Gillette knows damn well what they did and the context that they did it in. It's all about raking in those dollary-doos from exposure, ad-revenue, and new customers who want to "stick it to Trump/alt-right" . (How many customers do you really "add" if Gillette is already the go-to for cheap to mid-tier manual razors? 🤔) Pepsi did this by trivializing BLM and earned a shit-ton of money from the ad. Gillette, BiC, Harry's, Philips and Dollar Shave Club all win here. 

The fact that we're talking about shaving cream on a visual kei forum means they win.

Nothing wrong with the message, but I'm not really a big fan of using subjects like this to cash in on. And the way I see it, they don't exactly give the subject matter the respect and attention it truly deserves here. Feels like they're actually taking a serious subject that should be addressed further, and make it a lot smaller and less relevant than what it is.

It doesn't exactly help that the commercial itself is pretty bad. Looks like a cheap, no-budget and embarrassingly mediocre school project made by teenagers who's only done something like this a couple of times before.

That's what I thought at first. But as far as mediocre goes, it's top tier mediocre because it's dezert. 

I had a similiar experience. I actually liked it on some levels if I look at it as stand alone apart from some of their past releases.

They took a while to grow on me, too. I quite like them, now, but as their repertoire increases, it gets harder to tell their songs apart. It'd be better if they'd shake up the formula, somehow.

In Love With A Ghost and OMORI SOUND TEAM (for OMORI the game) fit ost/bgm/vgm. I'm subbed to the former on YT (where you can go down that rabbit hole.)

Perhaps [.que] (BRILLIANT HOPES) [OTOTOY has more of his tracks tho], Vanilla (Origin), NxxxxS (Fujita Scale), or Grant Ulysses (Asleep In The Sun) might be of interest?

Luxury Elite (world class) and Eco Virtual are more vaporwave-y if you like that type of stuff. 

Also gonna plug ano(t)raks, with their whole collection of artists (city pop, electronic, shibuya kei, etc.)

@colorfuljinseithank you!! Did you support omori when it was on kickstarter? The demo finally came out recently, but I didn't know about it back then. I'm just glad development is going somewhere! 

I didn't know much about it either until early last year when there was a Kotaku article about it (which was already long past the funding period). What's funny is I've known about OMOCAT for a long time via her Zelda comics, but never knew about the game. 

I enjoyed Undertale and Earthbound, so when OMORI does become publicly available I'd probably purchase it. 

Either:

A. Engineering audio for live tracks is really hard, and often expensive. Sound is more likely to distort, bleed is more likely, etc. So they probably can't afford to have a good enough sound engineer with the patience to process live recordings

B. They can't play for shit and have to cover it up somehow lol

C. Too cheap to film a regular PV

It's a huge mood killer, whatever the reason. These cheap mfs.

VK struggles: wanting both versions because you're a compulsive collector, but are broke af.

since nobody cares about pvs i sometimes go for them since whoever bought the regular edition will eventually upload it.....haha. not all pvs are up on youtube anyway.

but having more songs (including reading the lyrics) does have more value for the most part.

I like to get the PV edition because in D's case at least it comes with at least 20 minutes of making of and I get to see the guys fooling around, and those off shot videos aren't always posted on youtube, much less in decent quality.
