So basically him and Koichi are legit married now right?

damn no one came out looking good from the mejibray disbandment I mean it's not good even for what it is. This is the sort of shit that plays in dentist's waiting rooms or in mom's car while picking up the kids from football practice. It's fucking trite and that's the saddest thing about it. fuck my life tzk why did you do this to me

satsuki's chart success inspired ha! my heart lowkey goes out to the noname mejibray roadie who had to haul the piano in the woods just so this shitty video could be recorded

Yeah the weirdest thing about him is how fucking hard he went at the lives, in the lyrics and the music and allegedly in his personal life; and then all he wanted to do all along was to play baroque covers.

The writing was on the walls for awhile; I literally ‘jokingly’ guessed this back as far as January. Tsuzuku used to go on tirades on those tweet-casts about why people actually liked visual kei and kept referring back to jpop, like, “Why is Arashi so bad? Jpop is awesome. Why do you only listen to visual kei? Is it just for the make up?” (Obviously this is super abridged.) And I remember wondering back in the November of 2016, “well why are you doing visual kei then?” I’d heard from other people that his anti-visual rants dated back way further than that. It’s like I don’t want to be pegged as close minded for not giving it a chance, because I am. I like a lot of genres of music, and I’m super invested in Tsuzuku as an artist. But it’s super weird to hear him use his voice like that, and it’s not like I hate it, but I don’t love it. And I’m not just a face fan that will just love anything he puts out because it’s him. I just hope that this leads to more experimental pieces in the future since Tsuzuku himself likes so many different kinds of music. I want to believe he won’t limit himself. Otherwise it’s kind of a waste.

Wow this is just embarrassing. It's just so weird how Tzk would sing so many emotional songs with deep af lyrics and then churn out something this soulless. Kinda lost all of my respect for Tzk in general. He would say stuff like he would die if mejibray disbanded so I honestly thought music meant a lot to him. This is just a low-effort cash grab from their pretty boy obsessed fans.

Well the reception youtube seems to be overwhelmingly positive. This pretty much proves all the negative stereotypes about their fanbase lol I refuse to believe a person who fucks with Sou to utsu to kyoukai and Distance.exe would ever fuck with this

i gave it a go! btw, for you and anyone else who browses this section and might need to know, there's a site that can extract lyrics from some of these sites with text in a flash container so it can't be copy pasted. rocklyric isn't supported, but utamap and others are, if you ever need it: https://franklai-lyric-get.appspot.com/ --- torn telegram music/lyrics: ao sakurai —so quiet my ears won't stop ringing. time for silent prayer. tears must live behind the words i'm tired of hearing.— there's a stranger i know very well. a child squats and looks at him. "but who might this person be? but who might this person be?" —i told you! the nostalgic cruelty that quietly torments me when happy memories start overflowing. the transience attached to life, is the present a prophetic dream i had one day? "but who might this person be? but who might this person be?" —my past self is watching. smiling, i bit through my mouth and answered. in the warm darkness stained with the light stippled through tree leaves, the deep red world acknowledges all. the lifeless telegram on the table, still ripped, screams for me! "i want to go home!"

This is embarrassingly sad. Yes, I've had my issues with Mejibray but I was expecting to see something similar to their Mejibray style or at least metalcore oriented. Looks like they really couldn't hold it together musically without their main songwriter, Mia.

This song was embarrassingly bad LMAO. I'm not even mad it's a pop song. I'm mad because it's a shitty pop song. You all couldn't have come up with any different chord progression to use? + I don't know if it's just me, but the mixing sounds really... off. Even though Tsuzuku sounds incredibly soulless (with the exception of that one note at 1:47), I do have a feeling that if TZK was the only one singing, this song wouldn't be nearly as terrible. Unfortunately, he's not the only one singing, so I can't afford to ignore his tone-deaf companion! Koichi sounds so horrifically nasal I started furrowing my eyebrows and almost started grinding my teeth. With how skilled of a lyricist TZK is, the lyrics somehow makes this song even worse. It's not even what the song's about, it's just how poorly they're written (especially when put in comparison to MEJIBRAY's lyrics). This has to be some sort of joke.

My problem with vk in general after seeing many lives over the last years. There is the image of a bandmember that is created and there is the real bandmember that shins through when you talk to them/listen to the MC live. Always shocked how many "dark", "depressive" or "heavy" bands are just in fact cheerful guys that love pop music and probably play heavy music because its "cool".

iirc last time this excuse was big in most diehard miyavi stans circles when he went with the wedding song/adult baby lullaby repertoire it didn't really work out that well x

They're probably just testing the water. Remember when BABOO was baby-kei? Now they're dark-kei. I'm just trying to stay positive.

Absolute garbage. And Koichi can't sing for shit, the autotune makes it sound even worse. Tsuzuku's voice was always bad so no changes there. What a disappointment.

This wholesome boy aesthetic is LAME. I need tzk screams killing my ear drums and blessing me with dark lipstick. There is hope for mejibray members... We still don't know how Meto sounds as a vocalist. He could be the savior of vk.

I'm not surprised about them going full blown k-pop tbh. There were some pretty big hints. Definitely not for me.

@merchenticneurosis I use to watch Style council from the Cure DVD's. They have actual Visual kei artists on there getting their hair/make-up etc done. There are some vids on Yt, not many though. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=oEY9_0PZE3w

    Favorite box sets

I don't have many box sets, so I don't have much of a reference, but these are all cool: Chu Ishikawa - Tetsuo Complete Box: it's basically just a hard slipcase with the discs and a booklet inside. Works for me. BOØWY - BOØWY COMPLETE: a thick-ass box with two fold-out disc holders housing 10 CDs in total (more or less their discography plus a disc of rare/unreleased stuff), adding a thick booklet with all the lyrics and some photos. BOØWY - "GIGS" BOX: okay, now're talking! A cool hard slipcase housing 8 DVDs (3 discs of the most complete footage of the "GIGS" CASE OF BOØWY lives that we're ever gonna get probably, plus 5 discs of bonus live, interview and documentary footage) and a beautiful mini-size hardcover reprint of the HYSTERIA photobook. BOØWY - "LAST GIGS" COMPLETE: these guys sure love their box sets (and so do I, lol). This 2-DVD set features extended footage from the band's final two gigs, a beautiful pamphlet and mini-size reprints of the band's BOØWY HUNT fanclub magazines. This and the "GIGS" BOX are my fave box sets. Shiina Ringo - MoRA: If you're like me and you're only really into her "classic" first three albums this one's perfect. 4 CDs (the first three albums plus a single), a thick-ass special booklet, various stickers and cards, plus a poster, all housed in a sturdy deluxe casing... that plays a short audio of Shiina's voice when you slide it open (yes, you read that correctly, lol).

The GazettE - NINTH [REVIEWS THREAD]

It's a VK album in a long while that I literally like every single track. Their sound has completely moved on from the project Dark Age but still very the GazettE-ish. IMO, according to the quality, most of the songs could have even been released as a single. Hand down one of the best recent VK releases. ¥O$HIKI, your turn is next.
