...and with one image, suddenly XA-VAT's and SPEECIES' styles morphed together, lol.

As promised, some more faves of mine (this time it's "covers that don't actually depict band members" edition, lol).

CDJapan carried it till it was sold out (god knows how many copies they stocked), but I noticed it too late too.
Other than that it was only sold at a couple of gigs.

Seeing how Atsushi & co have so many '80s goth/new wave favorites, this parallel isn't so surprising:
The general vibe of "Russian Roulette" by The Lords of the New Church (1982)...
Spoiler...reminded me of the original album version of BUCK-TICK's "VICTIMS OF LOVE" (1988).
Spoiler(couldn't find a studio version of this on YT, only the reworked versions)

If this has mostly non-album tracks I'll definitely buy a copy!
Also kinda worried about the timing, haha.

Currently slowly getting through a Hungarian book on posthumanism. Shit's pretty wild, man.
Also started (a Hungarian edition of) Karin Tidbeck's collection of short stories "Jagannath". So far so good. Also, shit's pretty wild, man. [2]

I literally lol'd at that name.
That said, the sample sounds so ridiculously over-the-top that this might just be worth checking out.

MEJIBRAY died so that Hueye could live.

Wow, these clips I just.... wow. Never thought I'd say this about THE BACK HORN but damn I almost barfed in my mouth for a bit there. Ugh.

Here are two as-of-yet-unreleased songs that Nile played yesterday, to be included on their upcoming album:
Whole gig was amazing btw.

I'm only here for the guy who has "MEME" tattooed on his neck.

Hagzissa sound quite unique and promising indeed, a friend of mine is currently working on bringing them to Budapest to play a gig. Would be cool.

That was surprisingly awesome! I'm getting a Dir en grey-ish ballad vibe from it (and yeah, some 9GBO or even sukekiyo).
Definitely gonna keep my eyes/ears on these guys~

Good setlist, but seeing how deadman only has perfect songs, it would be hard to make a bad live set.

Been enjoying that Véhémence album, some good medieval black metal this year. On that note, also heard those new Obsequiae tracks, should be good. And ofc can't wait for new Blood Incantation!
