  1. I guess this is not totally unexpected but still it was surprising/fun to spot in this context: the Strictly Dumpling guy just put up a video on his channel where he went to a bunch of ramen joints in Sapporo, and one of the places is decorated with signatures/messages from bands who ate there. 未完成アリス (Mikansei Alice) is the only VK band I could spot... well it was hard to miss, lol.

  2. An interesting info nugget btw: the one who did the two remixes at the end (which are imo kinda useless but whatever xD) as well as the programming on tracks Garnet and 「浮遊した理想」 is Kazutoshi Yokoyama! He has done extensive production/programming/synth work for Laputa and BUCK-TICK among others (he's practically almost the 6th member of B-T at this point, lol).

I'm so impressed J is credited as the main composer of those classics! Now I realize I unconsciouslly assumed all this time it was either Sugizo or Inoran who were back them, because 90% of the times in rock bands it's the guitarist who comes with the majority of ideas... This deserves more researching!

J really did not fuck around with laying down the template for 80% of all vk that came afterwards. :D Here are his songwriting credits (excluding MOTHER already mentioned) up till the band's disbandment/hiatus:

    TIME IS DEAD
    SHADE
    THE SLAIN
    PRECIOUS...
    MECHANICAL DANCE
    IMITATION
    IN MIND
    WISH
    JESUS
    IN MY DREAM (WITH SHIVER)
    STEAL
    STAY
    SLAVE
    FALLOUT
    G.
    HURT
    RA-SE-N
    FOREVER & EVER
    Time Has Come
    STORM
    SHINE
    Unlikelihood
    ANOTHER

    INTO THE SUN
    Sweetest Coma Again
    a Vision

Back when this album was released I was still a vk babby, so you know I sucked all of that sweet sweet mother's milk from...uhhh...Hizumi & co? Okay, this started out weird. But the fact still stands that these guys caught me in my most impressionable phase and left their mark on me with this full-length.

Before this was released, I wasn't paying too much attention to them, only knew a small handful of tracks, and even though those tracks were cool, it still floored me how amazing this album sounded and how tight the songs were. Everyone here was at the top of their game and you could hear the excitement, passion and the energy they put into the music, that can only come from such a young band.

When I've put it on in recent years it still holds up quite well, but there are some more average/mediocre moments... anyway, it is still my top favorite album of theirs and always will be a minor classic imo.

Favorites: tracks 1-4, 6-9 (and the rest are fine/decent)

蘭図 (Rands) Gu. 拓也-takuya- and Ba. 誠-makoto- announced that they will leave the band after their live on 2020/05/16 (which will be held without an audience due to the coronavirus outbreak).

That is so sad it's actually somewhat morbidly funny... imagine doing your last gig to literally no one, lmao.

Good to hear Karma is continuing tho, I hope he will keep this nostalgic style.
