Sounds good! You can spot the La'veil dude's song from a mile away too, haha.

Livehouse Ikebukuro CHOP's channel just uploaded tons of random videos, ranging from PVs to live footage and other stuff:

The band's music video for the new song will premiere tomorrow (04/28) at 9 PM Japan Time:

The secondhand embarrassment is just too much to handle.

The live was pretty cool! Gotta love the choice of intro SE too.

Awww sucks to hear he's leaving...
And yeah, they've been recording something for a while now it seems (from their social media). Looking forward to the album, whenever that will be!

That cover hardly gives me the urge to listen to this... ;(((

Haven't seen this mentioned anywhere yet, but the B-side of the upcoming (04/29) single is titled "Bloodway".
So this is the full tracklist:
01. Persona Grata
02. Bloodway
03. Mystery
04. Persona Grata [Instrumental]*
05. Bloodway [Instrumental]*
06. Mystery [Instrumental]** only limited edition

I guess this is not totally unexpected but still it was surprising/fun to spot in this context: the Strictly Dumpling guy just put up a video on his channel where he went to a bunch of ramen joints in Sapporo, and one of the places is decorated with signatures/messages from bands who ate there. 未完成アリス (Mikansei Alice) is the only VK band I could spot... well it was hard to miss, lol.

Fun to see SUGIZO rockin' out, even if the snippet does not really sound like my cuppa tea..

Uhh the synths are back...
They really add nothing to the song for me.
Otherwise it's pretty good!
-
Just a heads-up: all of the mini album's music videos are now uploaded in full, on the band's/label's YT channel!
-
An interesting info nugget btw: the one who did the two remixes at the end (which are imo kinda useless but whatever xD) as well as the programming on tracks Garnet and 「浮遊した理想」 is Kazutoshi Yokoyama! He has done extensive production/programming/synth work for Laputa and BUCK-TICK among others (he's practically almost the 6th member of B-T at this point, lol).

Now I realize I unconsciouslly assumed all this time it was either Sugizo or Inoran who were back them, because 90% of the times in rock bands it's the guitarist who comes with the majority of ideas... This deserves more researching!
J really did not fuck around with laying down the template for 80% of all vk that came afterwards.
Here are his songwriting credits (excluding MOTHER already mentioned) up till the band's disbandment/hiatus:

Crazy About You -
YEEEEE BOIIII
Back when this album was released I was still a vk babby, so you know I sucked all of that sweet sweet mother's milk from...uhhh...Hizumi & co? Okay, this started out weird. But the fact still stands that these guys caught me in my most impressionable phase and left their mark on me with this full-length.
Before this was released, I wasn't paying too much attention to them, only knew a small handful of tracks, and even though those tracks were cool, it still floored me how amazing this album sounded and how tight the songs were. Everyone here was at the top of their game and you could hear the excitement, passion and the energy they put into the music, that can only come from such a young band.
When I've put it on in recent years it still holds up quite well, but there are some more average/mediocre moments... anyway, it is still my top favorite album of theirs and always will be a minor classic imo.
Favorites: tracks 1-4, 6-9 (and the rest are fine/decent)

Cool move. Respect!

Heyy, that Holy Nights song is actually kinda nice! The rest were totally forgettable or cringe-inducing for me.

That is so sad it's actually somewhat morbidly funny... imagine doing your last gig to literally no one, lmao.
Good to hear Karma is continuing tho, I hope he will keep this nostalgic style.

It's the day of release and we finally got a preview, lol.
The title track seems decent enough, the B-side is a bit goofy though.
