Have you ever seen a Thor movie or even read the comics? You do know that beside being inspired by Thor, the god from Norse mythology, he's just a silly fucking comic book character like? And it's not like the male Thor in the comics, or movie, are very masculine to begin with. So if anything you should be angry at everything Thor, both male and female, as he is, by far, the most silly and easily among the least masculine character from The Avengers.

@Bear I beg to differ because Thor in Infinity War is the most baddass & manly & hardcore & kickass character in all MCU

good lord that movie is good and his arrival in wakanda is absolutely spetacular, god damn

since when i said that the usual Thor from the comics is a example of masculinity? or a example of anything? The true sympathizers of Thor and the pagan customs probably won't give a damn about it,for the fact that it's a comic book. But also, many see the "THOR GIRL " as a form of mockery, that's all.Why do you guys care so much that i find it a problem? Since  it's "just a silly fucking comic".

  2. ok,first the ghost hunters, L from death note, then Shun from saint seiya, little mermaid and now this...I honestly hope one day they hire Brie Larson to be the "RAMBA",when they decide to make a Rambo remake.

People were already foaming at the thought of Idris Elba as 007, now this...? BUT IS IT GONNA BE A GOOD MOVIE? Why not create a NEW franchise with a badass female spy? Why use the old 007 name? sigh

Idris would have been an amazing James Bond, Luther is one of the best British shows there is.

  3. Just went to the doctor and it all occurred as expected: I'm fucked up. Also, all the money I was saving to buy a decent guitar, equipment and go on with my music course will be used to pay my exams to treat my stomach and lung problems because of fuckin nicotine and beer. Goddammit,I thought it would happen at my 60's.

Did they examine your liver? That's usually hardest hit by binge drinking, but it can hurt your stomach too since drinking ANY alcohol will irritate and inflame the stomach lining. Hopefully you can get all fixed up. Apparently it's akin to GERD in that it'll eat away at the stomach lining as opposed to GERD eating away at the lining in the esophagus.

      Euronymous

I'm yet to do the exams.and to be very honest im not that ready to live my life without my eventual escapism, but on other  hand i don't even care about the insane amount of money spent anymore,I just wanna get cured asap and move on. I learned the lesson.

    4. secret_no_03

      secret_no_03

Well hopefully you'll heal, the money will come back around and you can get back on track. The important thing is that you learned your lesson, but sobriety (not sure if you're completely giving up drinking) is a long hard road, so good luck and best of luck to quit smoking because I hear that's a hell of a lot harder.

  4. MEME's vocalist (L) has a very catchy and distinct voice,as we all know, but how could you take these guys seriously when they come up with bandnames and logos that looks like some bad parody? With such singing skills he should be on he's way to be the next Ruki or something like that.

      Elazmus

@Euronymous for what it's worth, Ruki is STILL not far from ordinary and it took him a pretty long time to get to that point lol. I think L is overall a lot MORE skilled than Ruki was at this age in his career and as far as his potential he's got tons but his position as a guy in these bands struggling to take off and the scene being different makes it hard to see that trajectory for him 😕

I am in Italy, literally one of the worst places to be in this current situation... what I can say is to not be panicked but at the same time you need to be careful...

Limit your going out to job and urgent things
Avoid to touch things (having gloves is even better) and touching your face too

Avoid overcrowded places (if your country didnt close them)

But above all... WASH YOUR HANDS! It may seem stupid to say, but please do it!

And if in your home you feel bored, try to occupy at best your time; watch a movie, play a videogame you love, read tons of books, bake a cake, make a damn origami, shortly whatever!
As an Italian, I am feeling this thing more that what you would think... but at the same time I am staying lucid and to continue being myself.

Be safe guys, I love you all 💗

Just some extra thoughts: I think if the countryside or some green area is easily accessible going outside for fresh air would help. Because the worst thing when one has a cold (and that's essentially what corona is) is to stay inside a stuffy house breathing the same old air. So avoid crowded spaces, but don't avoid fresh air and sunlight.

      @Ada Suilen stay safe!

    4. Ada Suilen

      Ada Suilen

Thanks @platy! You're right, if you have the luck of having some green area (I don't unfortunately), have a walk there for some minute, fresh air is always healthy!

