Coaltar of the Deepers' Yukari Telepath or No Thank You (COTD are not really the 'standard' gaze band tbh, there's elements of death metal, new wave, and other stuff there as well from time to time)

Other bands worth checking out (maybe): Curve (sometimes have sort of an 'industrial' twist on things) The Depreciation Guild (shoegaze/dreampop + chiptune), The Angelic Process (shoegaze + .. drone metal i guess? basically sounds like I imagine drowning in a sand pit feels like) Catherine Wheel and Swervedriver (both alt. rock influenced shoegaze, so it's sort of more fastpaced than the usual)

I love chariots! My favorite songs are probably Jade and 邪.

Not sure how I feel about the new EP yet - only listened to it once.

I recommend a band from the late nineties called: ELY-SIA ~Celestial Scene~. I really like the voice of the vocalist and the songs are different from each other, something that is not common now in the VK. Enjoy it!

Not sure about "of all time," but it is a marvellous album, and definitely AOTY material. ザアザア are one of the few VK bands I still hype the fuck out of.

A bit too long and samey for me, but it was okay. Definitely better than some recent releases I guess.

I love XAA-XAA but I personally didn't really enjoy the album that much.
A couple songs stuck out to me and had potential but they fell short in my opinion (排水口, ラストダンス, ユメオチ) . I enjoy 不幸の始まり live but it falls in the same group of songs mentioned previously. There are some songs that I don't like at all and skip every time they come up on shuffle (ぐちゃぐちゃ, 恋人ごっこ, 寄り道) and the rest is just kinda whatever to me.

@Mamo if that was their intention, they should've put in more effort cuz I sure don't listen to most of those bands......js

@Serox Damn right. They're one the best vk bands of the last two decades.

I saw them live and they are pretty great, and unvelievably nice. They only improved since Yuu joined.

Yes, when Yuu joined they gotten better, (But still not the music I like) Some songs I like. But many just don't hit my taste, but musically it's really amazing. 
I liked them before Starwave the most. <- just that time of music I dig more. 

And when Kazuya was also part of the band I didn't like them at all. (-o-)~

But when Tak still was part of the band in the starwave time, Tak just got too busy to even concentrate on soundbee (because of Calmando Qual, dieS and some other bands he supported) And you could hear that clearly too.
