I think I fed into the bias too much and  I feel like it just doesn't hold up to past releases imho

it's another of Ao's side projects, i think it was also during the interval between cali gari's original hiatus and their comeback, but before Lab if i'm not wrong?? Might be wrong there, not sure about the chronology, there's not a lot of info available about this project in English... Anyway, the chorus of one of the FIGURE'71 songs was also 'recycled' for the ending of Lab's 'TOKYO DOGS'. I'd say generally the sound is  closer to like Dai 6 - Dai 8 era cali gari than Lab.'s sound

I don't take time to listen their recent work, but i highly recommend the " haiiro " mini album, one of the best mini i ever heard. Every song is perfect.

I do actually remember those two songs. I had a friend that were into them - He would always try to get me to listen to Nightmare, and I tried to get him into PIERROT. Never worked out I guess, haha.

tbh I'm one of the few that really liked his solo mini-album (he has an incredibly versatile voice), but I agree – That rapping goes way too far in the wrong direction. LILITH is exactly what I was hoping for from them. Let's hope there's more LILITH and less YUMMY on the next release lol

Also, I think I'm just going to call this band ZERO MIND INFINITY anyway because breakin' holiday is one of the worst engrish band names I've ever ever'd.

Totally, that sweet djent sound is back and better than ever before. They really need to elaborate on that and drop those low-grade synth openings on every A-side track.

It's not my fave, but there's a lot to like! Irotsuki really sticks out to me, and Existentialism gives me big deadman vibes, haha. Overall, it's pretty good.

Okay guys, after a full day of listening this has totally won me over. Not a fan of ZERO SUM GAME, but there are some real gems on this. トイレでGO! + 汚れた夜 + 色悪 are really solid upon my 6-7 listens. This one was a grower for me. I got into these guys around 9 and 10 so I'm used to (and a big fan of) their new stuff, but I can see connections between pre-8 era stuff and this and I like it.
