    checked a video file last night, everything's working fine, it plays the whole thing, no problems. put it up on mega, it errors. try again, it uploads fine but then the file itself is suddenly way corrupted ?? ? 🤔 Did mega somehow mess up the file 🤔

    tried ripping these kizu dvds with different programs and maybe im just a dumbass but nothing work, alot of stuttering, white noise, clippings, fucked up audio, etc ill just leave this for tmrw or something

      It's criticizing middle aged bandmen (pro musicians) who were against japan's government/claiming to be anarchists/all that rock and roll stuff, who are now hypocritically begging Abe for money. Music is a high risk/high reward game so he's saying these times are what they should have expected being experienced musician and that they should step up and inspire their fans to dream in these troubling times (despite being middle aged/going nowhere with dead dreams themselves) using the power of determination or something. That's what public figures are supposed to do and if they can't do that they should quit music because this begging is pathetic.

      It's incredibly blunt and aimed at a very specific audience but it's a fun read (as expected of Akane).

    This RIKUGO (六合) album JYOUSAIBANKI (饒彩万輝) is freaking incredible. May end up as my favorite album this year. It's almost like someone took MUCC, Kagraa, and M and tossed them into a blender. But it has its own sense of style too. It's great.

    Currently halfway into 零[Hz]'s ZELM and positively surprised. Wasn't expecting anything from them after the first releases, this one is much better

    I know it came out a few months back but Chanty's most recent mini is really good, much better than the album. I feel like they're much better in short bursts.

    people can make all the comparisons they want and its pretty much justified since all the members are huge  diru fanboys, especially Sho, but CHEDOARA is still better than anything diru have ever done

    Anyone got a reliable guide / app for ripping DVD to iso? I want to share the KYTK DVD but I haven't done anything with DVDs in years and can't seem to find anything other than 'imgburn'.

    Which most downloads for it now are full of adware/viruses, that and or a lot of YT guide vids in Hindi lol. There's also poweriso but it's 30$.
    Basically, I've got no idea.

      You'll want to download the one dated 2016-12-09 and then you should be fine. Hope that helps.

      Coincidentally I watched this video just before. He was talking about how they weren't popular when they started and people just turned up at the show and unenthusiastically went home immediately afterwards without talking to them. Then he talks about when he felt like quitting the band because his mom had an accident and his dad told him to quit the band.

    Just found out merry go round's 幻覚α波 is on japanese itunes but when I try to log into my account it says 'this user is inactive'.

      Man itunes didn't help me and making an account requires updating itunes/my operating system.

      And Amazon music sends me into an infinite loop when trying to use my credit card. If only japan didn't make it so hard to give them my money. I'm actually mad.

    Is there something wrong with Yunisan lately? It's the best site to keep track of old Visual Kei bands but now I can't find some bands. I could swear NéiL's discography was there before.

      It works if you access the band's page through googling band name +yunisan (at least for me). The main list page doesn't work though.

    Maybe I'm just getting old and this is cliche. But I feel like visual kei is in an awful state right now. I can count the amount of active bands I give a shit about on one hand. I hope that changes in the foreseeable future. Maybe it's just a down year idk.

      DOF and Buck-Tick's albums have been the standouts for me so far. Other stuff I've liked in sort of decending order: albums from Chanty, Emmuree, Marco, GazettE, Scapegoat's best of, Neverland. Kizu's single was good too and the llll ligro song.

       

      Other potential good stuff coming up:

      - Umbrella's album

      - Dimlim's album could be good based off the pv track which is great

      - Jiluka's new album

      - Morphine's best of

      - Kizu single and hopefully album

      - Diaura going back to their early style

      - new ZigZag stuff

      - Mamireta if you're into that

       

      But I can understand being negative because I felt the same last year, the only stuff that I really liked was Gibkiy's album and ZigZag's mini's.

    I just remembered UVERworld exists again and I looked them up and apparently they are still selling really good. I wouldn't be surprised if I do the same thing in 10 years time and see them still selling 100k.
