  1. I wanted to hate Bebe when she was introduced, I was so ready to root against her, but I thought her runway performance was alright, so I'm okay with her... for now. Morgan definitely fucked herself over by blurting out her "I'm gonna send home the toughest looking queen" plan, so I'm totally okay with her being the first to go. Chi Chi's performance was so bland, when I saw it all I thought was, "um... interesting stage lights..." but hopefully she'll step up her game.

Chad and Alaska's Handmaid's Tale parody is everything

Yes, the South-Korean version is remastered, from what I know.

Have you heard it? If so, does it sound anything like the remasters on VESTIGE? Or more like the remasters on DECADE 2003-2007?

I'm guessing the mosaic'd parts are the girls chopping up the rapist boyfriend's body

Uncensored PV leaked on jps, and yeah that ^ is pretty much what happens during the mosaic parts. The boyfriend coughs up blood, goes down, the mother and daughter are just like, "welp okay then," mother chops up body, rips out guts/entrails and throws them in a bucket, daughter puts entrails in a blender, mixes it all up, and pours the mix into water bottles, yeah, fucked up shit right here

I recognise TO THE END OF SCREAM, IIRC that was also on a false DSS tracklist before the official one was revealed.

but omg... DOPING ZONE and GOVERNMENT PIG, and LI DE RA what the fuck 🤦‍♂️

I think I’m going to work on my own version of Vestige of Scratches tonight. I want to see what exactly I would put on my own best album.

I’ll call it “Traces of Boo Boos”

I did the same, except I called my VESTIGE playlists "VESTIGE OF ASSES"

Wait wait wait... I refuse to believe more fans voted for Maggots over Ryoujoku no Ame... wtf.

Still taking issue with Dozing Green’s placement. Closer to Marrow or whatever, but Clever Sleazoid is in the same situation.

Either the fans that actually voted have considerably poor taste, or the band threw out a few votes. I like both songs, but if I had to choose between the two, I'd choose 陵辱の雨.

I'm trying to remember why I didn't vote. Did I not know about it until after the polls closed? Did I just not give a shit? 'cause I'm really wishing I did vote. If I did, I'd have more of a right to bitch about the song selection.

DOZING GREEN and CLEVER SLEAZOID should have swapped places on the tracklist. Not only is it more chronological (especially since SLEAZOID is the single version, released 6 months after Wtd.), but it flows better. I mean, not that tracklist flow mattered in the slightest here... I'm done ranting for the 432,000th time. Disc 3 is a joke. I'm shutting up now.

Really? Why don't you like it? :(

I think it's one of the best of M-ology, it's one of the most MERRY song of the album (because of the "oldie" punk sound of it) imo

I don't hate it anymore, I just did the first couple times, but I went back to it and it's alright. I've always liked the energy and the "oldie punk sound" of it, but at first I just couldn't stand the main riff, but it's fine now. It's not my favourite on M-OLOGIE (that one is a tie between 犬型真性MASOCHIST and 傘と雨), but still enjoyable.

  8. Eh, I was hoping for an album announcement by now. And wait a minute... 脳壊す (which is actually romanised as Nou Kowasu)... that more or less means SMASH THE BRAIN. Are they really gonna rerelease that song as a single, or will it be a new song? Really hoping it’s a new song and the title is a coincidence (like what R指定 did with 青春はリストカット), ‘cause I don’t  like STB.

No no, my mistake, I didn't explained it right

It doesn't sound on cellphones when played without earphones, it's the other way, on the phone's speaker

    (damn my english is rusty)

edit: I tried on different phones and just the noises from the intro are there. Maybe the guitar part was recorded in mono (?)

If the guitar was recorded in mono, it should have sounded through mono speakers. When playing audio through mono speakers, (or playing through headphones with mono audio selected), a lot of little things you can hear through stereo sound are gone, but anything mono still remains. I don't know what the science is behind it, I'm no audio engineering expert, and I don't feel like I'm doing a great job explaining this. Another thing to note, is that some smartphone speakers (and small size speakers in general) only have mono sound.

I know this had been touched on previously but what's new exactly with this album? I'm just trying to get some sort of comprehensive list so I can condense everything onto one disc for ease XD

-Vulgar tracks, WTD tracks, and Umbrella seem to be remastered. How about everything else?

-Non-album songs seem to be the single versions if I'm not mistaken? (I've never listened to Clever Sleazoid in this form but it's tasty!)

-Disc 3 can pretty much be deleted immediately as it is made up of remakes and recent tracks.

