  2. I used to want to be in the past but I love being black and having a lot of Japanese things be a daily part of my life. Its one of the things that makes me who i am. Id love to move there or be able to study there, which would be awesome.
  3. BEAUTIFUL DEFORMITY. Well done GazettE.

Props to Uruha for having the description of the album nailed. It was pretty much exactly "back to the basics" with a great effort put fourth into it. While Beautiful Deformity is no where close to being as amazing as DIM was, it most def is their most original album since that era. THIS was the album I wanted from them. I love the distinction between both Aoi and Uruha's parts which was very well missed. It sounds like you can tell clearly who wrote what song because it makes such an impact (more so than previous releases). Also, I get the feeling that the band really enjoyed making this album and while it is a back to the basic's album, I did notice that they did their best to add some spice and newness to the songs. INSIDE BEAST as a whole is pretty much a pretty damn good song that packs a lot of punch and is a lot more memorable than DERANGEMENT. Yes, Ill admit that the choruses could have been done better but I feel that the effort and overall song composition overshadows em. This is actually a release I really wouldn't mind putting money towards in the near future. It deserves it honestly. My faith in the band has been restored and they def exceeded my expectations (which were low...especially because of FADELESS). If you were expecting a brand new album, which is what I feel is the issue with a lot of the above posters...of course you'll be disappointed. However, if you want a refresher of what the band can do with no hold's barred, then this is it. Its similar to Girugamesh's new releases. It's a come back. Now its totally okay to expect them to actually explore and try new things in future releases. 4.5/5
  5. I really like what you have going here. Could use some work like everyone else said but it was very enjoyable to listen to!

I was under the assumption that this was indeed the case as well but I payed close attention to how DRIPPING INSANITY was played on MELT (which is the same thing as UNTITLED) and they used no open notes when it came to the chugging parts. They were indeed on the A# chord on their guitars which were still in drop B. And as for the drop C, songs, they still use Drop B. They just rely on the first fret to get the drop C sound. Watch FITB live or HESITATING, and you'll see it. Remember the Urge, I believe might be the only exception where I think they actually were tuned to Drop A# but i just watched the vid and i couldn't tell. For all we know it could be in Drop B as well. EDIT: Nakigahara I believe could be B also. Its in E sharp I believe...? Aoi and Uruha probably just used different guitars just because the sounds fit the sound and mood of the song better. I may be wrong on some of this so don't take my complete word on it. I'm not THAT knowledgeable on Guitar tech stuff as I should be.
  7. MEIJIBRAY is a joke. Why are they popular?

    1. Jun_

Probably because everyone loves Meto and I don't know why they love him so much '-'

    2. Dark Kinma

      Dark Kinma

Is the same for a lot of band, not just Mejibray, and the better band are unpopular, that exist since a while, the advantage of music, it's you don't like, you don't listen ^^

I'll start by saying that this release actually Rivals Cold Blood (which is what I believe is Sadie's Best album to date). Except for a few songs that I believe the album could do without (i'll get to that shortly), it was actually very enjoyable. With the exception of The Requiem, I do agree that the first few songs on the album are terrible. I wont even talk about them because they're just THAT bad to the point where Kaoru would shake his head in shame if he even bothered listening to them. Once we get to Kannou (best song on the album by the way), the album indeed does pick up and progresses from there. A lot of the songs sound like tracks that are pretty Original and Sadie tried their best on and didn't rely too much on their Dir methods, which I really appreciated. Compared to the Black Diamonds, this is such a step up and it shows that when Sadie wants to, they can def write awesome songs. I will say this though, they suffer the same thing the GazettE and 12012 (UNTIL THE SWAN), suffer from now. They're too comfortable with what they are doing and it does get tiring. Yes, its okay that Dir is a main influence but even Dir got influence from other bands, which is what they should start doing if they want to be taken seriously. But it seems like they're okay with being the shadow of what Dir was back in the day or being a copy band. Hey, its what got them famous to begin with and if thats what they wanna do, then whatevs. We'll still find thing's we like out of what they do anyways. I give this a 7.5/10

As much as I think this song and possibly the album will be legit, I really hope somewhere down the line they decide to change their tuning. They've done everything possible in drop B. Not saying they have to pull a Dir and go full drop A or something (even though Ruthless Deed is pretty nice), but some kind of change would be nice.

