From the looks of it, this set is underwhelming as hell. I could've sworn that Kaoru said that because these shows were also around the same time as their anniversary, that it was gonna be special or something along those lines. I see nothing here that indicates that at all....what a bummer. Time to wait for the DVD....

I'm excited for new music mostly. And i like the idea of seeing a good chunk of VULGAR songs performed with the band in their current state. I really dislike KISOU so i can't say i care too much bout that but it should be interesting. As for another revisting of DUM SPIRO SPERO.....the band needs to let that album go. We have so many DVD's and the last Budokan show that was dedicated to that one live. Someone in the earlier posts mentioned MACABRE, they could've easily done that instead. Its starting to get aggravating. Either way. I'm impatient. Lets see where it goes.

Go peep that Dum Spiro Spero budokan bonus CD

Out of the trilogy that has been Girugamesh's "comeback" , "CHIMERA" is the strongest till date. Its more or less of a continuation of Gravitation but this time its mixed with the flavor of the old school badass Girugamesh sound that made them such a force to be reckoned with in the past. I also love how the songs make me wanna do a mix of dancing and headbanging. Only song that is iffy to me is Horizon. But even so, it fits with the album and isn't anything id deem bad. Reactions to my fav songs Wither Mind: MY NIGGA WHEN THAT BREAKDOWN CAME THROUGH: END: From start to finish...I haven't heard a song like this from Giru in like ever. Chimera (after it sunk in): Has this badass feel to it that makes me go Very well done. Huge props also to them still pimping the whole EP concept. Its working. No filler, just straight to the point banger's. Right now its the album to beat this year. Great job Girugamesh! 9.5/10

I hate that VK has given birth to the abomination that is a good chunk of "swed kei." A lot of the stuff in that scene is an ear sore to listen to and watch. And its very bothersome to see that many of the bands/acts don't have to try hard to get some kind of a fan base. They can just slap on the VK look, which is a quick way to sucker in fans and they can just fly by with dropping borderline mediocre music.

Me and one of my good friends ran into the band Issues (and fam), at UNO's, right after we finished seeing them BMTH and PVRIS perform.

They only had one song i liked and even then that song wasn't anything special. Whenever i took the time to peep what they've been doing, i always wished for my time back. Irrelevant band in my eyes and i just never got the appeal. Regardless, this does suck for people who were into em. Hopefully some of the members will go and make something great after this.

Right cuz Rose isn't a Blatant rip off of Lynch's Ambivalent Ideal And Mourou isn't a rip off of the GazettE's Chizuru. LMFAOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO far from upgrade!!!! Though I'll admit, both songs do have their moments.

Whats funny here is that i think the OP made this in hopes that the obvious lesser choice would be the one that would reign supreme in polls/results. I'm hollering right now. I needed this. RES without a doubt. But i'm not gonna snub Lycaon of props though. Their last album was great, and they have some random songs here and there that are cool too. Only thing is that, they aren't a band that i will go listen to unless i remember to or am bored. There's also the issue of them just straight plagiarizing some other bands material as well. Like...straight rip offs.

Enh.... I'll wait for the album to drop. Not liking or disliking what i just heard.

Production, aside, i can still listen to both albums entirely without switching any songs. Phenomenon, Cause of Fickleness, Magayasou are very forgettable tracks. Kukoku is alright but only if you watch/listen to the Sugizo collab. Soshaku and Un Deux also fall into that section to. Mix that with the very sloppy track listing, its hard to think that they didn't just half ass a majority of that album. A lot of people are throwing in that "its on par with Vulgar" but even to me that is a HUGE stretch. While Vulgar isn't one of my all time favorites, it flows and sounds hella better than the majority of ARCHE to me. Its also an album i can listen to in its entirety minus one or two tracks. I'll even dare to say that besides the fact that a lot of the songs were played in D on the 7 string, there is almost no real comparison between the two....other than the "funnest" vibe of Cause of Fickleness. I'm being very serious. DSS feels more like a continuation of Uroboros but with the use of 7 strings, which is why i like it. Only major flaw is that the album as a whole (while i enjoy specific song performances) does not translate well live at all.

I feel like a new song will debut soon. They always go into BUDOKAN with newer tracks but since ARCHE pretty much did come out last year....maybe not

People expecting "DIM 2.0" from DOGMA was probably one of the most illogical things I've seen in quite sometime. It really doesn't take a genius to figure out that since DIM came out, the GazettE has found a standard sound that they're (or should I say, Ruki) is "comfortable" with and alter as time goes by. Its more or less like a Lynch. album these days. You can always find those standard, updated staple songs. And then you'll find the juicy, new "wow" tracks that show growth. Surely, after TOXIC, DIVISION, and Beautiful Deformity, the hope would be that this would be realized. It's apparent that it wasn't. I agree that DOGMA, while i enjoy it, had its flaws. There is a clear lack of Distinction between Aoi and Uruha's Guitar parts. Reita has faded into mediocrity, and the composition on a lot of the tracks has a samey feel to it. At the same time, there were pretty cool newer tracks such as DERACINE, GRUDGE, DOGMA, and OMINOUS. I also feel like a lot of the backlash that the album gets is purely because it wasn't "DIM 2.0." If DOGMA did end up becoming DIM 2.0 then the criticism would be "its been done before." Its like people wanted the band to take a step back to 2009, just to please them. While everyone is entitled to their opinions, It doesn't work that way. I'm actually pretty happy that DOGMA turned out the way it did because hopefully dreams of DIM 2.0 were shattered. If you want DIM, go listen to it. And hell, the band pretty much did everyone who enjoyed their previous works a HUGE favor by dropping that Fanclub live which features very well executed newer renditions of many of those songs. The DIM performances are amazing.
