This might be obvious, but for some people it helps to go to a different environment. Go to the library and use their PC instead of your laptop, if you don't already. It might help you focus in on the task and spend some hours on it. Other than that, this is how I dealt with it: freak out for a little bit, take a deep breath, then do it.

I'm still working on that Remembering 2014 review, please wait and continue to support me onegashimasu! I also don't think I've done many, if any, trade-offs since then, knowing that I am inconsistent with following up. If it will make you feel better, I'll sign up for the next one and Cat5 can publicly tell me "NO"

Like seriously?! So you are not a fan ? Lol I think all their live performances are amazing. Better than their studio version. One of the greatest bands in vk Which people only hate cause they are the most popular :-\ so what is your favorite band?

Seeing as how this thread has disturbingly outlived its purpose, and i'm now disturbed reading all of this - Thread Closed. Until further notice, trade-offs will continue to be hosted every other month, and the deadlines will be as flexible as they need to. The blacklist will certainly be enforced.

Take it from this oldie who spent too many years at higher education here ^^ Log off of MH now (after reading the rest of this of course)! In fact, put all your social media and electronic devices away until you have done the tasks you have set yourself for that day. Browsing social media and hanging out with friends should be your end of the day treat. Set yourself realistic goals to do for each day, whether it be finish reading 100 articles or writing just 250 word chunks, and manage your time and take breaks around it. Since your deadline is just round the corner, stock up with easy to make meals and make sure you eat, drink and sleep properly. It's easy to forget to do so and I often ended up not understanding why I couldn't concentrate before a deadline. Many also find writing their essays on analogue pen and paper to be more productive than typing away on a keyboard, something about the flexibility of pen and paper meant you actually spend less time procrastinating and less likely to be distracted by cat videos on YT. You might also consider going analogue with your practice interviews too. Roleplay and read your script to yourself loudly (with or without an audience), to help you familiarise with possible answers and build confidence along the way. I wish you all the best!

Japanese gyas come to vk gigs all dressed up with giant heels but just before the show is about to start they put on crocs or slip on and they come with a lot of bags. Nobody is checking what's inside, I came with water bottle inside a plastic bag and the staff didn't notice (and probably don't care) You'll get a drink ticket when you get to the doors so no need to bring something to drink actually Note that I went only to vk gigs in really small live houses, idk if it's the same in bigger venues

Time management is your best friend, please, please learn to start your assignments earlier. We got this advice from everyone and most people just brushed it off but it's seriously a life saver. You'll avoid so many meltdowns and so much stress. But since you're already in the middle of the mess here's some overall advice. -Take breaks OUTSIDE. I don't mean minimise the essay window and go browse Facebook. I mean go for a walk. It'll really help clear your head. -Make a realistic list of what you need to do. Make lists of everything. Break your assignments in step by step instructions. What do you need to do, what will you discuss, How will you get there, how long it might take to write it out, how long editing will take, etc. -Reward yourself. Okay so you managed to write three paragraphs. Time to eat a chocolate or whatever you like doing. -Humans can only focus productively for like 15 mins average. So take regular breaks when writing so you don't burn your brain out. -Talk to people. They're most definitely going through the same thing as you. -But also... Put your social media away. This shit is time consuming as fuck. How will you make this deadline if you're browsing the Facebook or instagram feed every 2 minutes? Answer: you won't. Restrain yourself from distractions. There is software like ColdTurkey that you can install on your computer and it'll block a bunch of websites so you'll have to focus on your work. Trust me, suddenly you'll have a lot more time to do stuff. -Don't be too harsh on yourself. Drowning in alcohol will only make your uni life worse when all you need to do is just prioritise certain things and your life will be a lot easier. Destroying yourself isn't funny. - Most importantly!! Work smarter not harder. It's better if you do half an hour of pure essay writing and then take a break than if you do an hour of writing distracted by social media, games. Etc. I was by no means a perfect student, I just managed to survive a *little* better because in my final semester I finally applied some of these tips to my daily routine. Better late than never.

@AyaRukiAfirst of all, old doesn't equal ugly. 40 years of age isn't even old lmao. Secondly, pick a gazette pv. Look at the comments and tell me how many are about the musical technicalities and how many are people fantasising about one of the members. Go to tumblr and Instagram and read what people post about these bands... Safe to say the loud majority of VK fans are horny fangirls. "Shallow fangirls" will be present in every band's fandom. It isn't just a gazette issue lol. Anyway, fandoms are toxic and full of hypocrisy so you shouldn't be taking what other elitist horny fangirls say about their peers seriously.

Why other fandoms think we like the gazette only for their looks? All gazette members are getting old aoi is already 39 years old. So I don't know why they think we are shallow young fangirls. First I'm not a young girl I'm 22 . 2nd I like them because they are more than just a band for me. The gazette for me = awesome vocal. Music. Songs. Live performance . Friendship and Beautiful lyrics . If we choose really based on looks we wouldn't choose a band like the gazette I think shallow fangirls would like other bands ( without mentioning names) :-\

I always thought ZON's Jellyfish was a hell of a song, really creative, until @JamesRpointed out how it was such a blatant copy of THE ORAL CIGARETTES's DIP-BAP: I find it so funny how ZON had the balls to do such a rip-off in such a short time, like a few months after DIP-BAP release. I still love both songs, but If this isn't the proof that nobody cares about VK in japan, I don't know what is.

