You best believe it! Gotta love live-limited releases from bands who hardly ever play live, lol.

The release can be pre-ordered from tomorrow at Sadie's TEKNOPOLICE webshop (it's not listed yet I think).
Looks like they made some cool T-shirts too:

I guess it's better to look at it as 4 albums' worth of material, then it doesn't seem that bad (e.g. -OZ-'s complete best 4CD collection was around the same price 7 years ago).

Well, let's see what happens... I'll try to be cautiously optimistic (even though the only stuff worth anything to me is their old old UNDER CODE material).

I'm not sure from the above whether this means that they'll just release all the re-take songs as an album on that 2021 date or if it's something completely new... but in any case, looking forward to it! Been a long-ass time since I actually listened to these guys.

By the way, based on the Twitter feedback so far from the bandmen involved there's a good chance some of the tracks will be quite exclusive (for example, if I understood it correctly the D'elsquel track might be an old unreleased song and the Kneuklid Romance one should be an old demo version of a later released track).

The album recording is still totally happening, guysss
I feel like it's been 10 years already, but this record's still gonna come out sooner than X JAPAN's album, lmao.

To financially help livehouse Meguro ROCKMAYKAN (and also to commemorate its 40th anniversary), a special compilation album titled "鹿鳴館伝説" (ROCKMAYKAN densetsu) will be released. The omnibus was produced by KISAKI and it features a whopping 50 bands, providing a pretty serious overview of the '90s underground VK scene.
The release can be ordered from 2020/07/20 through the livehouse's webshop, and they will start sending it out around 2020/08/10.
Honestly, this looks MIGHTY FINE.

ZIGZO has announced that they will release a re-recorded song each month, from 2020/06/20 to 2021/05/21.
The first one is FOREVER YOUNG (2020 ver.), a re-take of the title track of their 4th full-length album originally released in 2014.

CROW MUSIC has made some of their old artists' catalogue available for digital purchase today. As far as I can tell the two best albums are digital-only exclusive releases, while the two omnibus albums were previously released on CD. In any case, there's some cool stuff in here.
7seven - PSYCHO STREAMING BEST 7 (HERE)
Band of TATSUYA (CROW MUSIC president) active during 1997-2000
NUDE - NUDE 完全脳殺セレクション 2000-2004 (HERE)

CROW THAT WORE CROWN (HERE)
2008 omnibus album featuring artists like WHITEBLACK, IRODORI, n'DooL, Crack brain, NUDE, Aikaryu, etc.
XX (HERE)
20th anniversary omnibus album featuring artists like WHITEBLACK, n'DooL, BIOSPHIA, NUDE, Aikaryu, etc.
Sorry, I could only find the TuneCore link of the first one, the rest are pointing to OTOTOY for now (I'll try to replace them for TuneCore URLs once I come across them).

Mega Crocodile - Chinese monster movie from last year, hilariously terrible. Lots of over- or under-acting, awkward dialogue and a ridiculous plot, but somehow the CG effects were better than what I expected, lol. Still pretty darn funny (the computer-generated croccos I mean). Anyway, avoid this movie if you can, unless you're watching it with friends and loads of alcohol, then it can be kinda amusing.

This is truly the worst day, what a loss... R.I.P.

On my birthday??? This better be good, Yoshiki! ...and by "good" I mean not the new album of course.

Wow, this was the last thing I expected. I guess I'm cautiously optimistically looking forward to it? We'll see.
First three albums do it for me, then I kinda lost interest gradually (but the later stuff's not bad either).

If anyone's looking for pop and rock oldies (or a few more alternative acts) from mainly the '80s or early '90s, the JPOP80SS Blogspot is highly recommended. All the links are still working as far as I've experienced, and most of the uploads are high quality (sometimes lossless too).
As for the underground, the website Church of Zer has tons of (international but also Japanese) hardcore, punk and old-school metal of the extreme variety. This one's a bit more tricky when it comes to active links, but I've had luck most of the time. Very high-quality uploads (all lossless iirc), with some cool vinyl and bootleg rips that are not commonly found elsewhere.

3rd time re-watching 薔薇の葬列 (Funeral Parade of Roses) and still goddamn amazed how crazy and different this movie is for its time (1969).