  6. wanted to make a topic about the positive and negative aspects about finding new bands on internet.I mean,i remember when i didn't have access to internet and each album that i could buy,i used to spend weeks listening to the same stuff.Nowadays there's so many good stuff and infinite options floating online, that even though i discover some  incredible  music  i feel like i never give the "proper" attention it actually deserved due to the fact that i'm always  busy giving attention and discovering other stuff each day.my english suck, but thats it,not sure if its worth making a topic for it. (and of course it is better with internet lol)

Naaaaahhh, you are just fine. We live in a world where we are bombarded with new information every day and music is just yet another form of information.

So choosing something that is in abundance is more difficult than when there's shortage of it. And it's a good thing to me, since it's part of progress and progress in general cannot be stopped.

    3. Bear

      Bear

Pros: easy to find new bands, can listen before you buy and so on. And the sheer amount of bands gives you countless options.

Cons: the sheer amount of albums being released makes it so hard to keep up, and to find a proper diamond you basically have to check out a lot of albums because everything drowns among the amount of albums. And I don't feel like I have as much time to give albums the time they need to truly shine.

Back in the days, way before I had internet, the way we bought albums was simple: we bought magazines with reviews and after a while we got to know the tastes of the reviewers. So we knew who was matching our tastes in music and not. So if an album got a proper good review we'd go out to the music stores close to us and give a few tracks a listen there, and then buy it if it sounded good. And then for the next weeks that's the album(s) we'd be spinning on repeat. It was fun, but at the same time we did buy a lot of albums that gave off a good first impression, but we ended up getting rid off. Felt like such a waste of money. Nowadays that just doesn't happen to me, unless I just buy something blind which I do every now and then. Because that's a lot of fun, but sadly too expensive.

This is the same as with movies, video games and so on too. Same shit. When we bought, or even rented, movies and games back in the days we ALWAYS saw/played it through. No matter how bad our first impression was we watched or played the entire thing through. Sometimes it payed off, other times we felt betrayed. :P

You've pointed something interesting.i always thought that it was something that most of introvert people deal with ,like a huge mosaic of different subjects going on inside the head. I've developed this desire to explore the "dark corners" of my mind, getting rid of issues that I deal with since I have conscience and reach the self improvement.

Yes, it's him. I like ballad songs very much and I ended up checking his solo stuff on Spotify, really liked his voice.

What happened to him, unfortunately happens to hundreds of people everyday, I think metal illness still something neglected by most part of society. No wonder they call depression and such illnesses the illness of the century. I still have mine and sometimes it can be a struggle to not let this "shadow" build up inside you.

There's no talk of any disbandment yet. From the band's Twitter it looks like they even have gigs lined up for April and May so looks like they're continuing.

I don't see any info on the new guitarist tho, might be a support member or they might be announcing the new member at one of these future lives, we'll see I guess...

    1. Jigsaw9

      Jigsaw9

Not sure what's the reference point connecting the three bands (kinda old-schoolish Japanese metal?), but I really recommend Gargoyle if you haven't given them a try already. Great mixture of heavy and thrash metal, occasionally with some 'exotic' elements.

    2. Euronymous

      Euronymous

yea,all the three bands are very different from each other lol,i meant that they are the only "out-of-vk-scene" thing that i had some contact with, onmyouza in special,i wanted to know if there's any other band like them in japan, approaching tradicional japanese themes and history, with that iron maiden style.never was a big fan of thrash metal, but i'm enjoying  Gargoyle, thank u (and i got the exotic elements lol)

  23. it's been more than one year since Yuuki (ex unsraw) released those previews, etc. My guess is that he was about to debut with his new project, but something happened in the middle of the whole process.( i could be very wrong about this) The important is that he has been posting more and more from the studio,so he still working hard. 24. So as you could see,the hype is totally confirmed for Elden Ring, which started being developed since the release of DarkSouls 3 DLC's,and it's going to be a third-person dark fantasy, but unlike SEKIRO, which is more focused on action,Elden ring is more souls-like with focus on RPG elements. I was wondering if we'd get a DarkSouls 4 somewhere in the near future, but this is more than I expected. With a new title they can do things in a way they've never done before. I guess the only thing I wish for this game is a "character selection" like The warrior, the Elf,the dwarf ,etc... instead of playing with the main hero only with classes that basically only changes your outfits and the kind of weapon you begin with. Can't wait for this.