     - Everything (other than the re-recordings) was remastered, but VULGAR/Wtd. aside, the differences are very subtle.

     - Using the single version of 脈 before 理由 was kind of strange, they should have just used the album version. Child prey is the album version, not single version

     - Disc 3 is problematic; only a handful of the songs are terrible, but only less than half I would have voted to include on a best-of album

On Disc 1, 太陽の蒼 and ain't afraid to die could have just been replaced by MACABRE (the song), and if there was still room on the CD, add in the original 羅刹国.

My problem with Disc 2 is that they tried to cram in songs from 4 different albums. What I think they should have done is use that disc for just VULGAR/Wtd./MARROW, and put UROBOROS tracks on Disc 3.

I made alternative tracklists for each disc, and here's what I picked for Disc 3:

    Spoiler

    THE BLOSSOMING BEELZEBUB

    DIFFERENT SENSE

    VINUSHKA

    激しさと、この胸の中で絡み付いた灼熱の闇

    GLASS SKIN

AMON (Symphonic version, sue me bitch)

    禍夜想

    LOTUS

    Revelation of mankind

    輪郭

    凱歌、沈黙が眠る頃

    DOZING GREEN

    THE FINAL 2013

流転の塔 <- this song not making the tracklist is a crime

I refuse to believe that anyone voted for utafumi, OBSCURE 2011, or Sustain the untruth.

  11. Okay, FJ what the fuck. I instructed everything to be in one shipment, what the fuck is this 2 shipment nonsense? ARE YOU TRYING TO DRAIN MY CHECKING ACCOUNT? Well, what a stupid fucking question of course you are, or why else would you split what I instructed as one shipment into two without my instruction?

OMG if I knew they were gonna pull this bullshit, I would have instructed separate shipments, motherfucker.

And I can't choose FedEx because for some reason, FedEx won't ship goddamn food, so I have to pay EMS, which is ¥4,500 PER SHIPMENT

    ......

But on the plus side, I have zero other FJ fees, nothing but EMS charges, since I bought everything from Rakuten

Still though, Fuck You for the ten thousandth time, FROM JAPAN!

Now send me my goddamn KitKats

  12. The only remasters on VOS that sound significantly different are -I'll-, the tracks from VULGAR, Withering to death., and UROBOROS (kind of, they sound much better than the 2012 remasters.). I really wish they'd have just remastered all of VULGAR and Withering to death.

I'm not digging the new Beautiful Dirt or THE IIID EMPIRE. I would have been just happy with remasters of those two. And speaking of re-recordings, including the DSS/UNRAVELING-era re-recordings was offensive, especially OBSCURE. But I still love the new 腐海!

  13. Their look has been updated for the 4-man tour with BugLug, vistlip, and R指定 FALSE ALARM, NO IT HASN'T THEIR JUST USING AN OLD LOOK TO PROMOTE A TOUR BECAUSE THEY'RE DUMB, ALSO SEI IS A DRUNK IDIOT

    DTBRShZVwAImDHT.jpg

They look... sort of less hideous with some updated hair styles and doing away with those embarrassing Yu-gi-oh NARUTO headbands. They should have gone with this look to start with, and fired whoever styled them in the first look.

  14. Holy shit I am actually in love with the new 腐海!!

I'm still not expecting anything incredible with IIID EMPIRE or Beautiful Dirt, but still wanna hear them. And I actually didn't know the other tracks on this were remastered, but actually hearing the teaser vids with my headphones, I can notice the difference (saku, ゆらめき). My opinion on VOS is turning around and I'm starting to get interested. I still think I could have come up with better tracklists for the CDs, and maybe they could have re-recorded some more (older) tracks, but who knows, maybe after a listen or two of the full thing I'll agree that the selection they chose perfectly captures the band's essence ... or something.

And I'm also betting this won't end up on iTunes. If I had to guess, it's 100% because of pre-VULGAR material, and their label must be adamantly against digitally distributing such material for whatever reason. This is speculation on the grounds that DECADE 1998-2002 did not make it to iTunes, but DECADE 2003-2007 did (but I don't know if it's still there).

    Second link: http://the-gazette.com/discography/331.html

    Third link: http://the-gazette.com/discography/322.html

First and third links are different versions of the same live release (first DOGMATIC TOUR finale, 2016/02/28), the second link is actually a documentary of their DOGMATIC world tour.

Get the first link! It might be DVD only (no Blu-ray option womp womp), but it comes in a 12" package with a photo book and another tour documentary. I held a copy when I was in Japan, but wouldn't have had room in my luggage, so I didn't buy it sad.
