  1. I do wonder tho if that Instagram post is really his opinion or just for marketing (since their facebook page since 1-2 years for me is so extremly typically marketing-style written, I prefered the honest and 'bad english' comments from the members that were posted before..).

However, last time I saw them overseas I felt Kyo enjoyed the live in the end, even while looking pissed several times for the organization/livehousestaff/general sound/livehouse equipment.. I wonder if they got used to the horrible organization/work skills that are common for e.g. in Europe, yet..

    >complain on social media how they dared to play the entire new album on a tour dedicated to the new album

I think this isnt only a problem for diru.. you'll probably find this for most bands, even just any music group..

(however I was forced to hear several of this as honest statements in person waiting in line from other people talking...)

some live snippets - i really hope they'll make it long enough to be able to release another CD. they sound really great!!

also i was very surprised by how many male fans they seem to have.

FYI: they sold a mini album at their first live.

Hopefully Pure Sound still stays in business!

As for the Tokyo store, last time I went there already 1/3 of the store was changed from vk towards used DVDs (cheap movies, not vk related).

Felt the store is quite dead, which really saddened me (but their onlinestore is too big to go down, right? right? ;_;).

After "Ojamashimasu" -a song that delivered a genuine concept while at the same time revived the 00's 'Kagerouesque' legacy- Mamireta still hasn't released a single song you can actually say it's worth the listening in a sense of "Wow, this is really filling the gap other bands have left and definitely doesn't sound samey at all".

Have you not heard their song about brushing teeth yet? Fucking masterpiece. ;)

Or the tabaco one, just love his random "俺-style" slang talking. Who did/does this otherwise?

And no matter how often I see Ojama or 被害妄想 live, Im not getting tired of it. And name one other vk band with a breakdancer.

(However, I do get what you mean, but from your standard I think it would mean there is not a single vk band worth listening (which might be true tho!))

Also can't believe they're so unpopular in that live clip LOOLLL

Only saw them live once at an event in June but I was really suprised.  First time i felt like 1/3 of the audience left the hall before they started playing and coming back when they were finished... although I feel their songs/atmosphere doesnt translate well live - and their singer is still Karma - I've seen way worse bands live and didnt see that happening... (often see people leaving after their favorite band played but those do not come back)

(and even tho I should know better I was kinda saddened seeing how underwhelming Takuya looked/played in real life ;_; - but at least Karmas live voice improved a little compared to AvelCain i felt.. while his seemingly arrogant stage behavior stayed)

The "non overseas shipping" was really homophobic tho. And so many gyas liked the tweet like they were cheerleaders "no gaijin, no gaijin!!"

Could you show/link where you see that homophobia and gaijin hate you mention? Maybe I missed it but I just found the information saying that oversea shipping is not possible, which i guess they put there in case any might wonder (as people often ask if bands ship overseas). I've never had bad experiences with bandmen/"gya" so far and that statment seems really harsh and I wonder if I should go to their live or worry to be pointed out..

Maybe @Paraph could write how his experience at their bunpan was when visiting their live?

  7. For every riff, melody or part I just feel "Ah, I have heard that exact part from band xy 10 years ago" and therefore they pretty much just copied and glued together this song. However, in the context of todays scene they are still a welcomed addition. Once they start writing songs with own riffs/melodies I think they could get interesting.

One of those bands who release nearly everything live and apparently have no interest in gaining popularity or any international fans.

I have no chance to really get to know their music since so much is live-exclusive. I hate this about japanese bands.

It is simply not true. Especially with this band. They have released a lot of full songs on their youtube, previews for (all?) CDs, lyric videos, live videos..

    Off topic addition:

    Spoiler

Sorry for the offense but the problem in the situation you describe are oversea "fans" like you that want to listen to just every song. While I do understand your situation, it might help you to just enjoy the songs you can listen by them and hope for the ones you cant hear to pop up one day or forget about them. Live limited CDs are often made because they are cheap to make, as a way to get people to their live/bunpan or even as a gift/way to show gratitude to the people that came to that specific live (in case of one day limited CDs). Of course its sad when you can't go there even if you wanted.. But, as discussed here a hundred times, in the end it is what it is, if you do not go to their lives you just cant be a real "fan" since with nearly all vk bands the image you have from the internet and the acutal band live (not only the live sound but also their look, behavior, etc.) are two totally different things. Of course the bands will say in interviews "yeah i want to go overseas etc." since why not visit another country and do some sightseeing. But in the end most of them lack the money or motivation or simply actually just do not care for "fans" overseas. People overseas buying their CDs online has little to no effect on the band (especially not on auctions..). If you want to support them go to their live as their visitor (meaning tell the staff at the entrance you came for them), buy their chekis, shirt, rubber band or whatever they sell or just hand them money in an envelope.. Popularity or international fans - nothing to get from that..

In the end, what you just can do when you can't go to their lives is to just enjoy those songs available and not mourn after the 1-2 songs you won't hear..

  9. Sounds a little bit too similar to other songs they did IMO. Their last live limited CD was amazing, one of their best songs, don't understand why they didn't use it as official single (well, they have about 20 releases already but only list 6 as official anyway...)

