edit: I tried to dig up some info on how "堕天使" sounds on blogs/Twitter, but couldn't rly find much. The only thing ppl mentioned about it that it was unusual/unexpected, and someone said the intro reminded them of "American rock", whatever that might entail, lol.

It will probably just be some live announcement, I don't think we're realistically getting a new album from them at this point (but let them prove me wrong! heh).

Only the material from 2003 to early 2006 is real, the rest is just different shades of embarrassing imo.

Also I just noticed that the version being sold at CDJapan has an extra CD-ROM that features the 6 tracks of the mini album but mastered differently (geared towards smartphone / portable music players). I'm kinda lost at this point what the differences are between the types, but if this is the one that's sold by CDJ then this is the one I'm gonna get.

Actually the Hernia tracks sound pretty different from each other (unless they purposefully show different parts of each, lol)

Finally had time to catch up on some metal releases.

Nile - Vile Nilotic Rites: Pretty massive album, for me it was a step up from their previous one (which I didn't hate but didn't love either). Solid stuff.

Blood Incantation - Hidden History of the Human Race: Just overall amazing and intricate. If you want more proggy death, this is the way to go.

Cattle Decapitation - Death Atlas: Their most ambitious release yet. The songs kinda blur into each other for me, but it's one giant slab of awesome.

Cradle of Filth - Cruelty and the Beast (Re-Mistressed): It's okay. That's it.

Still have to check out the latest Mayhem and Obsequiae...

That video might just be one of my favorite VK vids this year. The song is decent enough / nothing special, but the visual style is on point!

edit: yikes, those samples tho. 3 or 4 of them sounded pretty nice, the rest I'd rather forget. Oh well.

It's an old song they played back before their debut album days, but then re-recorded in 2009.
