Before the page at the Regency Ballroom (SanFran venue) website went 404, I'm pretty sure it said that the tickets were supposed to go on sale on January 6th.

Dir en grey' six UGLY and VULGAR
Both limited editions. I've been searching around for ages for a limited edition copy of VULGAR that wasn't in beat-up condition.
The seller of these two CDs claimed them both to be in "美品" (mint condition), which is not true for VULGAR; I would say that one is in "very good" condition.
I was crushed to discover that not only was there a vinyl pressing of VULGAR, but it was limited to TEN FUCKING COPIES. Brokoro!

I'm also kinda getting tired of the two-month consecutive singles routine. It's really hard for me to hype bands when they only release singles. I'm an album kind of guy.
Tsk and Koichi look awesome, especially Tsu; loving his occult look. Meto looks fucking weird as usual.

When I saw this image in the UGLY news thread, I was so certain the 5th Movement (or FINALE, whatever) would be a live DVD. I'm glad it's more music, though!
I'm fucking psyched for this single! I have fallen in love with DOGMA and UGLY And assuming this single wasn't written/recorded alongside those two, I'm sure it'll give us a better indication of what's to come. I'm guessing this single will be released in March at the earliest.

What's a good place to start with this band? I REALLY liked their 'kyuubi' single and the tracks they had on the 'FAMILY PARTY' compilation!
I've been into the band for about three years, but there was never anything that got me to "jump in" to their discography. 九尾 is one of my favourite singles of theirs. My other favourite single is アカイミハジケタ, off of the album 暁歌水月 (きょかすいげつ). I guess try 暁歌水月, because it seems to be their most "engaging" album.

none of their releases chart on US iTunes
I know you're probably just talking about Top 10 charts, but when BEAUTIFUL DEFORMITY was released, it reached 156 in the top 200 overall on the US iTunes store (source). I know that's nothing compared to the albums charting in the top ten on iTunes metal charts in various European countries, but it's still something. I didn't check to see if DOGMA made the charts, but I remember seeing it on the "new releases page" when it was released.

Why should I be surprised? These assholes also indefinitely postponed a DVD and cancelled a single release, so of course they'd fucking postpone the album as well! I don't think I can trust these guys to actually follow through with a release.

Pics are so potato quality; click on 'em to zoom. I like how the artwork/layout has been put together. I usually feel like R指定's CD artwork is so cheaply done, especially in recent years, but with this album, it looks like a lot of thought was put into the artwork.

Well, thanks to the preview video, I now have a new ringtone. I seriously cannot get the chorus of UGLY out of my head. I have only heard potato quality radio rips and low-ish quality previews and I'm already in love with the song. I went ahead and pre-ordered the limited edition, as my feelings towards GODDESS haven't changed.

UGLY is fucking awesome, I've been listening to the shitty radio rip over and over again for days (I never do that... ever). DEPRAVITY also sounds awesome so far. Unfortunately, I'm not really digging GODDESS, maybe the chorus just isn't that good, idk. I like that they're continuing from the DOGMA sound, but I'm not sure if that's just because they wrote the songs (and recorded them) right after the album.

I was actually thinking of flying into LA for that show, just because there's more people here in the LA area, but it's on a Tuesday, which would be impossible for me to manage.
I may not be able to go to the SF show either, because it's on a Sunday and I work on Sundays. I might still buy a ticket to the show (in advance) just in case I can get that day off.
