TBH I think you could probably use music theory to objectively state they are a wee bit mediocre, but yeah...how else would you know your opinions are yours??

in all seriousness, this might be my second favorite album of theirs after cakera. it gets a little slow after REINCARNATION MORNING (I really really don't care for MOVE ON DARKNESS, it drags the album down), but it picks up very nicely again with MARK MARS. it took me a while to sit down and actually give Emadara a fair shot, but it was worth it. required listen for those interested in classic/old vk.

I can't place it usually but each of their releases so (despite being good) are riddled with melodies which I feel like a recognize. Has anyone identified any while listening to them? 首輪教育のすすめ's opening guitar section for another example. I'm a fan of this lineup and there are some cool songs too but they're not quite living up to previous bands apart from the production quality.
I wrote in a status update a few days ago, but the chorus in 「悪人」is lifted directly from abingdon boys school's Nephilim. Here (timestamped):

it's an easy listen, but objectively imo it's nothing special - the hype surrounding these guys makes it sound like they're the next big thing, but I honestly fail to see the appeal. the songs all sound the same other than 「悪人」and おやすみ。and I still cannot tell 火炎瓶 and 汚れた豚 apart after 5 or more listens. kagerou did the heavy thing with much more diversity and catchy tunes back in early 00s.
also the plagiarism in the chorus of 「悪人」is cheap and makes me hate it

San is my favorite for sure. Core and Hyakki Kenran are my least favorites and the others I like pretty much equally depending on my mood.
Also @Kirito here's San in FLAC if you still need it: https://mega.nz/file/XYgjgSoa#YBjPfmYCmEXpKKhtd87jVqLx9NWZ_-wzKQ7s0IgVRdg

Updated:
SLOTHREAT is gonna release their first full-length album, called "THEMIS", this September. Thanks to @sleepy coffee for the info!
SLOTHREAT posted a cryptic message on Twitter hinting at something coming on May 23rd. This tweet comes almost one year after their debut EP was released, so it's possibly a new release?
anyway, stream Allium on Spotify!

Stealing @Peace Heavy mk II's moment
in Introductions/Goodbyes
Posted · Edited by saishuu
Hi! I'm leaving the forum as well.
Thought about leaving quietly -- and I did --, but the message @Peace Heavy mk II posted made me think otherwise. Sure there's quite a few people here that will celebrate not having to deal with me anymore and that's fine! But I'd rather focus on the fact that I've been here for 13 years and that leaving a goodbye note feels appropriate.
I joined the forums when I was 16, only knowing much about VK, and I leave at 29, not knowing much about the current state of VK but knowing just enough about life and my personal boundaries to make me comfortable enough to realize I don't feel at home here anymore. And I used to feel like that for years and it sucks that this feeling has gone, but I suppose that was bound to change eventually -- and that's cool! Things change and end all the time.
Anyway, I'm grateful for the few friends I made here throughout the years (y'all know who you are!) and for the countless downloads I leeched along the way. It was a good and entertaining ride for the most part. If any of you would like to stay in touch, I'm over at Twitter at @reomulus. See ya.
