"good" is not the right word tbqh. TK is a good vocalist, technically, you can't deny that. However, the way he uses his voice and how it sounds can be something that isn't your taste, but he's definitely not bad.

I still need to listen to ACME's new album. I've listened to a couple singles and mildly enjoyed them.

I've been thinking about going to the con as well now that I'm like an hour away, but it feels bad to drive all that way for one day of a con.

@Biopanda Honestly, I really don't think that drive is bad. Perhaps I biased as I spent like 3 years where my commute to work was an hour one way lol. To me I feel like the main question is "is it really worth paying for $45 for a badge to just see a band." If you are planning on doing other things at the con or you really love ACME, I would say yeah. But otherwise, nah. I haven't been personally in several years to Anime Milwaukee (it's usually the same weekend as Katsucon, which is waaay better, but I am not going this year to save $$$), but my wife and friends have, and they will tell you it's a very average midsized con.

Well to put it another way, Yoshiki was part of the start of VK, what Miyavi came from, plays bigger venues worldwide, and plays his music, not stuff the studios partly made for him like Miyavi's latest stuff. It's great if Miyavi wants to be a star in NA, but I wouldn't be jealous if I was Yoshiki for the given reasons, and the fact that he did it using the music him and his band made, not a movie and pop producers. Just my two cents on the matter. Don't mean to argue or anyt...

Maybe if yoshiki actually put out some music or something he could get noticed overseas. Also I think miyavi has more charisma for the american media. He also recently was apart of a mainstream movie so..

I don't think miyavi's music will ever be relevant in the US, north america is racist and non-receiptive, and he is non-white, non-english articulate and his current music sounds like everything else out there and he is not hipster enough to have local non-vk fans. movie career? there's huge potential for that, given he worked with Angelina.

It's a different kind of album from them. I don't think it blows, but being a vocal-jazz album, it's going to have an entirely different dynamic than their other works.

...she pretty much has no time to live life anymore. She has been crying a lot lately, and yesterday was just the culmination of her sadness and frustration.

I'm trying to do all that I can for her, from grading the occasional quizzes, punching in grades in to the grade book, helping her find short stories, and coming up with worksheets or other material for her to use. But some times it just isn't enough and I just get frustrated with myself. I watch her suffering and all...

...all I can really do is help in these small ways and then love her as best as I can.

i don't like fanservice, but if there's not too much of it and it fits into the main plot perfectly, i can deal with it

the fanservice in this isn't nearly as bad as your typical ecchi anime though, like cat said they do it in this so over the top and crazy manner that it just comes off as ironic and the show actually benefits from it I think.

I "get" it, doesn't mean I have to care for it though. It honestly really lowered my enjoyment of the show. I can tell you that if they have that outfit for a full 26 episodes that the show will probably loss me tbh.

It's fine to say that. Personally, I don't mind. As much as I love the original games, I'm always glad when a new one comes out because I get the opportunity for a new story, new Pokemon, a new world. It doesn't matter to me if they use the same mechanics...in Reality, aside from the Team ____ and your character's goals, every game has something different to offer, whether it's small

I really liked 5th and 6th gen's stories. Team Flare was campy and ridiculous which made grinding against the same swallot / mightyena worth it. But I don't play pokemon for the story: it doesn't get good to me until post-elite four when I train to obsessively do the battle tower with people.

@Saku: I won't bash you for enjoy it, but I would argue that the battle system is 95% or more the same as it was in Red/Blue. I know lots of people love it still, but I am in need of a overhaul to really get in to it. I tired of it by Pearl. And do I blame Nintendo for not changing it? No, because it sells.

I hated Blitzball, took me 4 days to get through the first match bc your team was so incredibly underleveled. I played FFX for like 5-6 hours in total of gameplay and then I quit.
