  1. I can't say I liked all of their musical output, but they've put out quite a number of absolute bangers. That motherfucker will be missed.

      Rest in peace :(

  2.

@chipathy I'm becoming slightly more hopeful with every snippet I see. This is gon' be gud.

I need it now, the wait is painful

  3. F28aWoi.png

Fixer separated themselves from a band with the same name and now they have but a single follower (me) :D fix it, y'all, it's sad

  4. BMTH 2019: Coldplay "jacked our steez" a few years back. Let's get back at them by copying their music.

Seriously tho, it's a really solid pop album. It's what I expected, but feared of getting. Not one song on the album resonated with me the same way as any of their previous works. Their songwriting definitely hasn't lost it's edge, but...it just feels kinda soulless.

Are some of the tracks even songs? I listened to it only once for now, but some of the tracks just began and ended without me noticing it... their previous album was better, imo.

this is just as weird of a change of style as nickelback doing the weird 'almost alt-metal/nu-metal' thing recently

  5. I gave quite a few spins to the majority of NAZARE's full length, and I gotta say, the potential is there, but the inexperience of anyone but Issei kinda shows. The album itself is nicely written and varied, but...although the guitarist has the (quasi)-technical department down, he lacks the ability to write any compelling solos, it's just "basic" guitar-wankery. The vocalist is good and the potential is there, but someone should really hit him over the head whenever he tries those highs and refuses to stay in his range, he ain't Sho or Akane. No complaints on the bassist, he's just there, quality rumble from down under. It's a fun record and I'm excited for what's next.

Let's just hope they are given the time to evolve, before someone fucks it up, and stop being just a poor man's D.I.D.

Thank you for the link to the FIXER II, and thank you in advance for the NAZARE !!

@123Sandman321 go ahead, but make sure you let people know why the tracks are missing and the other track cuts off. I'd also suggest marking it as a "spotify version". Someone else will be able to upload the full version in the future.

@suji I was talking about NAZARE's album (not FIXER II), which I've got from ROPPU's channel, before they were taken down. Does your permission still apply? :D

  6. I'm so glad, that I stumbled upon these dudes. Fucking phenomenal!

  7. I'm still dearly waiting the day, when Akane amasses enough of those 7/11 ¥¥¥, so that he can make a full-blown come-back...

Hell, I'd be happy for properly mixed and mastered Inside of me tracks

Also, he should follow Issei's model of acquiring some unknowns who don't yet know how much of a nightmare he is to work with.

  8. If anyone's looking for some western goodness, check out the new album by The Word Alive, Violent Noise, here's the main single

And a bonus, I'm expecting big things from these guys

  9. Kinda out of the left field, but there's a new nekomanju song. Not all that good, but it's there.

This is the song they released with SLOTHREAT.

Oh, OK, thanks for the clarification. Then it's weird that Slothreat haven't put out their song on Spotify, yet. Double weird that nekomanju made a live-limited song so readily available.

    3. VkBrutaliaN

      VkBrutaliaN

Yeah, I'd rather listen to SLOTHREAT's song... XD

  10. Nemophila is a good album, but I expected much more. There are no real standout tracks whatsoever and it just kinda blends together in the back half.

The production on the other hand is the best they ever had. It's a shame that Mio sounds worse on the re-recorded single tracks, when the rest sounds better.

Now, since we went through regular shitty synths, orchestral and then oriental restaurant OST ones. Perhaps some indian or balalaika samples are on the horizon?

  11. New Whitechapel is fucking here!

  12. Still one of the best breakdowns in the game. Not the heaviest or the most technical, but it hits just so right.

I love that song, I love that breakdown more and I miss this band 😧

couldn't agree more. Probably my favorite on the scene aswell, at least a top 3.

  13. Those guys were a huge part of my childhood, when I was a pure metalhead...nice to see them going back to their roots.

  14. Vampire The Masquerade: Bloodlines 2, after 15 goddamn years.

I'm fucking pumped, yet scared, of what it's gonna turn out to be...if ever.

tbh im already lowkey thinking of doing another playthrough of the original again lmao, or maybe ill give requiem a go for once

I'm in the middle of the Antitribu mod playthrough. So I'm exempt from the reinstall law, whenever Masquerade is mentioned :D

  15. After Oni, I can't wait for what Seiya and Hiroto are gonna cook up, together.

  16. Been watching BMTH's studio session videos...I'm very carefully optimistic

  17. Can someone tell Juri to stop rapping? 'Cause the b-side from LILITH is absolute trash

  18. Done listening to FIXER II...the live-limited tracks are amazing, damn, am I gonna miss them. Definitely one of the best bands that came out in 2010s.

    1. xriko

      xriko

I saw them live in 2014, I liked them a lot so I listen oftenly to them.

Most of the discography is nice, even tracks like Verify

  19. I ain't taking anything I said about Mamireta, in the past, back, but...the latest mini is just pure fun.

  20. I got a last part of my university entry exams ahead of me tomorrow...fucking civics. With me being two years out of highschool and working full-time, I never had such a strong distaste for picking up my studying materials. I couldn't even get through the whole thing. The exam's sure gonna be fun 🙃 I got 'round 90% on my english exam, so here's to not fucking up extra hard, tomorrow.

      Good luck~! ^_^

  21. I thank you all for making the 5 years I've been around this place much more colorful than they otherwise would've been. :)

  22. I used to hope for a heavy Grimoire, but now I'm hoping for any Grimoire.

  23. I went into the 1st Roman Kyuko single with absolutely zero expectations, since Sibilebashir never really clicked with me, but I haven't been more pleasantly surprised, this year. Each song is a fucking banger, we need more bands like that.

    1. Peace Heavy mk II

      Peace Heavy mk II

They reminded me a lot more of CaliGari than Sibil or NoGod. Excited to hear their next release

  24. If Akane ever comes back, looking back at the vocal progression from julius, through Para:noir to D.I.D., only dogs will be able to hear him.

    1. Aferni

      Aferni

And that's just what i want tbh, been listening to alot of D.I.D. again, especially nihilism. I wonder why akane went from screaming un paranoir to very pained HNNNNGGG NNNRRRRRRG noises. I love it but lmao hes just grunting very hard.

    2. 123Sandman321

      123Sandman321

Yeah, the D.I.D. versions of older songs are the best ones, but it's really just an acquired taste, since it's quite jarring at first and I had to listen to Paranoid Personality and Providentia countless times to understand them and love them as I do, now. Para:noir were much more digestible in that regard.

Imagine writing lyrics for those parts, tho

    3. Aferni

      Aferni

LMAO only for them to not sound like anything, like gula is just him doing loud, long grunts and shrieks accompanied by Shut up mother fucker, God damnit. God is Dead is somewhere inbetween all of that cause akane
