    Wanted to go back and check out some disbanded groups I missed out on and one of the first was lycaon but I just checked out their discographies thread here and holy fuck its huge. Can anyone just recommend an album or two from them

      I remember liking their first 2 singles + first mini-album. I think everything up until Royal Order is a safe listen? it started to go wrong with the EROS single, after that it's a wild ride

    Holy fuck Mama sounds way better than Morphine did. I'm pretty sure that's partially because Saki has input in their music, and by that I mean hes making them play old school Vkei lol

      laruku gets a bad rep in the west simply for being mainstream and ~not heavy, but they were fantastic (up until AWAKE in 2005 at least). don't listen to anyone who tells you otherwise. dune, heavenly, ray and awake are all great albums.

    Huh, was never super crazy about WANDS... Now that Mikoto (ジグザグ) is their new vocalist for their revival after 20 years, I might have to revisit them. It's been quite the journey from Ray°C to doing a Conan opening. Happy for him being part of this historic moment.

      in my case, they just got too repetitive and boring. their music was good for one album, two at best, but then I didn't feel like listening to them anymore. sad to see how far down they went :(

      they were well on their way to be big and then... nothing happened. it was weird and I still don't understand what happened. they were playing in bigger livehouses with each tour (at least considering tokyo) and then no one cared about them anymore
