Started listening to this band again, just for old time's sake. The first Vkei band I ever got into
Still salty over Kurona basically abandoning this.
-
After playing Fallout 3 for the first time in a LONG time, I remember how much I love the sound track. The occasional Dizi (Chinese flute) really gives an ethnic feel and is fitting for the setting.
-
Anyone know what happened to that one Japanese Horror Rock band that Tenchigaraku and Jazz Drummer Kozo Suganama did a collab cover of, called Makai Shoujo Ken?
-
I'm now Wataru's Punching Bag. Now when do I become Yayoi's (not the Vice Risk one, nor the Mirage one, but the crappy one I showed) Talent? xD
-
That moment when you like both versions of Kagrra's "Kotodama", so you combine the two, using the 2nd version as the intro to the original xD
-
Wow. There exists someone who is crappier than Maria Cross.
-
what do you mean? everything is crappier than our lord and savoir Maria Cross

Facebook is recommending Kiwamu's actual FB for me to add... I'm wondering whether I should, just for shits and giggles, or not. Didn't he one day randomly say he hated his overseas fans?
-
send him nudes

*Takes picture of Arm for Kiwamu* I'm technically naked, so it's technically nude
*Takes picture of closed shoulder* Ooh getting risque here

I asked You (sound bee hd) in person about Kiwamu and she made a face, laughed, and refused to comment anything other than "he's not a bad producer" xD

Can anyone give any consistent info on when Soleil closed? Vkei encyclopedia says 1999, but there are Soleil releases going on into 2003, like the Soleil Treasure omnibus released in 2000
-
http://weloveucp.com/blog/what-s-soleil-a-brief-history/
@inartistic did a writeup about Soleil and says they closed their doors in 2002
-
@IGM_OficialI thought it was the other way around, that Soleil closed and Matina survived? Because Syndrome was a matina band and formed in 2000
-
@Biopanda Thank you!!
@IGM_OficialVisualKei encyclopedia is a wiki page about Vkei bands and such

Under... by Kuroyume really reminds me of Spellbound by Sioxusie and the Banshees. Probably because of the aggressive use of acoustic guitars
-
Vexent basically did a Metal cover of "Chain Hang Low" from Jibbs. This is the best thing ever
-
I wonder, have any Vkei bands used the idea of the Japanese Biker as a concept?
-
Yes! But then you need to dig more "underground". go to Punk visual kei.

Oh wow. I have 3 Vkei accounts following me on Twitter. Kuromitsu (ex. Welektel Shiki), Hayate (ex. GossiP, AKA Tetsurou. ALSO IT'S HIS PRIVATE ACCOUNT FOLLOWING ME! XD) and Under Fall Justice
-
Seeing that lyric analysis makes me realise how much I miss Kagerou. I mean, there won't be another band like them. The only one that comes close is GossiP, but GossiP focuses on a main concept. Kagerou wasn't afraid to explore while still maintaining their signature style and sound.
RIP Daisuke.
-
Me too... I miss Daisuke so bad it feel surreal it's going to be 7 years already since he passed away

I wonder, does anyone know if the rumour that La'Mule spent more time with fans than in studio true? I know they have a literal ton of unreleased tracks and all. (I'm gonna hear them all soon since I'm buying their history DVD, History of Blood).
-
Where is my thank you for getting VisualIoner to change the title of why Paranoid Circus disbanded? xD
Honestly, I don't think he had any ill intent, but some fans only just read the headline.
-
aww ;u; u seems cool too !

Anyone remember Sex Android's attempt at an Enka song?
I always wondered, what that song was about. Ironically, Yu-dai isn't horribly failing at Enka vocals, that's just his natural voice xD.
-
Legend has it, Desiigner's parents are still waiting on his first words.
Legend also has it, Lil Yachty secretly was once barney, and now has an eternal head cold and is addicted to anaesthetics.

Just started watching Seth et Holth and not 3 minutes in and Hide is licking Tusk's eye...
What the actual fuck? I was expecting a psychadelic film, not an eroguro film
-
And I just got another idea related to my last one: Make a custom PV for Dir en Grey's remake of Karma, by using footage from the two PVs for the old version (including footage from the other Kaede ~If Trans~ Pvs that were used in the original) old live footage from Mousou Kakugaigeki, and that one scene from Reiketsu Nariseba.
-
I just thought of a really cool idea. What if someone mixed both the old and new versions of Dir en Grey's Zan? By taking the vocals of the old version and putting them over the instrumentals of the new version. Perhaps making it where Kyo alternates between singing and growling.
I could probably do this, if I had the correct audio programs to extract the vocals from the old Zan. But.. my laptop that allowed me to do that is broken, so.. yeah it'll forever be just an idea
-
Yeah. Part of me thinks a mix of Kiri to Mayu would also work, since the remake seems like it would be where I could splice up the song structure. The remake of Tsumi to Batsu could also function as a little intro for the original. Gah, why must my laptop be broken, and all I'm left with is a chromebook? xD

2 steps ahead of you sis

The version of Grieva's Tokage in the PV spot and the version released on the DVD and Album sound so different and it annoys me. Like, I want to hear the full version of the one that came with the PV spot, but the actual audio was only released once.
Unless someone can come across some rare "single" version. I notice on the tracklisting of the DVD it's PV was released on, it said "Album version"
-
Obscure business gimmickery, maybe?
-

Possibly, but better not be. The guitars on the PV spot sound fuller. It all fits together more.
But it's definitely possible they could have pulled a Shinjou Kasumi and decide to re-record it, and only use that rerecording (the huge irony is that Reload, Grieva's old band, used to be managed by Shinjou Kasumi)
