Managed to catch a rare screening of The Lighthouse. Amazing atmosphere, visuals and acting all around.  I couldn't have hoped for a better 2nd movie from Robert Eggers, great job! Completely sucked me in, and after the movie was over it was a really weird feeling to leave the theater and go back to the 'real world', haha. Also, in a perfect world Willem Dafoe and Robert Pattinson would get nominated for (and win) an Oscar for what they did here.

A little extra info: the title track was composed by Hisashi, while the B-side is by Hidehiko. Both songs' lyrics are by Atsushi.

This was the last thing I expected but this kinda sounds like (latter-era) Guniw Tools, lol.

 if your band meets at least two of the below criteria:

- have your cover artwork be drawn by Suehiro Maruo
- perform short skits during gigs
- use melodies reminiscent of kayoukyoku in your songs
- design your outfits based on school uniforms
- have at least one song about (pre-/post-/mid-)WWII and/or nationalism

If I understood it correctly, they mentioned on the official blog/site that it's going to be a more melancholy sound (that won't "fit" with their major label stuff as they're self-releasing this as indies).

edit: Looks like it's the joint account for the vocalist and the guitarist of the original Hotaru lineup.
