Wonder if the tracklists for the 2 albums will be entirely different, i'm assuming they most likely won't be cuz i'm not sure they have enough songs for that lol

Actually, the tracklists for both versions are entirely different. They're on the OHP: http://keel.tokyo/DISC.html

There are a total of 12 songs that do not appear on either version:

    Spoiler

    Water lilies
    禍人
    パレード

    Ella
    ラプンツェル

    deep sleep

    接吻
    禁忌

    午後の射殺

    クラッカー
    LEM

    Over

It's like they intentionally left out at least one song from each release.

  2. Title translations

  3. GROTESQUE, RENATUS, SENSE OF EMPTINESS, and A FOOL are what I'm most looking forward to. FIVE is alright, but it sounds out of place. Don't really care for the chorus in FAITH, but everything before it sounds great. I rolled my eyes when I heard the laugh at the end of EXIST.

  4. I expected something darker than this. I don't know why I expected this band to make an album with a consistent theme, but I did. I'm actually not sure if SHAMBARA and 毒廻る will fit in. But then again, this is all just chorus previews, who knows how the rest of the songs will sound. Definitely digging the first and last tracks. Their albums are always scattered as hell.

Also, they're putting the album up on iTunes early? That's... different! Usually if anything from SPEED DISK goes on iTunes, it's several months later.

Went to go preorder at Amazon Japan and they won’t ship it to the US.

    THE FUCK?!

It's not supplied by Amazon. It's from some third party seller called ネヤガワ文芸堂. Pre-orders that are directly from Amazon will be up eventually, I'm sure

Keep in mind that 99.99% of Amazon JP third party sellers don't ship internationally. Even if their items are marked as "fulfilled by Amazon." It wasn't always that way, though. There was a time when marketplace sellers fulfilled by Amazon would ship internationally. So many things I regret not buying.

  6. I thought it was okay. They look disgusting here, I have a lot of complaints about the music, and I don't like where they're going, but I don't wanna give up on them, at least not until they release another album.

I don't like the key change, I am so tired of BP bands doing key changes in every song, it's stale as fuck. My other complaint is one I don't think I could describe well: I wish they would be more subtle with the MIDI traditional/folk arrangements. There's way too much going on, the fake instruments are not complementing the real ones, they're just distracting.

Is there a way to get a HQ audio file for the Falling MV without resorting to ripping from YouTube? I was so underwhelmed by the album version despite cranking the volume up in my car. This is 'Dir en grey album version of a single' type fuckery.

The version on their OHP is 256kbps AAC, which I currently have. The DVD/Blu-ray with the PV should have the original 'single version' in lossless audio. Whenever it leaks, I'll make a rip and do some editing, to make sure it transitions properly with the surrounding tracks.

I have to wait on the DVD/Blu-ray rips leaking online to do this, because I got the Blu-ray version. I'm pretty sure my optical drive that I bought in 2015 for $20 doesn't take Blu-ray discs.

  8. I’ve been in Japan for two weeks and, well, this happened

The regular edition of cali≠gari TURN-3 was bought before I realised the limited edition was available at littleHEARTS, so that’s ¥2,000 wasted.

Something about being in Japan makes me feel like hunting cali≠gari...

When I bought the umbrella album I had a brief encounter with the band members themselves. I didn’t recognise them until they said who they were, they were wearing no makeup and two of them had surgical masks. I was too shy to talk to them but it was still really cool to see them hanging around Closet Child Harajuku!

  9. I gave up on hoping for long songs haha. It appears I should give up on hoping they don’t throw in intro tracks as well, that seems to be a thing RUKI won’t stop doing

This album is gonna be roughly 42 minutes long? Damn, that might be their shortest full-length.

While I am expecting something great, I’m not expecting any surprises. IIRC they didn’t even start writing the album until after they announced it

Is there any need for an album when they release 4 new songs every 3 months?!

I can't speak for anyone who quoted my post, but I prefer albums over singles. I'd rather get 12 songs that all go together as one unit every 1-3 years, instead of one song with three random b-sides every 3-4 months.

This will be their fifth single since WOLFMAN. Since BP bands always only put 11 tracks on an album (plus one bonus track), and each album usually includes every recent single, an entire half of the album will (most likely) be singles.
