Gossip's last album is so good that I can't even feel the disbandment. Different than Kuroyuri, which basically became a session band for almost 2 years and left us all craving for more.
-
Got fascinated watching early Depeche mode ,sioux, the smiths and other shows from the 90's, they seemed so wild,so vivid and not caring at all. And all these bands were supposed to sound "soft", compared to most of the current western shows I've watched from bands that intend to look tough, evil and brutal but their performances are just "disconnected" and extremely boring.

I'll be always grateful to vk artists for allowing me to discover the post punk scene while introducing some of their most memorable artists and works.
I have the same opinion of yours, and also feel the same way respect the vk scene nowadays. Original VK (even when it wasn't called that way) imported the same "ethos" of post punk; thus the classics acts still sound fresh and genuine despite having 20 or 30+ years old, and in the other hand, newer acts can only become more and more industrialized, to the point of looking ridiculous when looking for the attention of kogal and young girls obssesed with anime and game characters. So VK as a canal of true artistic expression, with its charge of social inconformism, like post punk was, is pretty much dead.

Grieva,Kuroyuri and Gossip were the holy Trinity of the old school vk in modern vk.Now everything is officially gone.

Gulu Gulu's MV preview sounds like R-shitei and DADAROMA had a baby, what was that...

i am SERIOUSLY waiting for the remastered version of The Insulated World.
-
I don't get NETFLIX, they have the part 3 of some horror movies, but they lack the part 1 and 2.no good classics, very disappointing
-
I doubt that, but would be nice if KarasunaMei come up with something more Gibkiy-ish or Sukekiyo-ish. His voice is more than proper for it.
-
I felt strangely spellbound listening to GROTESQUE and Malformation on CHEDOARA.took me to my "emo" past, when metalcore was my addiction
-
I guess now we just need Ex GossiP members coming back at some point of 2019 to complete the party.
-
i hate april and my birthday as much as i hate december, christmas and new year's eve. usually i manage to buy something really cool for myself in order to forget it,but since i can't afford the thing i wanted right now,i just can wait for the end of it.

I have a good feeling about NAZARE,and even more excited for the result of Seiya's departure from DEVILOOF. He's the magician of riffs!
-
I have a problem in my left eye,and now I have to cover it.at least I'm feeling like a Karma cosplay
-
I have no patience for GTA but RED DEAD really seems to be my thing. Shame that Rockstar never made a sequel for Manhunt 2
-
RDR is one of the most boring games I've ever played. Not quite as boring as Assassin's Creed, but not too far away tbh. I'm a big, big fan of westerns and especially spaghetti westerns, so I do actually love the concept and atmosphere in the game. But the game play itself makes it into a massive snoozefest. Doesn't help that it's among the easiest games I've ever played either.

I need more MEIDARA stuff, now!!
-
I really like NAZARE's vocalist.Their album is confusing,but it's not forgettable,I remember every track,thx to Mio's potential.Now they just need Issei out.
-
@Duwang yea,for a debut,Mio did a really good job, there's a catchy chorus in almost every track and his gutturals are pretty decent, but the composition...so many dissonances, the piano and synths stepping on each other,Mio's exaggerated falsettos. They need to chill out
-
@Komorebi now it's out

I think I need to buy really really high quality and expansive headphones to enjoy The Insulated World properly. Cuz that mix is awful
-
Good headphones only call attention to the shoddy mixing.
This album is really hit or miss. Ignoring the mixing, I think that some of the songs are good. A lot of people think otherwise, and understandably so.
It really just depends on your taste and how well you're able to ignore the awful mixing.

ROPPU HAS FORSAKEN US

IGM_Oficial and Manji 卍 reacted to this

And without faith it is impossible to please Roppu, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.

I wanted to create a topic to talk about some "dark issues",but i'd probably get censored, and sometimes i forget that this is a music forum, after all...
-
exploiting such issues are too inappropriate for a forum like this.
it involves alcoholism, self harm, social phobia, death of relatives, suicide, etc.i don't wanna look like someone trying to get attention, like: "why is this guy saying such stuff"
i know, when you writte sad things on internet, somehow you want to be noticed,
and at the same time take a load off your shoulders.even annonymous,it is embarrassing.
i'll try to be as coherend as possible with the forum's policy while i speak out my mind,
cuz making texts is better than hurt myself sporadically.
i wouldn't come up with any story of mine, now i just thought about some serious thread, basically like the random thoughts thread, but only for "depressive" stuff.
(sorry for the big text)

I wish I was part of anything related to music professionally, cuz music is the only thing that I care or that makes me feel alive.
-
Yes go for it, formal lessons for anything are...optional unless you're being a surgeon or something.
Take it from someone who's wasted the past seven years and just now took the initiative to make use of my art. The only thing you can really have is regret, and you don't want that shit on top of everything else that sucks. Just push for whatever you're most passionate for cause it's all that matters really. -
@Manji 卍 That's awesome! Guitar is an amazing instrument. Like the others have said, you should totally go for it. Music is a great way to express oneself, so don't let anything stop you from doing that.
As for resources, along with YouTube and books, there are many online sites with free guidance on how to read music/play acoustic guitar. There are also many sites that have free guitar scores for practice. When you start learning and ever need any help reading music, then don't hesitate to ask. (I'm not an expert on the guitar, but reading music is the same for all instruments.)
-
You can also produce music without knowing how to play anything. I have three projects going on at the moment (metal/punk/surf/rock/rap with a friend, electronica and rap), and I can't play shit. Hell, I can barely use a computer. But that's not a big problem in 2018. For the stuff requiring actual instruments I just write riffs on my computer (using guitar pro), add bass/drums/synth/whatever in the program and get people I know to record it for me/us.
Very easy. So anyone can become a musician in 2018. Not everyone can live off their music as that requires both skills and plenty, plenty luck, but everyone can have it as a hobby.

I wished the UnsraW albums had the same production of VULGAR or withering to death. That would be perfect!
