  1. I can't actually understand those lyrics because there are no English subs, but even if the lyrics are bad, one song isn't going to prove an ideology for thousands of people. Also... I'm sorry, but I am so confused right now. Should I bail from this thread? I might lurk.

  2. Sorry to post twice in a row in the same thread, but I had another weird dream about a J-rocker last night that I think is worth sharing.

I dreamt that Hitomi (ex-Moran) joined the infamous league of J-rockers who get found out for evading their taxes, only he didn't get found out by the police; he got found out by his friends. When they confronted him about it, he just broke down and started crying his eyes out, then he asked them for help before he got caught by the authorities, so props to him for that, I guess. Anyways, that crying must've been lucid because when I woke up, the entire left half of my face was stained with tears.

God, why am I so obsessed with Hitomi lately? Am I going through a phase?

I saw Dir en grey in Portland in 2008.  I was so stoked to finally see them and they were my favorite band at the time.  The show was really mediocre though. Aside from the crowd being filled with a lot of hardcore weeb girls, the band themselves just didn’t seem that into it.  After the show, Shinya and Toshiya were signing and bc of where I had been standing, I miraculously ended up being first in line.  At the time, I’d never had a CD signed before aside from handouts at local shows in my hometown that came in paper cases and I didn’t realize that I had to unwrap the CD before they’d sign it.  The bouncer told me to go to the back of the line, so I very quickly scrambled to open the wrap.  I managed to do it p fast, and Toshiya was laughing a little bit.  Idk if he thought it was funny or if I was an idiot.  Shin ya didn’t seem at all interested in anything.  I tried to thank him for signing the CD, but he just looked away and snubbed me.  After that, I kinda stopped liking Diru.  It felt like the magic was gone.  Tbh I’ll listen to their new music, but I always feel like I’m just not into it now.

That sucks. It's possible that he really is that mean, but I wonder if he was just having a bad day? I hope it's the latter. 😕

Man,the whole instrumentation of this band is absolutely BRILLIANT,those guys deserve to be applaused.But...Karma,why?His vocals... something is just "off" to me.That chorus was damn catchy again, but please improve your vocals.

    I agree 100%. I like the guitar a lot, but Karma sounds a bit like a pseudo-Yuuki (Initial'L/ex-Lycaon).

Also, I agree with the general consensus here that the cover art is fucking awful. It looks like if Salvador Dali made a Spore poster, which should be a good thing but it's not.

  5. Back when I was living with my family, we had a foxhound named Josie. She was absolutely beautiful, and because she had light blonde fur, she'd pretty much glow in the sunlight.

I took that picture from the Dogs Trust website ages ago because all the other pictures I had of her were on my old phone, which I don't have anymore. Good thing I saved it when I did, because I just checked back on their website and her picture's no longer there.

We got her in the summer, and we were all a little awestruck when we first saw her because her summer coat that year had a large white outline of a heart on her back. I don't remember if it was like that every year, but it definitely was that year. She was two when we got her (born April 20th, 2008... I still remember her birthday) and eight when we had to give her away (we got evicted). Never really got to say goodbye to her, but I hear she's with a new, loving family now, so that's a positive.

She was a funny dog; a bit daft, and liked to think she was a human (she would sit like one, try to express her emotions like one, etc). She was good at reading people to an almost scary level; she'd comfort them when they were sad more effectively than any human could, and she could even tell when they were about to be sick. When I was eleven years old, I got ill at school at around 11am and had to be sent home not long after. When my mother came to pick me up, she said Josie had been very anxious at around 11am but she calmed down when I got home.

Ahh, I could go on forever about old Josie, but I won't turn this soliloquy into a book. I've dragged this out long enough.

  6. Whenever I see a selfie taken in Hitomi (ex-Moran)'s house, I get jealous of how neat and tidy it is. Honestly, it's bloody immaculate, whereas I had to be taught how to mop properly today because apparently, I'm shite at cleaning.

There's something calming about a song that's full of melancholy and sorrow. Like a musical diary written by someone else for your own solace.

Agreed. Been a while since anyone posted in here, but whatever. I always find myself strangely drawn to sad music, even though I'm not particularly sad very often.

I've been listening to this song a lot lately. I first heard it ages ago, but I've been playing it on repeat recently. It's just so touching and emotive... plus, the video is gorgeous, as per usual with Moran.

This is one of the reasons I love music so much. Anything that can make sadness a desirable emotion is truly beautiful to me.

  8. I just use plain old Sony earphones from HMV. They cost £7.99 (I think?), they're hot pink, the sound quality's good and they last a long time. What more could I ask for? I don't like anything all fancy-schmancy when it comes to stuff like this. Also, they have the silicone buds which I need, because the ones without them just hurt my ears and are too big for them, anyways. I've never understood how people can find them comfortable without the buds.

I never use headphones because I always wear a bow and flowers in my hair, so headphones would just be awkward. Earphones all the way! Besides, you can just put earphones in your pocket.

I think the tweet stated they will continue for now with the 3 remaining members but ya not a good sign if 2 members have left in just half a year

Wonder what's making them leave so early? Maybe they're difficult to work with, or crappy management, or perhaps it's just an unfortunate coinkydink.
