Honestly, what sort of discussion is there supposed to be in relation to the OP?

Preordered a month ago. Amazon.jp just says “shipping soon” and estimated arrival is August 11-14. This is a problem, because none of that says it’s in my hands right now. 

Low key hoping Devote My Life has a refrain with the song title in the chorus, and the song slowly builds into Kyo squealing and changing it to “fuck my life”. 

I can say I don’t know what to expect from the new album. Even though the last two singles are the first time I’ve heard a new thing from this band and thought “oh, this sounds like something else they already did”. 

The live reports of the new stuff they’re playing don’t really tell me much. 

I remember the re-recordings being pretty bad. Fairy Times Memory sounded flat and lifeless. 

This time I’m guessing they’ll just raise the levels and make everything LOUDER. 

Age isn’t always a factor. There are plenty of drummers that play way heavier and more technical stuff than Shinya that are in their 50s and 60s. He’s not a blast beat guy or a fast double bass guy. He’s better at grooves and using innovative tom and cymbal work. He’s awesome when he does what he’s comfortable with, but as long as DEG insists on doing br00tal songs Shinya has to adapt as best he can.

Worst DEG album ever. I think this is it guys they’re going to kaisan soon. 

I mean Gazette might be consistent in terms of how they sound, but the songwriting varies from album to album. That’s generally what grabs people isn’t it? The songwriting? 

Like how many fucking times are they going to write Shiver and call it something else?

First major bump in Macabre is Hydra. That song should have been three minutes long tops. Basic, repetitive, boring, dumb lyrics. Ugh 

It’s interesting that Deity is on the Decade collection. Even more interesting that they cut out the intro. 

Take back what you said about Hotarubi. 

Kisou is definitely problematic in many ways despite all the love it gets. It sounds absolutely awful. No mids and barely any lows. Most of the fast heavy tracks sound like someone flushing static down the toilet. Jessica probably belongs at the very end of the album if it needs to be there at all.