Definitly one of the best vk bands around currently. Really good live too!

Cool I haven't heard Akito in a while

I feel like I don't hear him here as well. Listening to meth. and 404NOTFOUND really REALLY much in the past I can't hear any resemplence vocal wise with the new song. His voice was very recognizable and did not change much from 2005 to 2010 so even we are nearly 10 years later now I can't believe it should be Akito. Is there a mistake or did he have a very very late puberty vocal change?! His pronunciation or word accentuation seems a little similar tho.. but the pitch is just SO different.

    ? where do u don't ?

uwu is a known rip-off kween based off her solo PV as well

Sure he is ripping off others, as most vk does. But it doesnt sound like dimlim. Quoting 2 people where the first one judged a 30 sec sample and the other not even mentioned dimlim doesnt help. Using a  kind of clean guitar sound and also using tapping are totally normal guitar playing styles. It is something Develop One's Faculties does a lot in the scene and they also dont sound like dimlim at all. I thought i would miss something, but clearly you just tried to troll (which is fine).

  12. Really would like to know the background/motivation for doing the FLOPPY song. It stands out to me from the whole album (in a good way), relieving from the (high quality) boringness their songstructure can become as 死霊のアリアナ did on ADORATIO (again the only memorable song from the entire (still very good) album that was ADORATIO).

they're def the best dimlim copyband

? where do you see/hear the dimlim similarities ?

Not gonna try to defend them but buk buk/awa sessions (sessions much more pop-orientated) played this kind of songs a lot, even before dimlim was formed, meaning they would copy Awa, which i doubt is the case..

If calling them copying anyone, after the 30 sec ningen sample i would've said they sound like Develop One's Faculties. However current song is different.

  14. I can't remember when an album opener caught me off guard like 偶像モラトリアム. And that pikopiko track. Amazing how a versatile band like sukekiyo could go even one step further. Some songs seem like filler so far, maybe changes after few more listens. So far very impressed with this album.

    Worst release after Immortalis, tbh.

Calling the unarguably best/biggest impact vk album of the decade their worst release.. Such trolling..

  15. As with their first mini, I don't mind that the riffs/melodies are just recycled/copied 90's material since we can hear it in todays quality/a modern way. It's just so sad to see/hear how the instrumental is so well done and presented/played in the video, the vocals make it nearly unlistenable for me :( The mini wasn't as bad as i intially expected vocal wise but with this video it seems like a step back..

With another vocalist they might've been the freshest (non heavy) act in the scene since 9GOATS BLACK OUT...

  16. I really want to know who wrote the instrumentals, some songs sound amazing - (dont mind that some riffs are just bluntly copied from 90's bands songs since i've love that sound (similar to 90's Luna Sea)). If the band wrote the songs and not a producer like in AvelCain im really impressed/suprised!

Somehow some songs seem louder/different produced than others (2-4 compared to 5-7)? For me, it sounds sometimes like some random sad drunk dude sings crooked over a karaoke after a nomihoudai, while in others he actually sounds good when hes trying to catch that 90's singing style?

Im positively surpised and look forward to it. But worried if they can play these songs live knowing how AvelCain members sometimes couldnt play simple power chords and this seems much more complex (sure, except the singer, the members are differnt this time)... Lets hope for the best and they could actually get far imo.

  17. His hair floating around was a little bit too much at some times, it was like a show in its own, but i didnt think he acted strange/cringy at all? He looked tired and "old" (well, probl. still looks good for his age?). The one acting like hes the most cool dude in the universe was Kaoru.

    12 hours ago, Seelentau said:

Did you hear the guy who pulled out a box and played Dir en grey in the queue outside?

And cringy sang to those Wtd songs? That wasnt you, right?

  18. THE BLOSSOMING BEELZEBUB performance was just incredible. That was the only time during the concert i totally forgot everything else and just stared at kyos face on the screen. That was one of the best live performances i've ever seen in hundreds of concerts.

Im interested how new songs like 軽蔑と始まり, Devote My Life sound with a good setup live in Japan. Yesterday i was dissapointed the songs sounded so flat and boring (i really ike them on CD). Overall some songs didnt sound good live (another example: Phenomenon), but that might be due to the setup - but others sounded great, so might be a problem of the song itself? I felt Values of Madness was one of the new songs most people enjoyed live. Ranunculus, 人間を被る, 詩踏み were great live, i wished they wouldve played  the new THE DEEPER VILENESS or EASY MAKE,EASY MARK (did they ever play this live somewhere?).

Sure, Die's さらさらhair was flaoting around like crazy, but to me he looked so tired and constantly out of breath after the 2nd song. Toshiya's really the one trying to get the audience pumped all the time, his stage presence is so important imo.

Other than that, many of the fans visiting are still so cringy, however i felt it was better than 2015. More aggressive people tho this time, especially one tall dude. Still shocked how he just bodykicked little girls on his way to the front 10 minutes before the live starts without giving 0 fucks when people try to make him apologize.

Shoutout to the girl with the "Thank you" sign at the end. Only time i felt Kyo looked truly suprised after seeing that one and pointing to it with a smile.
