Dimlim has some label named DUM from what i can tell but yeah everything you said makes sense

That's not their label. They just released Chedoara under that name. They released The Silent Song and Various under "Ultimate Illuminati".

For comparison, Gallo released a lot of their music under エンペラーレコード (Emperor Records) when they weren't signed.

If record labels help cover some expenses how do bands like kizu, dimlim, and mamireta start off. They're the only bands on their label so it seems like they are their own label as far as I can tell

Kizu, Dimlim, and Mamireta are all in completely different situations.

Kizu has their own label, but they didn't start from scratch. Lime and Reiki (mostly Lime) were already well established musicians so I doubt money was ever an issue for them.

Mamireta is on a label, Punch Records, which is a sublabel of Forum aka the label Mejibray was on. They are not the only band on Punch records, KRAD is on there as well. Sounds like they self-produced their first two releases and distributed them through Like An Edison before being signed, so I'm gonna assume they pulled money together and/or took out a loan. (Taking out loans is super easy in Japan from what I've heard)

Now money is clearly not an issue.

Dimlim is self-produced. They don't have a label, they do everything themselves and Retsu kind of acts like a leader/manager since Issei got the boot. If you're thinking Ong distribution is their label, it is not. Ong is a distribution company through which arists without labels can put their music in CD shops throughout Japan. Gallo self-produced and distributed their music through Ong for years before being signed by Terakoya.
I'm going to assume they, too, pooled money together/took out a loan when they first started and got a lot of help from Issei who has a lot of band experience.

    - XAA-XAA disbands  They've proven to be too stubborn to break up. When I wrote this they were in bad shape, though. Glad they proved me wrong.
    - If XAA-XAA doesn't disband before September: XAA-XAA/DADAROMA twoman tour #3.  They did a twoman tour with Neverland instead because DADAROMA went on hiatus.
    - Whenever XAA-XAA disbands: Kazuki and Reiya will form a new band.  xax is still going strong

    - DEZERT will continue to suck MUCC dick and release crap.  Nailed it.
    - Kizu will have a oneman either at Akasaka Blitz or Tsutaya O-EAST.  They did Zepp which is even bigger.

    - JILUKA will have their 6th official oneman become their 11th or 12th actual oneman.

    - DADAROMA will continue to pump out releases of varying quality in short intervals.

    - There will be some sort of drama related to 0.1g no Gosan.  No surprise there.

    - Mejibray will be done for good as of the 22nd.  Maybe not next year but in 2019 Tsuzuku and Koichi will form a new band.  They made a new band earlier than I estimated though.
    - Some ex-bandman will open a cat cafe. ??? (There's still time)

Sena from Jiluka allegedly knows English, he stated in an interview he studied in Seattle, but the shy fucker refuses to speak it (even though he told me "you can talk to me in English if you want" -.-)

Sena can read, write, and understand English pretty well but yeah he's too shy to speak it. Even when my Japanese was terrible he refused to speak to me in English, but he was always extremely patient with listening to me. He's a good dude. Never knew he studied in Seattle though ??? That's interesting

That being said, if you write to him or speak to him in English he will understand.

He's long gone but Roji (ex-XAA-XAA) is pretty good at English. He's not fluent but his listening comprehension is quite high and he can maintain conversations if he tries. He knows quite a bit of slang as well. I still wonder where he learned English.

    Ellaborate then

Just read the replies to Mamo's tweets. R-Shitei fans are infamous for being absolute wackadoodles.

Razor fans are also pretty fucking terrible. I've been to hundreds of visual kei lives in Japan and the only times I've had major issues with fans were the lives I went to where Razor appeared.

The majority of them are extremely rude and super violent at event lives. Last time I saw them the girls behind me and my friends were constantly banging into and kicking us during the other bands. NOT during Razor. I elbowed one of those girls in the face and she kept oritatamiing into my spine. My back was fucked up for over a week.

Kizu has a lot of shitty fans, too. Things were fine last year but since their O-West oneman in January I've noticed similar behavior among their fans.

Meto- 1991 (rumor- his brother is the lead singer of Baboo)

Meto is younger than Mia. i'm pretty sure he was born in 1993 making him 25.

I can tell you for the bands I follow:

    XAA-XAA

    Kazuki 29

    Haru 29

    Reiya 34

An idk for sure but he's the youngest. My guess is 27 or 28.

    Amai Bouryoku

    Saki 32

    Kei 22

Aya and Yoshi are older than Saki but idk by how much.