These guys aren't actually new, as it turns out. V.L.T. is the revival of the band ヴァレンタイン (VALENTAIN), which was around in 2007~2010 or so, but the only original member is the vocalist. 髑髏 was also a roadie for R-shitei https://vk.gy/artists/v-l-t/

NOOO, these guys were supposed to be the second-wave Tokami. What the fuck do these idiots think they're doing? If they come back as a new band, they better not join Starwave again, but they probably will because they're that fucking stupid Tokami should just revive permanently and join a new label, they just started doing great before Kiwamu murdered them. Coincidence, I think not If Google Translate isn't lying, they all say at one point or another "it's not due to personal reasons or creative differences"

    Piracy's role in visual kei

I have very, very mixed feelings concerning this topic, so all I say may sound confusing. I may sound cocky too, but you guys asked for opinions. I also tried posting this under spoiler but phone won't let me... Brace yourselves, rant is coming: Of course, just like any foreigner, I got into this thanks to piracy. Of course, I do download pretty much everything shared on the VK section, even if just to sample it and delete it half an hour later (I no longer hoard music I do not like). And, just like many people, I occasionally share rips because I know some people will enjoy them and some others might discover a band they will like and support. Yet I truly despise when my rips are shared outside of this community, even though my common sense (who usually sounds like Yuyo) dictates it's the right way to preserve and spread it. Maybe it is because here it stays within a community of people who also buy and share their rips and it feels more like an open trade. Key word: feels like. But feelings are not meant to be rational, right? I support about 10-12 active bands. A good portion of my salary goes towards VK. I make certain sacrifices in order to make sure my honmei can have their rice and redbull. Hell, I even pay people to get me goods at lives so they can get more money from me in a more direct way than buying second hand stuff. Maybe that is why I feel I 'earned' the right to trade rips of the bands I do enjoy yet don't love enough to include in my monthly spendings. And I feel people who share rips here kinda earned the 'right' to get my rips for free. Because they support the scene too. Sometimes I even dl rips from the bands I do buy from because I'll buy the release with the next paycheck or the following, or sometime in the future when I stop blowing my money on chekis (sorry, Diaura). Which is why it kinda bums me to spend hundreds of dollars on music, share it with people who also support the scene as far as their wallets allow it, and then it gets leaked to people who not only don't support the scene, but feel entitled to be given rips anyways 'because they love the band so much, omg they mah favez!!' I don't mean to say I am a better fan than they are, or a better person, or whatever. I'm probably a pathetic chick who blows her paycheck on asian drag queens who attempt to play metal instead of in... idk whatever shit regular people spend their money on. But it really gets on my nerves to read so many people on social media, especially Hispanics, viewing piracy as a 'right'. Demanding for HQ rips, whining about those 'fucking selfish japs/gringos who get everything and don't share fast enough'. Fuck you! If I buy a release I do not have the moral duty of posting it online. And in those very same communities I see a handful of people leeching, bragging about 'their collections' (virtual collections of course) and sharing our stuff just to make themselves popular. 'Look, I'm such a VK connaiseur because I have two hard drives filled with VK I got from MH. I'm a true fan cuz I have rarez. Now kiss my ass if you want me to share the rip I didn't even originate'. I know a dude who's considered the 'wikipedia of VK' because he's always talking about the many bands he knows and buys. Turns out he doesn't buy shit, he leeches from JpopSuki and here AND HE FUCKING CHARGES FOR IT. HE IS SERIOUSLY MAKING HIMSELF A NAME AND MONEY SELLING OTHER PEOPLE'S RIPS. AS HIS OWN. I understand the role piracy plays in the scene. I know it's exposure, and it helps spread the music and make bands popular. It preserves files online (though I've been all day looking for geek sleep sheep's albums and I cannot fucking find a decent rip, I swear). It also gives way to interesting discussions about music. But I also understand it fucking pisses bands off, many have told me so. It even pisses off western VK bands I know when they see their music up for grabs where they didn't post it. It's sorta disrespectful in a way, to say "yeah, man, I love your art but I ain't paying for it'. I have literally read those words online. I don't know if my point is even understood here... I've even defended piracy when talking to a few bandomen, saying that it actually promotes their music and gains them new fans. And I understand without piracy most of us wouldn't be here today. Boy, I really wish someone would share those Amai Boryoku live limited EPs. But I hate so much that downloads bring people here only to leech instead of for all the other amazing features this community has to offer. I hate that people outside of the community get popular or even get money spreading our rips without even mentioning Monochrome Heaven. I hate the way they talk about us when we don't share fast enough, like we owe them the rips. Like it's our duty to share the day before the release and in HQ... With so many bands posting their previews on youtube, full releases on Spotify and iTunes, is such an open piracy still necessary to promote the music they work so hard to make? (I refuse to use youtube and Spotify, I hate them, so I'm being cynical by just bringing them up myself). All the people who say 'I don't risk buying releases I don't know I'll like' can now hear the previews on youtube/spotify, right? I think I'd really like to keep the DLs here to the community and the people who contribute, so maybe people elsewhere will stop taking us for granted and have a solid reason to complain about us... I'm ready for the MH trolls to go berserk on my feelings and opinions. Keep in mind these are just rather irrational feels and opinions and that my opinions stem from my own experiences and my own reality, which is not the absolute truth and does not account for other people's experiences.
