  1. Nooooooo "The Inferno" is awesome :P

I think its placement in Arche might throw people off but I think it's a pretty great DSS style song.

I think "R to the Core" is the worst song they've written. Very much like "The Inferno" in Arche, it doesn't fit into Vulgar and it's a short little jam with ugly vocals. I also don't enjoy "beautiful dirt" and "pink killer".

"The Inferno" is like the latter songs, but I think they do it so much better now.

    EDIT

I also agree with "The Fatal believer"

On a side note, almost all of TMOAB is gold material to make misheard lyrics out of.

    Example

    Rotting Root

    F**k it's an owl!

  2. Maybe it's because I've heard it so many times now, but I can't imagine the transition between the songs any other way.

We can call the transition "Glass Man".

Does anyone remember when "Stuck Man" used to be called something like "Three times does the trick" or something like that? I think that's actually a part of the lyrics to the song.

  3. Speakin' of masterpieces and albums, I thought DSS was pretty good!

I mean, it really had to grow on me. ALOT. But I can enjoy it well enough now.

I haven't listened to it in a while, but still think Ruten no Tou is one of the best tracks the band has written ever. Such power in Kyo's voice.

The unplugged version is great too. My favorite part is near the end where it goes all major key.

What do people think of unplugged Dir en grey tracks? I generally love them.

    Favorite beings:

-namameki.... (The Marrow of a bone)

-The Pledge (The Marrow of a bone)

    -Undecided (Glass Skin)

    -Inconvenient Ideal (Uroboros)

    -Red Soil (Uroboros)

-Ruten no tou (Dum Spiro Spero)

    -The Final (The Unraveling)

And similarly, do people like Dir en grey remixes? I generally don't really like them, but they've had some good ones here and there.

    Favorites:

    -Zan D.P.Y. mix (Zan)

-ain't afraid to die ~with frosted ambience~ (ain't afraid to die)

-ain't afraid to die ~irresistible mix~ (ain't afraid to die)

-Rasetsukoku Za downtown funkmaster remix (kai)

    -Myaku 8 1/2 convert (kai)

-KR Cube K.K. vomit mix (kai)

    -Decayed Crow (Dum Spiro Spero)

    -Unraveling (Arche)

  4. I've been listening to their first album (I think), "long title with soup and cream", and I absolutely love it.

Ah they're so good! (I just wish their CDS weren't so rare and expensive...)

  5. Haha. Cuz you just know they're gonna up the creativity in the packaging from last time.

Seriously, I don't mind cashing out more for GazettE releases (albums at least) because they have the coolest packaging.

Although, I don't know about shelf storage (Beautiful Deformity and Division know what I'm sayin'?).

  6. Why is there no Dezert thread yet???????

    Vocal: 千秋-Chiaki-

    Guitar: キラ-Kira-

    Bass: SaZ

    Drum: SORA

I just started listening to them 30 minutes ago and I seriously regret not listening to them sooner.

They're so freaking heavy. Their music is harsh with loads of distortion and crunch, but they mix in nice melodies once in a while to balance things out. I would compare them to bands like early D'espairsRay, Deathgaze, AvelCain, and (I would say) even Kagerou.

The vocalist is probably one of my new favorites because of his diversity.

He has a singing voice sweet enough to be in a band like Sug, but his screams have bite and he can easily be compared to vocalists like Satoshi from Girugamesh.

I pretty much like everything I've heard (which isn't all their music), but tracks that have stood out to me so far are:

-「胃潰瘍とルソーの錯覚」 (ikaiyou to rousseau no sakkaku) *The video above

    -「変」(hen)

    -「秘密」(himitsu)

    So,

Whaddya all think of this band??? (I mean, from what people have said around the forum, I know they're generally loved).

  7. I also enjoyed Trend Killer the most.

Gain was pretty solid too IMO.

If we're going for their best releases not just albums, I really liked their first single as well "kokui....hana...that really long title".

I feel like they never wrote anything like this after oboreru sakana.

  8. I have a go-to person for buying goods from Japan.

I'm not sure if they do "going to lives" purchases, but I'll PM you their email address and maybe you guys can work something out.

He/she is really good with helping me get the things I want (usually yahoo, mbok, puresound (before you pointed out they ship overseas), etc.) and he/she has really good with communication.

Not sure if this will be a fruitful option, but good luck!

  9. Ryuujii: Good question. I took them out once and they're just simple wooden balls. I'm not sure why they're there though.

For Mucc's first release of Antique, they included a nail in the spine. As far as I can tell, it's just a nail they bought at their local store.

And it's not like it's a thing Vkei bands do either I think. It's kinda fun though.

  10. @@MikuKun

Well, this thread IS just for the release of "DOGMA".

People have already expressed their in-depth opinion of the album in the review thread.

This sort of discussion is better suited in the "artists" section anyways.

I personally enjoyed BD for what it was and am looking forward to Dogma, different musical direction or not, as long as they push themselves further. They're a talented group no doubt.
