  1. I went to the live on Monday and had a lot of fun despite that it was their first live so everyone didn't know what to do for furi. lol

All of the songs they played were pretty much kuroyuri 2.0. Wasn't a fan of the ballad they did but the other six songs were good, especially the sixth one (the one in the Twitter preview) and the last one they played which featured moshing and gyakudai.

I thought it was cute how Mei took time at the beginning of their set to introduce the members and gave everyone some time to speak. You could see how close they all are.

They joked around a lot, too. I like that they're not taking themselves too seriously as they are a session band.

    Team Retsu tbh

Tbh they're both assholes but the main difference is that Retsu is just young and stubborn and Issei is an actual steaming piece of shit.

Mio and Uta are actually fans of Dimlim. There's no bad blood between the bands. It's 100% Retsu vs Issei.

At first I was really reluctant to try out Nazare because of Issei but I actually kinda like them enough to want to check them out live. My friends told me their first oneman was fun so I'm hoping to go to their next one at Edge.

Mio's not Sho but he's also really good for a noob.

The mixing of the album is fucking terrible though.

Please keep doing so, submitting them to setlist.fm would be a good idea as well if you have time. This band is going places and it's good to document as much of the early history as possible.

I looked into submitting them there but it seems like a bit of a hassle so I will just continue to post them here for the time being until I figure it out.

After another fan mistreatment scandal, Issei will leave Nazare. The remaining musicians will stick together, the songwriting will improve drastically and they will become the next big thing.

I just want to let ya'll know that Issei left Dimlim because he and Retsu don't get along anymore, NOT because of him harassing a minor on the internet.
However, I also have a feeling that Issei will eventually leave Nazare. It sounds like he's difficult to work with.

    And some predictions:

    - DIMLIM will get more fans but won't come close to selling out O-WEST (just being realistic). However, regardless of the outcome of that live they will not disband this year. In addition to 離人 they might also release another single or a mini album at the end of the year.

    - XAA-XAA will continue to release two-type singles every 3-4 months despite not releasing an album in almost two years. (The album was terrible though so I don't blame them lol)

    - Amai Bouryoku will continue to only release live limited singles and mini albums consisting mostly of garbage with a good song mixed in once in a while. They will continue to have onemans at AREA/MUSE or similar sized venues throughout the year.

    - DEZERT will continue to suck the MUCC dick.

    - Kizu will have a oneman at Tokyo Dome City Hall or Studio Coast.

    - Jiluka will up the cap of their next big oneman in Tokyo despite not coming close to selling out Club Quattro.

    - Nokubura is gonna beat that dead horse into the ground and break up sometime this year or early next year.

    - Meto will slowly fade away into obscurity until Mejibray comes back (they won't).

  6. I'm 100% okay with them taking their time making good music instead of pumping out mediocre releases every 3 months tbh.

They're gonna be touring in January and March so I'm sure they're focusing on that at the moment.

    But regardless I'm super pumped.

Side note: If anyone has the opportunity to go please see them. Its an amazing experience and this will be the bands biggest show yet so it will mean a lot to them.

If any of you guys are planning on going to the O-West oneman and need tickets feel free to ask me. I won't charge any shopping service fees. The preorder starts in April.

@Duwangdo you also happen to know their setlist for 12/16 (Metal Square vol.4 on)? The source I'm seeing says they only played 4 songs...

I do. They did only play four songs, but the set list on that website is wrong. They played vanitas, Ambitious Principles, THE SILENT SONG, and シガラミ in that order.

They were about to start playing 愛憎につき... but they had really bad technical difficulties they weren't able to recover from. Sho stalled for about 10 minutes by doing like an acapella version? of 愛憎につき... and some recitations with Retsu creating ambiance with his guitar but Hiroshi couldn't get the PC to work and the venue staff told them to stop playing.
I felt so bad for them because it was a big event they were really looking forward to and a lot of people were watching but I'm also impressed that Sho turned a bad situation into an emotional performance. It made me realize just how good of a performer he is. Mad respect for him.

  8. Dimlim announced a new single for June. I forgot the title (I think its 離人 ?) and no details yet so I'm posting it in this thread for now.

Also, set list for their countdown live (not in order after Ambitious. Sorry I was drunk)

    アハレワタ
    vanitas

    Ambitious principles
    Malformation

    Mad [K]

    Grotesque
    ...物狂ひ...なりて
    Innocent Passion

    初潮

    愛憎につき...
    虚妄の歌

    THE SILENT SONG

    シガラミ

  9. Of course its great to sell out a venue regardless of size, however, they legitimately sold out bigger venues when Roji was still in the band and before that crazy girl started coming. I don't think they'll ever reach the same level of popularity they had around the time they released 雨に殺される.

