  1. I am very glad there will be a new forum with J-ROCK ONE to continue what MH was known for.

But honestly as of now i dunno if i will continue to contribute like here or if i'll just visit as a guest or so called lurker frequently.

therefore just in case, until i know what i wanna do, if anyone wants to keep in touch for trades etc. feel free to do so on twitter @VkBrutaliaN

I've always respected and agreed with what you had to say and most of your taste in music. Haha!

  2. i can confirm DEVILOOF's new song is definitely the heaviest song they've put out so far and it is even over 5 minutes long and follows the roots of their first minialbum - 2nd song is going in the direction of their first full length and rocks pretty hard as well! ;D

    1. Manji 卍

      Manji 卍

What about the b side track "kodoushi" how does it sound,is ray singing?

    2. VkBrutaliaN

      VkBrutaliaN

@Manji 卍nope in the 2nd track there's also no singing either... well at least not really its some notes in the refrain sung bei keisuke but its more like "scream/singing" so nope no real singing on the entire release ;D

    3. Manji 卍

      Manji 卍

      I'm fuckin hyped

  3. if everything goes well i'll be finally able to listen to ORCALADE's first minialbum tomorrow - so excited!!!!!!! 8D

  4. If you like progressive metalcore definitely make sure to check out EPHEMERA - Invisible Crowd. Usually i dislike everything with the label "progressive" in it but alone that KILLER riffage from the start - OMG!!

      their old logo looked greater.

Hope the other announcements are greater well.. waiting until the 1st of September.

      Still a damn week XD

    2. itsukoii

      itsukoii

i wonder what they'll announce next week, i'm so excited

  6. just finished listening to CHOKE's first album CHOKE1 and srsly instrumentally and vocally its a fucking killer CD! the guitars in the beginning of "Nightmare" are so ridiculously deep it could be from a downtempo deathcore band - damn, already hope they'll announce a new release anytime soon! ;D

  7. Just finished listening to DEXCORE's [METEMPSYCHOSIS.] and OMG what a sick ride! Definitely album of the year. Tons of cool ideas like in "the Ground". That simple "beep" noises - love it!

Also i was kinda worried about the 2nd Disc with the re-recordings because of the comments i've read before listening BUT i dunno what's the problem!? Imo all re-recording songs are AMAZING. This is re-recording old songs done damn RIGHT.

I never really liked the drum sound of old DEXCORE so alone for that fact the re-recordings definitely have the right to exist.

The only thing which is kinda debatable is the Breakdown in "Brain Washing" but since i know that Kagami always did the vocals live the way he did in the re-recordet version i wasn't disappointed at all.

Anyway now only gotta wait until i got my hands on [METEMPSYCHOSIS.] -WHITE-. Can't wait to listen to the last 2 remaining songs. 8D

the Ground is so good, totally agree. I find that the tracks on disc 2 are either a bit better or a bit worse than the originals, but I'm glad they exist.

  8. just finished listening to Para:noir's and D.I.D.'s full length and i gotta say both albums sounded way better then what i remembered >.>''

  11. just noticed while having a look at バラライカ's booklet that it says: "Recording, Mixing and Masterring: eve" - I instantly was like: THAT EVE!? but since AvelCain is almost done i guess he moved on so pretty interresting to know i imo...

  12. Last Call and farewell...

Again in case anyone wants to stay in touch you can do so via twitter @VkBrutaliaN since i have no means on joining any new forum anytime soon. Of course that could change over time but for now that's how i feel.

MH was the only forum i ever joined and  it definitely was a fun and very intersting experience throughout all the years.

Now that everything comes to an end i kinda wish i would've been more active here although i guess i was active enough... XD

Anyways as this is officially my last post here, thanks to everyone which made my time here a fun stay and hopefully anyone else will continue to to spread some more LOVE for Brutal系 elsewhere like i tried my best to do here. ;D

  13. listening to some old gems in remembrance of the old era of heavy Vk and damn CIVIL were perfect! although they only released one maxi single in 2011 they had so much potential - love the vocalists super mumbly harsh VoKills.

    1. itsukoii

      itsukoii

  14. love my Vk "throwbacks" every few months to listen some old BRUTAL系 classics - this time: Créateur, Golbeza, D-ZEL and 一兎 4 super amazing but extremely underrated/unknown bands who have left the Vk scene way to early...

    1. Mamo

      Mamo

  15. Quite surprised Demo1 and Demo2 of the M-Card for NAZARE's INNOCENCE reg. edition even include fully recorded vocal lines...

  16. REVIVE's "Envy Circus" single is definitely one of the best Vk releases of 2017 so far - like srsly so fucking perfect!!!! 8D

  18. somehow i wish JILUKA would release a full album consisting only of songs like Petrichor - srsly this song is such an AMAZING surprise!!

  19. This just sounds ridiculously brutal!

Always kinda mind baffling how such a band only has 137 views on this video and only 17 subscribers...

    1. VkBrutaliaN

      VkBrutaliaN

It is... and honestly i guess it's probably only because they are japanese.

If they would be some american band or whatever i bet they would've got way more exposure compared to what they have now after being active for over 2 years already...

    2. Enki

      Enki

Theres plenty of american deathcore bands nobody listens to

  20. This year sucked in many ways for me but at least musically this year was totally AMAZING.

I discovered so many great japanese none-Vk bands (although Vk still will be my number one "genre") like GOAT, Fushi, Fall of Tears, Farevvell, ONE LAST STAND, kokeshi and the list goes on...

  21. to my own surprise i have to say MIZTAVLA's 1st minialbum sounds really, really good! especially track 1, 2, 3 and 5!

  22. today i finally listened to RAZOR'S LIQUID VAIN and damn that breakdown instantly conjured a huge smile on my face! ;D

  23. today i went on another Vk "nostalgia-trip" including NAINE, B.C and DELACROIX and fuck - they were such incredible phenomenal bands!!!!!!

  25. usually once i didn't listen to a CD anymore in a couple of months i deleted them from my hard drive... now i thought its better to keep them on my hard drive none the less which means... ...still over 800 CDs to copy again to my PC ~ FML!! it'll take months until i got everything back copied to my PC.. >.>''

    1. patientZERO

I did the same thing with my iPod. I've had it for over a decade now and decided at my last job that I would play the thing on shuffle. If I skipped a song, it wasn't worth keeping the album (with some exceptions) and it helped me really weed out my music collection of things I've grown out of.

I would suggest investing in a portable hard drive, though, and just use that to only store up your music. Back it up once a month and you'll slowly get your library back in order.

    2. VkBrutaliaN

      VkBrutaliaN

i once had a portable hard drive but it got fucked up and everything was lost (back in the era were i downloaded like 90% which is years ago) but for now my tactic is just go through my shelf which is in order from A-Z and i'll get to every single CD and copy it on my PC - once that is done i'll do one more copy of everything to an external hard drive in hope it won't fuck up again...

actually i never wanted to do it but since my driving teacher and my wife told me that CDs don't necessarily hold forever i was like: hm maybe you should keep everything digitally saved jsut in case... since it could be that certain CDs won't play anymore after a couple of years although they have no scratches but also you can have luck and they hold a lifetime... - you never know...

    3. BrenGun

      BrenGun

      cds hold forever.  no worries.

only own burned cds / dvds burned on fast speed don't hold forever.