    JILUKA

Sena 25 (he accidentally dropped a hint about his age as I was talking to him)

The others are allegedly around the same age give or take a year but I think Zyean might be a bit older.

    DIMLIM

    Ryuya 23

    Retsu 21 or 22

    Taishi 27 or 28

Sho 26 (that's what I heard from the Japanese fans but no one knows for sure)

Hiroshi idk but probably around the same age as Sho and Taishi.

(Another proof that it is Len because he will follow the other EX-The Black Swan members LOL)

    It is Len.

There have been rumors about him being the new drummer before Yusuke even left the band so I'm not really surprised.

I also feel like XaaXaa will disband or take an indefinite hiatus soon. I hear they haven't been the greatest since their previous drummer left and the new one is always messing up songs.

DIMLIM Probably, though I wish and hope they don't because I like them.

I've been going to XAA-XAA regularly for a couple of years and I, too, thought they were going to disband. Last year after Roji  left they reached rock bottom. Their live attendance was pitiful for a good 6-7 months, but they've got their fire back despite An being a terrible drummer. Theyve gained a lot of new fans recently and some of the fans who stopped going started coming again.

I also think Kazuki is too stubborn to let the band break up so I don't think theyll disband soon.

As for DIMLIM, their taiban attendance is still pretty low but they have plenty of people at onemans. They're doing better now than they were last year.

    Dimlim (they're still going right?)

Why? They didn't even go on hiatus when Tsubasa and Issei (who was their main composer) left and they're doing better now than they were last year.

    THE GALLO:

Not because I have seen signs of disbandment, just bcuz they are the only solid thing left in vk to me and all my other favorite bands have disbanded.

So I kinda developed some sort of " Disband-Phobia" , which makes me think that I'm gonna lose them too anytime.

They just got signed to Terakoya. I think they're fine.

DaizyStripper, Matenrou Opera, and D are all doing fine, too. I don't think any of them will disband within the next year or two despite being around for a long time.

Are ya'll just pulling names out of a hat or something. Many of these predictions seem pretty baseless to me.

Also, good fucking god, can Ricko's lyrics be any more cringy? "ELIZA" lyrics make me feel ashamed of myself for listening to it. This dude should simply write in japanese, his english pretty much only consist of  "MOTHERFUCKER BITCH BLEGH"

Ricko doesn't write the lyrics, Sena does. Jiluka's music is 100% written by Sena.

As for my opinion about the album, it's pretty meh imo. I'm of a similar opinion as 123Sandman321. Everything sounds like copy/paste to me. Sena is a really talented guy but I'm disappointed by the lack of diversity, yet at the same time I'm not too surprised that I didn't like the album since I haven't really liked anything they've put out for a while. I've also stopped going to their lives cause they never change their set lists. Everything about them is so futsuu these days imo.

  11. Chedoara is hands down my favorite release this year so far. I like Vanitas, Malformation, and Shigarami the most but I like all the songs. I wasn't really into Ambitiosus (Ambitious?) Principles upon first listen but it's a lot of fun live so I like it a lot now.

Speaking of lives, I got some set lists for you guys. I went to all of Dimlim's lives this past week.

    9/21 at Ikebukuro Edge

    1. Grotesque

    2. Malformation

    3. THE SILENT SONG

    4. Shigarami

    5. Ambitious Principles

    6. vanitas

    7. Aizou ni tsuki

    9/24 at Shibuya Chelsea Hotel

They played all of the album songs but not quite in the order of the album. Started with Grotesque and ended with Hito to Katachi but everything else in the middle was switched around.

Sadly it was only about 40 minutes long despite being a oneman but it was free so I can't complain.

    9/26 at Takadanobaba Area

    1. Grotesque

    2. D. Hymnus

    3. Malformation

    4. vanitas

    5. Aizou ni tsuki

  12. Just a couple of things I thought I'd mention:

麺かぶり無理 refers to when bangya hate other bangya who like the same bandmen as them. They're making a pun cause the speaker ordered the same ramen as her friend and 麺 = noodles as well as bandmen.
匂わせ is when someone hints that something is happening/going on without directly saying it.
    ☆ko-san = Hoshiko-san aka vk oyaji

  13. They're having an instore at Tower Records Shibuya (talk + CD jacket signing) and a oneman at Chelsea Hotel on September 24th.

The oneman is free to those who bring a copy of the album. Tickets will be shuffled and distributed  in front of the venue on the day of.

They had a free instore at Shibuya Zeal Link on Saturday as well. I think they're taking good steps to promote themselves.
