A really great album. This is the Girugamesh album that many have been waiting for and they delivered. Had high hopes for this one when INCOMPLETE came out and then Drain. My only complaint is the last few ending songs of the album. ESPECIALLY Zecchou Bang. When i heard this last year, I was convinced that they were done for good with no chance of returning. Its an ok song but the cheerleaders totally make it extremely cheesy and if I were Giru id be embarrassed to have that song in the discography/play it live. The rest of the ending songs are bearable but they throw off the mood of the album completely. Like how the hell do you go from really banging tracks to just all mellow? Regardless, its a nice come back album. Lets see what they do next. 7.5/10 Ending songs don't do it for me. if not, this rating would be higher.

I sense more simple ish songs like RINKAKU and THE UNRAVELING on this album. Its nice to think that they're toning it down a bit. From DSS to UNRAVELING, that's some pretty boss, heavy, and complex shyt.

I must be the minority in this but as far as their music goes, I've never been that impressed by it. Seems like they're on the same level as X-Japan as being too over hyped as the pioneers of J-Rock. Should I even bother with them or have I just been listening to the wrong stuff?

I was there! Obscure was played in the first set. Stuck man was played in the encore Karma was NOT played Dozing Green was played. Bugaboo was not played as well as Red Soil. Rest of it is legit.

I'm probably the minority but I loved it!

I also enjoyed DRAIN as well as INCOMPLETE. With Satoshi's new side band, I hope with this sound this can grow and evolve it more and the more poppish side can actually die and Satoshi can get his fill with those songs in that band. I am looking forward to MONSTER.
  9. 2013 seems to be a solid year for Jrock

2013 has been a geat year for the metal scene for sure. More specifically, the prog metal scene

  10. I was pretty damn impressed with this single. This is the second release I can say I actually like from MEJIBRAY. Maybe they're actually worth following. Well done. 4/5

Damn, I really hope the setlists vary as they travel across the states...

Sorry, I couldve sworn when I went to it earlier, the set wasn't there. Just now seeing it. Apologies.

setlist: http://www.setlist.fm/setlist/dir-en-grey/2013/trees-dallas-tx-23c4b83b.html I'm impressed and stoked even more!
  15. This release would've made more sense to release if the world tour was longer as well as if they visited more places. Totally pointless, especially with Beautiful Deformity that just dropped. If this was a tour documentary, this would be okay but this is legit a cry for more money >_> Greedy.

I really hope the songs I didn't get are gems but even if we get more or less of the same sets, Ill be happy either way.

I asked someone on twitter and while they didn't remember all the songs, they gave me a few. KARASU HAGESHISA THE FINAL KASUMI BOTTOM OF THE DEATH VALLEY KARMA DIFFERENT SENSE VINUSHKA RINKAKU

That's very interesting actually. It sounded like one of the songs I didn't really like off of TOXIC. If anything id say 黒く澄んだ空と残骸と片翅 is the replacement of Headache man. The studio version of Headache is perfect but it sounds hella awkward live.

I feel that this is the case for why Die also does side stuff (I believe he performed with some band last year. I forget who). Its very apparent that Kaoru is the "dictator " of the musical aspect of the band and while he does leave room for the other members to do their thing on a song, I wouldn't be surprised if they do other projects because they feel they get more room to show that individuality they might not feel they get to show in Diru. Just a hunch.

Bro you like what you like. Yeah some of us may have our different opinions and such but all is good at the end of the day homie
  21. Same could be said for the 2 previous GazettE albums as well as even earlier. The band goes in whatever Direction Ruki feels like at the moment. Its not too far fetched as to what's being said here.
  22. Whats the best position to record a bootleg of a show?

    1. Augie1995

      Augie1995

Either that or to either side of the stage if there's enough viewage in between any equipment and crowds. I usually only do that if the back center is too far back

    2. Biopanda

      Biopanda

I'd stray away from either of the sides as that would give your recording some pretty bad phasing. The best would be anywhere in the center, though the further you are towards the back, the better your recording will be. It's less of an issue if you've got good recording equipment, but for most people the back is the safest bet.