I wouldn't go so far as to call them scummy but speaking as a long time fan I don't approve of some of the ways XAA-XAA are selling themselves recently, ie having more instores than lives, raising oneman ticket prices when they're still not a big band, having a 50,000 yen ($500)  fanclub trip to Nagano when bigger bands like Royz and Diaura have better trips for around the same price, etc.

I still wish them the best, though.

As for An, yes, he's not as popular as the other three but the old fans have warmed up to him and he has gotten a few more fans besides those who followed him from Elm.

I personally still don't like him but I was a big fan of Roji.

This is awesome really looking forward to the live dvd.

    Need a set list xD

Not the exact order but I can tell you what they played

    青いレインコート

    コワいクライ

    死にたい

    カミソリ

    排水口

    大雨警報発令

    不感症

    青空やめて

    人間界からの手紙

    雪時計

    どす黒い

    ピストル

アサガオが泣いてる(but they cut it? It seemed to be on purpose because Kazuki made a joke about it but it was weird)

    ラブレター

    マザレナイ

感電、けがの恐れがあります x2 (first time normal, second time just instrumental until the chorus and then Kazuki had us do wall of death then the usual mosh)

    Encore 1

    寄り道

    のろいうた

    チューリップ

    うそつき

    Encore 2

    反骨ドッグ
(This was definitely unplanned cause the camera crew was already packing up when they came back out. Also about half of the crowd had already left to line up for buppan so everyone was pushing and shoving to get back in. I honestly think that was a bad call on their part.)

They are really on a tear right now. A couple of their recent singles got picked up by Family Mart radio, so it was being played around konbinis all over Japan and that really helped them. I think every show from the last tour, plus 雨の日, sold out.

Timely paid for the Family Mart radio promos. Dadaroma and Razor also got them for almost all their releases since last fall. Idk how much that really helped them, though. I saw two big changes in the crowd this year, but rather than the radio promo I think it was because they played with Dadaroma, Razor and DOF a lot. There are a lot of Dadaroma fans that started coming from the twoman tour last year and the kaenbin tour this year.

Also no, not every show from the last tour sold out. Both days in Nagoya, Osaka and Tokyo and one of the days in Sendai  were sold out but for the whole tour they only played at super small venues that hold around 100-130ish people. So yeah, sold out but they only played to a small crowd.

Yesterday was technically "sold out" in that all the tickets were sold but the venue wasn't completely filled. There was a crazy girl who bought 70 tickets and definitely didn't sell all of her extras. The same girl did this shit on Halloween as well which was also "sold out".

XAA-XAA also likes to say lives are sold out when they're not so don't trust them on that. (speaking as a fan)

I really like their crazy side tracks (e.g. 排水口 / ピストル / のろいうた / ラブレター / ララララ ...etc)
Recently listening back to Belmosaic, I found some similarity,
just wondering if they will ever play their songs since 一葵 composed most of it ?

I've been going to XAA-XAA's lives for almost 3 years and I can tell you with confidence they will never play Belmosaic songs. They have no reason to.

名も無き空へ, however, was originally a song from 6-sense (Kazuki, Reiya and Haru's band before Belmosaic) but I haven't heard them play it since Roji left the band.

I was more using the term "blacklisted" jokingly, as in, I was told that nobody in the Vkei scene wanted to work with him, so he had to go to other means lol.

    Sorry, I done goofed.

Well he's close with the Pingame guys and a bunch of other indiefags he plays with.

He's also still close with the other Avanchick guys, mostly Hyuga. Hyuga did drums for Noah Project pretty much the entire time.

Really? I heard he turned Non-Vkei after failing to get a following in the US.

What does not getting a following in the US have anything to do with what Noah does in Japan? lmfao.

I haven't been following the ex-Avanchick guys very closely but I've seen Noah Project play with Amai Bouryoku and Gosan a few times in the past year (maybe late 2017, early 2018?).

I know Noah has a lot of haters and I don't particularly like or dislike him but he hasn't fucked with any yakuza as far as I know so I doubt he's blacklisted.

Even if he was that doesn't really matter cause he's pretty much the co-owner of Club Science. He could just keep playing there.

So Noah is Vkei (somewhat) again?

Here I am thinking he was basically kicked out of Vkei and had to turn non-Vkei

    What. No. lol

He's had his own project (NOAH Project) and has been doing sessions with other bandmen for the past year.

  14. I'm surprised no one brought up that this tv program confirmed the 6 year old rumors about Natsuki dating/marrying one of his fans.

They seem to be happy. Good for them.

Also listening to OZ for the first time since the last live and feeling nostalgic. OZ will always be one of my favorite bands.
