I pretty much love every cover art by VIDOLL up until the point when they started using the band's promo pics for the covers. But my favorite by far is BASTARD. Also I adored Kameleo's album's cover art, both limited and regular edition, but posting a pic would be pointless, because the awesomeness of the covers doesn't rely on the art, but rather the style of the covers. The limited edition is a small, metallic box rather than a CD case and the regular edition cover is a hologram.

Not meaning to be butthurt or anything but are you familiar with the fact that Kiryu is neo japanesque band? Their whole concept revolves around being traditional. I don't think THAT has been done to death, meaning there haven't been many neo japanesque bands out there. I can name... three from VK scene. There are more cheap Dir en grey copies out there than bands who actually carry out traditional look and concept throughout their whole career.

There're a lot of old PVs in this thread, implying that maybe bands made better PVs in the past. I disagree though. One of the reasons I like カメレオ is their PVs. It seems like nowadays a lot of bands make those general photoshopped-to-shit, we're-playing-in-the-same-industrial-hall-as-everyone-else PVs, but not カメレオ. Most of their music videos actually have a story behind them. Yeah of course the band appears playing every now and then, but that isn't the main point. (Too bad their best PV yet, meaning Netsuzou pierrot is missing from youtube.) Yeah, their general idea seems to be about just the band playing but oh my god the colors. Okay no, some of their PVs do have a plot, and when they don't, there are still the colors. In short: all of them. Okay I heard like two songs by Diru and decided they're shit and ever since then I've listened to nothing. Nothing at all. I live in a vacuum. I don't even listen to myself. No, really. I just never cared about what someone thinks I SHOULD listen to. I don't need to listen to anything if I don't want to. And frankly, I don't.

Agreeing with everyone when it comes to Black Gene. I, if anyone, should like them. I used to be such a HC Rame fan than even his shit seemed to be better than average shit. Literally, if possible. Not that I ever came in contact with his leavings, but if I had, that's pretty much what I would've thought about it. DOOM was a pretty good release, as well as those live limited releases, -1 and Shinjitsu no Tsubasa. But Namida -kHz- was a such a fucking disappointment that was only highlighted by the fact that they choose to release it in 5 types. In addition, Rame, who's the only meaningful member in the whole band, no matter what you say (Aisu slash Eros? Pfffff easily be replaced with anyone), became a total asshat, not giving a fuck about international fans. Maybe it's because when he was in VIDOLL he got used to the fact that hey, people are actually coming all over the world to see him and his band. So it became obvious to him. Sure everyone's gonna do the same with BFN as well. To me it seems like he thinks he's right at the top of everything even if he changed bands. He became famous in VIDOLL, surely that hasn't gone away. Okay, personal ranting. I'm just so disappointed with the whole band. :'D And I'm waiting for Kameleo to become a flop. Not that they have yet, but they're just way too good to be good forever. // Okay, I wanna add one point to the rant above. There has been discussion about whether Japanese bands SHOULD care about international fans that much because we are a minority of their whole fanbase. Yeah, sure they don't NEED to. But if they don't need to acknowledge my existence, I don't need to care about them either. :'D Works both ways.

I don't count the others because they mainly compose like one song in an eternity, and Kouichi composes like 90% of the stuff.

Visual kei as it is now will die out some day, just like it has with every generation. Then someone 10 years later decides to bring up this crazy host-boy-dressed-up-in-glitter-only VK that is now in. But saying VK will die completely just because it is the way it is now? That's bullshit. Nothing is referring to that. And I think that's what Kyouki actually tried to say in that interview rather than pointing out that current VK is horrible and will kill the whole genre. Every era of VK will die. New waves come and go and nothing can stop that.
