  1. man, I wish someone would translate Yuki's tweets. I love that dude, would be awesome to know how he's coping with his disease, how he's been doing now that his condition has improved and such

  2. Don't you guys find furi weird as shit? I can sorta understand that in bubblegum oshare and all, but when bands are dropping the most brutal shit on stage and fans are calmly waving their hands like conducting an orchestra frustrates the hell out of me

      platy

      It's weird.

      It's also fun.

(I draw the line when fans all kneel on the floor and start doing the worship move where you you raise your arms and bring them down. Looking at you 0.1g gosan...)

@123Sandman321 My elaboration is that THIS IS MY EXPERIENCE amoingsnt the western metal scene that have always told me that "nah, vk can't be as cool or hc or same level that western metal" or whatever :P For you it might be different but i have always heard these ignorant and uncultural opinions about japanese bands because "they are from japan". I hear this everyday in Finland, so maybe we are fucktards, who knows..  Also i think my sentence might have been too ferocious, so i apoligize!

@platy I actually did this at MEIDARA's live, but it was not "worship", we were meant to be down and headbang :P Same with UNDER FALL JUSTICE, but with them it was only holding the hands together like "a cult" kind of thing.

I liked DOGMA, but it was a really narrow scope. There are a few songs on this album that in all honesty has everything DOGMA had and leaves room for some of these self-worship back-to-our-roots songs. It's not all hits but it's actually more recognizable as the band I thought was special back in 2006

Both the metalcore sound and that pop punk-type sound shining through on Unfinished are simply played out at this point, there isn't really anywhere to take it anymore imo... I think 裏切る舌 is my favorite track in the end

      Y'ALL TOO MAINSTREAM

I'd choose True Blue over Rosier mainly because I believe it aged much better. Rosier seems to be much more a product of its time... maybe it's the overexposure, I don't know

@nostalgia Yeah, Tonight is my favorite aswell, above everything else! that song is freaking timeless!

    3. saishuu

      saishuu

ROSIER, easily. I strongly disagree that ROSIER didn't age well and have this performance to back me up:

it's my favorite single aswell! every track is killer, back in the days, hikari stuck in my head for so many months... they really went out with a bang!

  12. THOMAS was really an interesting band, wasn't it? To this day I believe Namida Iro Laboratory should've gotten more attention than it did

LEZARD burnt me out w/ Lime's voice, and imo his voice still doesn't fit Kizu.
Sho is really talented, and surprisingly a fantastic live singer.

Both are objectively good, but I subjectively prefer DIMLIM.

    3. Komorebi

      Komorebi

I heard both live and Kizu are entretaining to watch. I enjoyed them more than DIMLIM. But I've always preferred clean singing over such a high % of screaming.

Sho does scream better than the average noodle, I'll give him that.

Eh. Definitely my least favorite Kanye album.

(I hope these ~25 minute, 7 song albums a la Ye and Daytona catch on though... so many albums are just so bloated, especially in hip hop.)

Lyrically I find the whole album really weak, but It's kinda of a grower, musically. My first thought it was a very good album for your regular industry artist, but being Kanye we always expect greatness, so for him it was just good. But I'm getting really great vibes from Ykes, Wouldn't Leave, No Mistakes and Ghost Town, so I'm kinda betting on it on the long run. There's something he does when producing for himself that you rarely finds elsewhere, and that really talks to me

And I super agree, the short albums are GREAT and it's indeed looking like a trend. It can work greatly for some artists, indeed!

  15. man, PTP were really on the top of their game when K unfortunately passed away. Years passed by and I'm always blown away by the tracks he sang on gene

  16. lmao theres people camping in front of the livehouse miyavi is playing here in Brazil, on SATURDAY. To hear that shit he's now pulling out of his ass. goddamn people, whats wrong with ya

I feel you. I'm not so deep in yet as to know behind the scenes on his projects, but through musical output alone, I think he's a special vkei vocalist and frontman.

  18. Eins Vier self cover album is so nice! I don't know if any of the tracks is stellar or anything, but there's such a fun, fresh, summery feel in it, it's definitely an album i'd play on a car trip or something

  19. VERY BERRY's "Zero" is so much ❤️

  20. Trick×Trap is the best Acme song, period. Here's hoping for more in that vein on their new album

  23. Neverland new album is really great. They've been lowkey the best neo-oshare band around for a couple of years, that's for sure.

  24. Man, Akira is such a great vocalist. Makes me wish this MIRAGE revival were to actually resume formal activities. I would even put up with kisaki's regular bullshit to see Akira getting more exposure to his other projects

They keep adding shows they're performing at, so I'm hoping a formal~semi-formal MIRAGE revival is in store as well.
