  1. It seems like Japan's current method is closing a bunch of shops on the weekends to tempt people to stay home lol i thought it was just the previous weekend but maybe all? Or depends on the place itself.

There are less people out than usual on weekends but people are still going about their business as usual. Trains are still crowded especially during rush hour and from 5pm-8pm. We are not prohibited from going out on the weekend. Police are not checking IDs and telling us to go home or whatever. Government continues to be useless as usual.

  3. these ~alternative versions of vanitas and 愛憎につき... in the live-dist single are sending me lmao what the fuck were they trying to achieve with those

Vanitas is a new thing but there's a story behind aizou ni tsuki...
Last December at the Metal Square event (Cazqui and Daichi's last live with Nokubura) they had really bad technical difficulties when they were about to play aizou, and since DIMLIM doesn't MC, Sho had to find a way to stall so he did an acapella version with Retsu making ambiance  with his guitar while Hiroshi was trying to fix shit but they couldn't recover in the end.

Pretty much that version of aizou is exactly what he did that day (plus adding in some yelling of "gomennasai" and other words of frustration) , though to be honest I'm kinda surprised they recorded it and released it. While Sho did a great job coming up with that shit on the spot and following through to the end, but that was NOT a good day for the band.

Maybe putting it on CD was a way for them to come to terms with happened that day, idk I can't say, but I do agree it's awkward to listen to. I think they should've added a little guitar at least.

  4. This saturday is that dimlim one man and also the final show with Taishi and Ryuya and dimlim have no more shows or anything announced after this. I wonder if theyll continue temporarily as a 3man piece like they did with the silent song, go on hiatus to find new members like dadaroma did or something else

      Duwang

There have been a couple of instances in the past year and half where they only had 1 live in their schedule. I'm sure they'll announce something at the oneman or sometime soon. I doubt they'll play in September unless they're at Summer Of Deception again, but October yeah no doubt.

  5. So, I'm planning a trip to Japan for october, for the full month, with possibilities of extending it to november as well. Yesterday I was looking at my playslist searching for names of artists I'd like to see live, and sadly realized 1) mostly of the bands I listen to are disbanded, 2) the only currently active bands I like don't seem to have any schedule listed in their OHPs for these months. The only bands that have any scheduled are Dir, R-shitei, Kiryu (a taiban)... and I have to stop counting. I'm dying to see Diaura, Kizu, Dimlim, but their live dates don't go further than september... I'm afraid that the only chance I'll have to travel to Japan in many years could be ruined by this fact...

So I may ask you who know the VK scene schedule dynamics: should I assume that the schedules now available are definitive ones?

    I read you!

I can help you with DIMLIM tickets btw. I sometimes have extras.

It's way too early for most bands to announce October lives. Wait another two months.

Give DIMLIM a little more time than that. They often announce lives barely a month in advance unless the band that invites them tends to announce things further in advance.

  7. now that we no longer have to wonder if the new DIMLIM is good (it's GRRRRREAT) i only have to wonder how long i will force my friends and peers to listen to me talk about it

I've been telling ya'll that for months lol

  8. I understand life gets busy and all, but "my phone fell in the toilet" is not an excuse for not shipping something for four months.

Some people just shouldn't do shopping service.

Pfff of course. I told you she's terrible. All she does is use people then blow them off when they're no longer of use to her.

  9. look, I'm not trying to be greedy, but c'mon, can't DIMLIM just hit us with a sample or teaser or MV spot or SOMETHING for this new single???

    1. Duwang

      Duwang

For their past two releases they posted PVs/previews after lives so my guess is either 5/24 or 6/2.
But tbh I feel like they do everything without much planning (if any) so it could be anytime.

I'm not very good at writing reports but I'll try my best.

My friends think Ryuya might play one song with Deviloof. I hope he does.

  12.

I was always curious about how come the pv for Diaura's "Lost November" got aprox 1.5 million views on Youtube around the time it was released. I mean, Diaura wasn't a bit of the huge band it is today, and even the songwriting is pretty basic in comparison to the levels of excellent Diaura achieved circa "Triangle".

In fact, I remember feeling really meh at it by that time; actually got into the Diaura hype a years after when "Sirius" was released.

    1. Duwang

      Duwang

Do they even play Lost November ? Cause I used to go see them all the time 5/6 years ago and I never once heard it live so I always assumed that the band doesn't like it very much.

  13. Listening to DIMLIM and wondering how Sho hits notes that high!

For anyone who’s seen DIMLIM live, does his voice live do the studio recordings justice or is there a difference?

    1. Duwang

      Duwang

There are a lot of live videos uploaded by fans on YouTube and Twitter if you want to check those out.

  15. I really like NAZARE's vocalist.Their album is confusing,but it's not forgettable,I remember every track,thx to Mio's potential.Now they just need Issei out.

    1. Duwang

      Duwang

I like Mio's voice and I wish I could get into them but I'm not a fan of the compositions. They have potential, but they need to boot Issei. They seem like they all get along, though, so idk when that's happening.

Sacci (Sayo) was in Souiumono and has a new thing called kaiga no kotowari https://www.kaigano-kotowari.com/blog
Nuppe (Denu) was also in Souiumono and now does sessions every once in a while? He hasn't updated his Twitter in two months so maybe he's slowly disappearing.
Urala is a band called Charles https://charles3mul.wixsite.com/official/profile
Ginga and Yusuke are long gone.

  18. Are any of the members of Panic Channel still active?

    1. Duwang

      Duwang

Tara (or whatever hes called now) is still active. Meguru has a twitter for Panic Channel he updates sometimes but hes not active in the scene as far as I know. Everyone else is long gone.

  19. Sometimes I listen to THE PIASS and I wonder if these guys will ever release something again... That would be cool

  20. I'm being "publicly shamed" by foreign gyas in Japan for dressing VK/goth for gigs and events instead of... however Japanese gyas dress.

It's the most ridiculous thing I have EVER heard.

  21. When I wanted to follow Taa-incho on twitter、 I never expected him to send tons of cute emojis。。i mean wow、i was Lulu fangirl years and years ago(ⓛ ω ⓛ *)

  23. Now I'm curious. If you sign to a VK label, do they have a stock of their own costume/fashion pieces for their acts to use/rent? Or do you need your manager to find thrift or costume rental outlet? Or maybe your label would hook you up to the outside source that they have a deal with? Hmmm.

    1. Duwang

      Duwang

In many cases bandmen can't wash their costumes so they don't.

  24. Who's the best drummer on the scene and why (what in his technique/style makes you think that)?

    1. Duwang

      Duwang

Not in VK anymore but Roji ex-XAA-XAA is by far the best drummer I've ever seen in the hundreds of vk lives I've been to.
Rai from Gigamous is up there as well.

  25. tepid shibuya ga taihen drama report: sick2 gya is banned from sick2 shows, but shows up to shibutai. fills the front row with colluding dadaroma gya who all stand stock still, and won't let any sick2 gya into the front row. talks during live/MC until Gene gets angry.

    1. Duwang

      Duwang

I wouldn't be surprised if she and her friends collaborated on getting a lot of hayaban or if she bought them herself and bribed the shikiris/colluded with them.

Makes me wonder if they invaded any other bands saizen. There were a bunch of girls in Amai Bouryoku's saizen who I'd never seen before. They were standing there doing nothing and looked confused as to what was going on so I wonder if they were in on it.
