    How does Kiryu still use the same Shamisen samples after all these years? Especially after seriously upgrading the Shakuhachi and Koto samples. Meanwhile the same Shamisen used all over Shuka Ensen is still used.

      Ok, I take it back a little bit, but still, you have to listen closely to tell the difference, and it's not even a realistic sounding sample, except for a few rare cases with some Tsugaru Shamisen

    I think it's funny when people talk about how much soul and passion old school Hip Hop had... on a 2 Live Crew video. I mean, I love old school way better than new school myself... but 2 live crew?

      But spawning the entire Southern American Hip Hop scene (minus Outkast, Ludacris and pre-2010 Texas rappers. Those are the exception) is unforgivable lol

    Does anyone know any Japanese Boom Bap? I feel like there is probably a lot of good Japanese Hip Hop out there, but I'm wondering if there is any specifically boom bap stuff there, as I much prefer Boom Bap over Trap

    Uploaded the DVD, but it's still in 360p. It should be finished processing any time soon

    - Update - It's in 1080p now (the raw .vob files are in 480p but I encoded this 1080p)

      @Shadowtear I was just adding them to a rar archive to put on mediafire for anyone who wants the raw files. I combined all the files into one video for uploading to youtube, and possibly uploading to Mediafire

      Ah, I wish I got to this status earlier. There's software for .vob merging, so you wouldn't have to stitch/re-encode them together in a video editor. https://www.videohelp.com/software/VOBMerge

       

      You could also use Handbrake to do MP4 rips, etc. from the DVD (libdvdcss can circumvent copy protection)

    It's been kind of a while since I've last really been here, and I want to get back into using this forum again, and I kind of want to explain some stuff. 

    First off, I don't deal with Tetsuya anymore. I won't go into all the details (you can just pm me if you want, because it's super complicated) but you don't have to see me promoting D:[ab]-e anymore. 

    2nd off, I will be returning, but my presence won't be as much. but I hope that I'm welcome back after taking a break and hopefully can keep myself out of trouble and drama.

      I think Noah himself preformed in the US a few times, if I'm correct. 

      And there is that agency that got Morrigan and Rides in Revelion to preform outside Japan.

      AN has brought more than one band for most of the years I've gone (I think the only recent exception was the year with just Matenrou Opera?), so there might still be some VK. Honestly, even if it's just BACK-ON this year, we got metronome last time, so I can't say it bothers me. 

       

      Yeah, Avanchick definitely went to the US. There's like a full video of it up on Tokyo in Tulsa's Youtube. As far as I know, NOAH never went overseas as a solo artist, he just started selling some solo merch overseas through Chaotic Harmony.

       

      It does seem like there's been a bit of a decline, but there are definitely still a few other conventions in North America that usually bring VK bands.

      Kinda hard not to sleep on them when all they released is impossible to get live limited cds. Until they finally got uploaded here. Also they aren't that great which is probably why they disbanded.
