I get in Vidoll moods pretty often and spend time going through their old stuff. Love that there's a sizeable group of people here who seem to do the same. Most of the major stuff was a snoozefest and missed the mark for me, but it's far more tolerable than a lot of other major vk acts at the time where. Jui's voice saved it from being truly garbage. Even though it was such a tiny set, I'm glad I got the chance to see them once before the disbanded. I held on to that candy Rame threw at us for YEARS. Finally had to throw it away after I could see discoloration through the wrapper lol

Ryuichi has been discharged from the hospital a couple of days earlier than planned, and he still feels pain when taking deep breaths. He will focus on his recovery as he will be exercising and walking to get his lungs back to normal.

Whats up guys, here we have a new band. After the last two single and the new single preview I'm thinking i really like them. For current vk, i'm thinking that they might be my number 3. I love the way they do metalcore, for me they do it best in vk (outside of vk I'm not sure). I like how the vocalist harsh vocals are not pathetic and are adding to the music. Clean sing wise it is good, but i not sure if he is really in it (singing from the heart), please tell what think about this. umm instrumental wise they have great break down, and other parts they are good. Also like the rap/cute bits. still waiting for them to make me cum. Looks: I like the first one, individuals for for eclipse and the last 2 were great (the vocalist character especially) . eclipse pv was horrible though.

A lot of great releases here, both in terms of albums that specifically impacted my life in a large way, and ones that I found out about years later but really love.

Fuck China. It is a beautiful country (geographically) and I would kinda like to see those mountains and rivers and historical buildings in person, but I am not setting foot there while it's a communist dictatorship. Besides that, since Canada arrested the Huawei lady, I run the risk of being arrested/tortured/executed for being a spy. Also, I don't really understand how this happened, but my mother, who grew up in China and had her family's property and assets confiscated during the Great Leap Forward and had to escape illegally to Hong Kong, is still extremely patriotic to China and Mao Zedong. Every time the news mentions the Huawei situation, she starts ranting about how Canada is stupid for arresting her, and China is justified in arresting those Canadians. I've explained "extradition treaty" to her 3 times but she doesn't understand. (She's also very happy Xi Jinping has become supreme leader or whatever, and thinks it's totally fine that Chinese citizens who criticize the government get jailed and worse) By the way, go look up what's happening in Xinjiang province with the Uyghurs (and other minorities). Disgusting and abhorrent. Fuck China.

Just wanted to necro revive this thread to say that I am enjoying Gentle Forest Jazz Band's music! I've only recently found out about them by listening to their latest album release. I will have to check out their earlier stuff for sure XD I've also stumbled across this pairing. It's got saxophone and guitar mixed together, but I'm digging the sound. As for jazz-influenced music, the only one I can think of right now is Shoji Meguro. As for VK-related artists, D=out hands down plays jazz best, lol.

Vidoll was probably my all-time favourite back in the day. I own most of their discography and was obsessed since their early days. I enjoyed the Ayano-era the best and played their I My Ai Mai PV over and over. Rame's prominent basslines had me hooked. Boku Boku is a gem and Face Mayura, Face Pisaroto, If...Rebotomin and If...Torikabuto are still some of my most prized CDs. Although I lost interest after their major debut, I still followed and liked some songs here and there. Bastard was a solid effort, but I mostly liked the b-sides from their singles, like Red cube, Gaga Syrup, and Berry Jam Cleaner.

I used to watch this so many times on visunavi. Pooh-san! Also, Vinett is love, Black Coffee by Parfait is a gem, and Pink Cherry by PANIC*ch is the bop you never thought you needed in your life.

Finally watched the full PV. I wasn't impressed by AvelCain at the time, but this is quite nice! I dig the old-schoolish sound, we need more of bands like this. Karma's voice is something I have to get used to (sounding like a 15 y.o. who just broke down sobbing while he learnt that he's not getting the award for the Kiyoharu Pageant 2019), but I see no problems here. Gonna keep an eye out for these guys.

Although SiREN barely just started activities, they announced that vocalist Yuuka has been diagnosed with a vocal cord polyp after their live on 12/29. If I got this correctly, his status for their upcoming live on 1/13 is currently up in the air as they're still having discussions (and most likely ignoring the doctor's advice to not perform). Update 1/13: Yuuka was able to perform with the band

You're welcome! They have lot of additional information that you only know if you go to instores/read interviews, so I try to share it as much as I can to the fans who doesn't have access to that or don't speak japanese. It makes the band way more enjoyable

I know right! That gives a lot of meaning to the words "Maybe I've thrown away my life once, but I was saved by music and managed to survive" before singing that song. I love how he write songs about the ages that "marked" him. Juugo is about when his classmate passed away, and he started to question God when he was 15. I hope he write more "age" songs 😮

lbr this is far from their "last live" DVD, twenty years from now Miku's rigged cadaver will be forced out to werk another gig or two each week as the 45-th line-up of the instrumental band slams those guitars like their life depends on it while the blaring synth covers the horror of it all x

I actually got a stronger Sukekiyo vibe from their more recent stuff than a DeG one too. Haven't really heard their stuff much but it's pretty crazy how Mao's singing improved with time (i'm not talking since the beginning of this project, I mean since the beginning of his career) , and the music is also took a huge improvement since "Chainsaw" too. That one barely qualifies as music lol
