addition to my Vk room! and you gotta agree no matter if you like or dislike アヴァンチック but this looks just AMAZING - especially in real life because of the 3D effect. although you can't see on the picture...