Sounds like a better, party/club version of DERANGEMENT which...isn't bad. Hmm.

Welp then by your logic, it seems like the band as of recently in terms of both Ruki's writing as well as the others, have thrown in the towel and just produce mediocre songs because they don't feel like trying anymore. And if they do try, its for two or three songs on a release while the rest is barely note worthy.
  14. Ro plz

I really hope the US gets MACABRE.
  15. Ro plz

I meant by both. And up till TOXIC I didn't see it as a "bad thing" necessarily because as evidence shows (even with Fadeless), its clear that Ruki isn't taking enough time to compose songs and is just flushing them out. And this ties into the whole doing as they are told thing. To me it seems like SONY has them by the neck with flushing things out year after year and since its Ruki who runs things, its his quickly/rushed produced songs that are the first up to be compiled into an album and that's what we get. As far as Uruha and Aoi go, they get to compose, tops like 1 or two songs. Since they're pressed for time as well, we get pretty legit tracks like YOIN and RUTHLESS DEED but because of time those songs aren't THAT great because they don't have time to polish them as well as they'd want or should be.

Go check who's the composer of most of the songs on their recent albums and then come back to me. And while I do agree that Nekk's post to Augie was out of nowhere, I can see why Augie's nonstop high praise of every single release would rub some people the wrong way. There's a fine line between finding high points in a release which is normal and giving what seems like an unnecessary high praise for what everyone with a brain can see is their last few releases which are really...REALLY mediocre at best. This is clearly not the same band that has the heart and passion they did years ago.

Awkward moment when bands, ESPECIALLY the GazettE could give a rats ass about what people "say or feel." They do as they are told or whatever Ruki is in the mood for, its the direction the band will take. No ifs and's or butts. Lol by your logic FADELESS (even though i think its a fairly decent song) wouldn't have been so blah...The only reason why Beautiful Deformity is on my radar, is because I really really....REALLY took what Uruha said in the MTV interview to heart and genuinely believe this album will be more original. DIVISION was solid but there was nothing special that stood out about it that gave the supposed to be feeling of "this is a GazettE" album. I hope this is different but with the short year span between that and DIVISION, I dont have my hopes up too high. Chances are each member bought up songs that they had in the vault (from god knows when) and just polished up for the demos and just finalized one it was time for pre production.
  18. I'm sorry but besides BatAAr a lot of the EU bands that are noticed in the J-rock fandom are Imo just terrible. They bring nothing new or exciting to the scene and this is no better. I'm convinced that they're just popular because they remind a lot of the fan girls and boys of their fav J-rockers. Just stop.

Awesome song title names as always. Not gonna be so quick to cum in my pants until I hear just what these songs are. Looks can be deceiving, especially with the GazettE. I'll chill.

The setlists that I've seen recently on this "world tour" are just bad. I could understand if they were playing in Japan and they stuck with these songs because they are still relatively fresh. This wouldn't be much of an issue if the recent few albums weren't as low tier. However, when doing a tour of this magnitude, one would think/expect Variety would be present. The oversea's fans really aren't getting much of a treat besides what, LEECH? FITB, BID, COCKROACH and LINDA? And most of those songs are pretty much staples in your average Gaze Set list. Despa (even though Monsters was a bit of a downer) , D.E.G. and I'm pretty sure even MIYAVI's setlist's were/are more varied and note worthy than what they're doing now. DIR EN GREY had this same issue back in 2010 when I saw them but I believe the case was that they hopped on last minute or something to Apo's tour which resulted in a time constraint on their sets. The GazettE legit has no excuse here, its a total one man(band) show with no openers and such. The people attending this may have a harsh response or feeling to what I or the above posters thoughts but facts are facts. This is terrible... EDIT: I saw GIRUGAMESH at Anime Boston a few years ago and even for a con/the fact that their recent material at the time was total chips, they too were able to provide a decent set for also a nice amount of time.

I'll just do an overall review on this album... This is by far one of the least fav albums they released. I was worried released those 2 singles especially Eclipse. What's happening to CROSSFAITH is what I feared once they started getting mainstream attention...the music is rapidly becoming lacking. Such a decline from ZION. I am disappointed.
